Objective To investigate the difference of restlessness of patients who was in the stage of recovery from general anesthesia when using urethral catheterization in different time. AIM:To investigate the expression of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-2 (PARP-2) during rat car-diac hypertrophy in vitro and in vivo, and to explore the effects of PARP-2 on the cardiac hypertrophy.METHODS:Ab-dominal aortic coarctation ( AAC) was performed to establish a model of pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy in SD rats.The expression of PARP-2 at mRNA and protein levels in the myocardium was determined by real-time PCR and Western blot.The hypertrophy model of the cardiomyocytes was induced by treating the cells with angiotensinⅡ( AngⅡ) . PARP-2 was knocked down by siRNAs in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes and the cardiomyocyte hypertrophy was evaluated by measuring the mRNA levels of ANF, BNP, and β-MHC and the cellular surface area.RESULTS: The expression of PARP-2 at mRNA and protein levels was both increased in the AAC rats as compared with those in the sham animals.The expression of PARP-2 at mRNA and protein levels was also increased in a time-and concentration-dependent manner in AngⅡ-induced hypertrophy model of the cardiomyocytes.In the neonatal rat cardiomyocytes, knockdown of PARP-2 ex-pression by siRNA attenuated AngⅡ-induced cardiac hypertrophy of the cardiomyocytes, indicating that endogenous PARP-2 played a positive regulatory role in cardiac hypertrophy.CONCLUSION:The mRNA and protein levels of PARP-2 in-crease in the in vitro and in vivo models of cardiac hypertrophy.Knockdown of PARP-2 protects cardiomyocytes from hyper-trophy.

Objective To explore the dynamic change of serum leptin interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-8(IL-8)during cerebral infarction,and to analyze the possible relationship between these factors and the severity of the disease.Method The levels of serum leptin,IL-6 and IL-8 were measured by radioimmunoassay in 60 patients with acute cerebral infarction,who were admitted to the hospital within 24 hours after stroke.Patients' neurologic impairment were evaluated by European Stroke Scale(ESS)at 1,3 and 7 days respectively after hospitalization.At the same time,another 30 normal adults were enrolled set as control group. Results The levels of serum Leptin,IL-8 in patients group after at 1 days,3 and 7 days were higher than those in the controls(P0.05).The ESS of these patients were 76.77?26.42,70.02?29.17,74.65?28.42 respectively,after 1,3 and 7 days.It shown that ESS simply correlated to the level of IL-8(P0.05).Statistic analysis was carried,but by using t test and linear correlation.(SPSS11.5 statistical package).Conclusion Leptin,IL-6 and IL-8 probably play a role in the inflammatory,reaction during acute cerebral infarction.The IL-8 may reflect the severity of the disease.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of CEUS for thyroid TI-RADS 3,4 nodules.Methods The CEUS performence of 95 patients with thyroid TI-RADS 3,4 nodules (all were confirmed by surgery pathology) diagosed by conventional ultrasound were reviewed retrospectively,and the value of CEUS in the revision and differential diagnosis of thyroid TI-RADS 3,4 nodules were analyzed.Results Compared with pathological pattern,conventional ultrasound TI-RADS classifications in assessing the property of thyroid nodule had no statistical differences (χ2 =3.56,P =0.06).For thyroid TI-RADS 3,4 nodules,compared with conventional ultrasound TI-RADS classifications,the diagnosis accuracy of CEUS score and revised CEUS TI-RADS classifications showed significant differeces respectively (P=0.03,＜0.01) for thyroid papillary carcinoma greater than 1 cm.But no statistical difference were found respectively (P=0.25,1.00) for thyroid papillary carcinoma smaller than 1 cm.According to the ROC curve analysis,the area under the curve of traditional ultrasound TI-RADS classifications,CEUS score and revised CEUS TI-RADS classifications were 0.64,0.75,0.81 respectively,cut-off value was TI-RADS 4a,1 score,TI-RADS 4a respectively,the sensitivity and specificity of evaluating benign and malignant nodules was 45.3％ and 80.0％,69.3％ and 65.0％,82.7％ and 60.0％,respectively.The area under the ROC curve were statistical difference between CEUS score,revised CEUS TI-RADS classifications and conventional ultrasound TI-RADS classifications (both P＜0.05),while CEUS score and revised CEUS TI-RADS classifications without statistical difference.Conclusion CEUS had the revised and improved identification value for thyroid TI-RADS 3,4 nodules.

Objective To regard the implication of viruses particularly herpes in pemphigus vulgaris,and assess and compare the level of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 (HSV1 and HSV2),cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in patients with pemphigus vulgarisand healthy people.Methods In this study,23 patients with pemphigus vulgaris and 26 healthy individuals comprised the experimental and control groups,respectively.Serum samples were taken from both groups;the levels of IgG antibodies against HSV1,HSV2,CMV and EBV were measured using ELISA.Results Immunoglobulin G titer was higher for all four viruses in the patient group in comparison to the control group.This difference was significant for anti-EBV,anti-CMV and anti-HSV2 (t=2.16,P＜0.05;t =4.76,P＜ 0.01;t=3.75,P＜0.01),respectively,but not significant for anti-HSV1 (t=0.52,P＞0.05).Conclusion Viruses including EBV,CMV,and HSV2 probably play a role in the pathogenesis of pemphigus in addition to the effects of genetics,toxins and other predisposing factors.In this study,no statistically significant relationship was observed between HSV1 and pemphigus vulgaris.More studies must be done in this regard.

Objective To investigate the effects of remote preconditioning on inflammatory cytokines and respiratory index of rabbit lung injured by ischemia/reperfusion.Methods Eighteen rabbits were randomly divided into three groups(6 each):control group(C),ischemia-reperfusion group(I/R)and remote preconditioning group(R).The plasma concentrations of interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)and interleukin-10(IL-10)were measured before ischemia and 60,120 and 180 min after reperfusion.Respiratory index(A-aO2/PaO2)was calculated before ischemia and 15,30,60,120 and 180 min after reperfusion.The animals were sacrificed after reperfusion,and the left lung was removed for calculation of wet/dry(W/D)ratio and lung permeability index,histological examination was done with light microscope,and diffuse alveolar damage(DAD)scores was estimated.Results The plasma concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-? were significantly higher in I/R group than in C group(P

Objective To perform modification study of cyanoacrylate (CA) medical adhesive and to select the optimal mo-difying material and the best ratio.Methods Carboxylic multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs-COOH), multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), hydrophobic nano-silica, nitrile rubber, epoxy resin and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) were used to modify 5% triclosan/cyanoacrylate antimicrobial adhesive respectively. The bond strength, toughness and viscosity of the modified adhesive were examined in different concentrations.Results 0.064% MWCNTs-COOH, 6% nano-silica, 4% nitrile rubber and 6.4% epoxy resin all had good effects in strength modification. The bond strength were (14.71±1.48)MPa, (14.03±1.92)MPa, (14.6±1.78)MPa and (14.05±1.46)MPa respectively. 8% nano-silica had the lowest Tg of (1.1±0.24)℃ and the strongest viscosity of (15 536.68±28.4)cP. When the nano-silica concentration was 8%, the compound was very viscous and sticky. When the antimicrobial adhesive modified with 6% nano-silica, the bond strength was (14.03±1.92)MPa, the Tg was (3.6±0.68)℃, and the viscosity was (5 278.87±31.68)cP.Conclusion 6% nano-silica is the best modifying material, and has the optimal effect of modification.

Objective To determine the role of liver function test in the preoperative diagnosis of concomitant asymptomatic common bile duct (CBD)stone in patients with cholecystolithiasis.Methods A retrospective study was conducted from January 2012 to October 2013 at the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery,the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College on 426 patients who were operated for cholecystolithiasis.According to whether they had abnormal liver function,these patients were divided into the CBD stone group (n =44) and the cholecystolithiasis group (n =382).The values of the different components of liver functions test such as ALT,AST,AKP,GGT,TBIL and DBIL in diagnosing CBD stone were statistically analyzed.Results This study involved 426 patients,159 men and 231 women,with a mean age of (50.96 ± 12.93) years.44 patients with both CBD stone and cholecystolithiasis.The rates of abnormal liver function were 77.27％ (34/44) vs 4.45％ (17/382) in CBD stone group vs cholecystolithiasis group.The difference was significant (x2 =198.54 ; P =0.000).In logistic regression analysis,only elevated serum level of GGT (OR =10.067 ; P =0.007) remained as an independent predictor of CBD stone.On ROC (receiver operating characteristic) curves analysis,the area under the curve was 0.881.With a cut-off point for GGT at 84.5 U/L,there was a sensitivity of 72.2 per cent,specificity of 96.1 per cent,and positive and negative predictive values of 76.3 per cent and 96.2 per cent respectively.Conclusion Our study showed that liver function,especially GGT,was a predictor of CBD stone.
