Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2006;44(11):828-830
2.Toll-like receptors and tumor microenvironment
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(8):567-569
Toll-like receptor (TLR) plays a crucial role in innate immune response and the subsequent induction of adaptive immunity. TLR is expressed on immune cells as well as epithelial cells and tumor cells. When endogenous and exogenous ligands bind with TLR, TLR signaling pathways are activated and a large number of inflammatory cytokines are released, creating an inflammatory microenvironment and leading to tumor formation, invasion and metastasis.
4.Effects of gender on median effective target plasma concentration of propofol inhibiting responses to laryngeal mask airway insertion
Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2013;33(10):1226-1228
Objective To evaluate the effects of gender on the median effective target plasma concentration (EC50) of propofol inhibiting responses to laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion in patients. Methods Fiftyfive ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients, aged 20-60 yr,with body mass index 18-25 kg/m2,requiring LAM insertion, undergoing elective surgery, were divided into 2 groups according to the gender:male group (group M,n =27) and female group (group F,n =28).Propofol was given by target-controlled infusion.Anesthesia was induced with target-controlled infusion of propofol. The concentration of propofol was determined by using modified Dixon's up-and-down method. The initial target plasma concentration of propofol was 3.0 μg/ml (group M) or 2.7μg/ml (group F) and the ratio between the 2 successive concentrations was 1.1.Fentanyl 1 μg/kg was injected intravenously at about 10 min of propofol target-controlled infusion.LMA was inserted after the effect-site and plasma concentrations were balanced. The positive response to LMA insertion was defined as development of swallowing, coughing, biting LMA,body movement and laryngospasm during insertion. When the response to LMA insertion was positive, the concentration of propofol was increased in the next patient and when the response was negative, the concentration was decreased in the next patient. The EC50 and 95 % confidence interval of propofol inhibiting responses to LMA insertion were calculated. Results The EC50 (95 % confidence interval) of propofol was 3.11 (2.92-3.30) μg/ml in group F and 2.70 (2.55-2.85) μg/ml in group M (/ < 0.05).Conclusion The EC50 of propofol inhibiting responses to LMA insertion is higher in female patients than in male patients.
5.Effects of acupuncture and moxibustion of Yangchi point on carpal tunnel syndrome
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(2):117-119
Objective To explore the difference of treating carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) with needling Yangchi point and moxibustion on Yangchi point. Methods 38 cases of CTS were randomly recruited into a treatment group (19 cases) and a control group (19 cases). The treatment group was treated with electric acupuncture on Yangchi point and the control group was treated with moxibustion on Yangchi point.VAS (visual analogue scale) and GSS (overall symptom score table) scores were measured before and after the treatment. Results After the treatment VAS,GSS scores were (3.95± 1.87),(13.42±7.81) in the treatment group and (4.26±2.38),(14.63±9.97) in the control group, both decreased than those in the same group before the treatment [treatment group were (6.89± 1.56),(25.58±8.09) ; the control group were (5.79± 1.69),(20.37±8.67)],and the difference between the two groups was significant (t=-3.06,-3.39,P<0.05).3 months follow-up after the treatment, the value of VAS and GSS scores in treatment group were (3.29±2.31)% and (8.06±7.77); in the control group were (3.28±2.95) and (10.44±9.82),both decreased than those in the same group before the treatment [treatment group were (6.76± 1.56),(24.76±8.17); the control group were (5.78± 1.73),(20.33± 8.92) (P<0.05)].The difference of VAS score was not significant between the two group (t=-1.49,P>0.05); while the difference of GSS score showed statistical difference between the two groups (t=-2.64,P<0.05).Conclusion Acupunctureon Yangchi point can effectively improve pain, numbness and motor activity in patients with the carpal tunnel syndrome.
6.Performance evaluation of assistance on advanced schistosomiasis
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 1989;0(04):-
Since 2004,provinces and cities began to implement the national policy that gave the poverty advanced schistosomiasis patients some temporary assistance. The central and local government arranged special funds to provide medical assistance. This paper reviewed the policy of the assistance, the necessity of performance evaluation and research status of advanced schistosomiasis. Finally,it put forward some suggestions on the implementation of performance evaluation of advanced schistosomiasis,so as to provide reference for the government to allocate limited health resources reasonably and optimally and perfect relevant policies.
7.Preparation and Quality Control of Compound Doxepin Hydrochloride Cream
China Pharmacy 1991;0(01):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the preparation and quality control of compound doxepin hydrochloride cream.METHO DS:The compound cream was prepared with doxepin hydrochloride and triamcinolone acetonide, and the contents were determinated by UV-spectrophotometry and HPLC respectively.RESULTS:The calibration curves were linear in the range of the concentrations of the experiment respectively,r=0.9999.CONCLUSION:The method is simple, accurate and suitable for the quality control of this preparation.
8.Ribosomal DNA-ITS sequence analysis and molecular identification of Morinda officinalis and its counterfeit species
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(06):-
Objective To compare the rDNA-ITS differentiation and its regulation between Morinda (officinalis) and its counterfeit species, and provide DNA molecular markers for the fingerprint identification of them. Methods The rDNA-ITS regions of M. officinalis and its counterfeit species were amplified and sequenced, then analyzed by means of CLUSTRAL X and MEGA softwares. Results The internal transcribed spacers (ITS) including ITS1, 5.8S, ITS2, and partial 18S and 26S were determined. In DNA DIST analysis, the range of diversity among M. officinalis and M. shughuaeusis, M. umbellata was (2.9%-)5.8% and 2.9%-4.2% based on ITS1 and ITS2; the range of diversity between M. officinalis and Damnacanthus indicus was 21.2% and 18.9% based on ITS1 and ITS2. Phylogenetic tree based on ITS and 5.8S sequence data indicated the M. umbellata and M. shuanghuaensis were closely related then with M. officinalis, while D. indicus was monophyletic group. Conclusion The rDNA-ITS sequence is a better molecular marker for idertification of M. officinalis and its counterfeit species.
9.Chemical terrorism and the study on its medical protection
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
Chemical terror is one of the main forms of terrorism. The proliferation of chemical weapon and abuse of chemical poisons make chemical terrorism flourish and diversified in occurrence. The features of chemical terrorism are unexpectedness, surreptitiousness, diversity in their vehicles and media, and it could be widespread to involve a broad area to create a serious tumult. Medical protection is the pivotal step to control the influence of chemical terror. Anti-chemical terror medicine will provide new important subjects for researches in chemical-defense medicine, and studies in chemical-defense medicine will lay the foundation of anti-chemical-terror medicine. In conclusion, it is imperative that the principles, main subjects, and strategies of research on anti-chemical-terror medicine should be established as early as possible.
