1.Epidemic situation and prevention and control strategy of clonorchiasis in Guangdong Province,China
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2016;28(3):229-233
Clonorchiasis is one of the food?borne parasitic diseases. Adult parasites live in the human liver and gallbladder tube system, causing serious complications, such as gallstones, cholecystitis and cholangitis, and even bile duct cancer. The disease is very popular in our country, and the population infection rate is high. It is an important public health problem. Guang?dong Province is the earliest province being found of clonorchiasis and with serious epidemic. In the second national human para?sitic diseases distribution survey, the results showed that the average infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis in the epidemic areas in Guangdong was 16.42%. It is estimated that the population of C. sinensis infection is over 6 million. The prevention and con?trol of clonorchiasis in China is still in the initial stage currently and we face many challenges such as unclear epidemic charac?teristics and transmission mode, and lack of long?term prevention and control mechanism. This article introduces the epidemic situation of clonorchiasis and prevention and control strategies and measures in Guangdong.

3.Research progress of fractional exhaled nitric oxide in infants with wheezing
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2015;30(22):1751-1753
In recent years, the morbidity rate of pediatric asthma showed a rising trend. The typical symptom of recurrent wheezing(> 3 times/year) in infants is the starting point for the diagnosis of asthma in children and may be the early clinical manifestation of asthma.Chronic airway inflammation, which inducing airway hyperresponsiveness is the main pathophysiology of recurrent episodes of wheezing.Monitoring of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) is a simple, fast, effective, and noninvasive marker of airway inflammation in asthma. The concentration of nitric oxide can effectively reflect the airway inflammation and is positively correlated with the severity of airway inflammation.Monitoring airway inflammation is helpful to diagnose and treat the asthmatic children, and for predicting asthma exacerbation, guiding and monitoring the asthma. Thus, this review will discuss FeNO measurements among wheezing infants and asthmatic that have been identified in large-scale studies recently.

BACKGROUND:Total knee arthroplasty for knee osteoarthritis accompanied with extra-articular deformity is stil chal enging. An individual replacement plan should be designed to obtain good mechanical axis and to recover suitable soft-tissue balance. OBJECTIVE:To observe the safety and feasibility of individual y designed one-stage total knee arthroplasty for knee osteoarthritis combined with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity. METHODS:A total of eight patients with knee osteoarthritis combined with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity were enrol ed in this study. According to preoperative plan, five patients underwent intra-articular compensatory osteotomy, and the remaining three received extra-articular corrective osteotomy. Multi-planar deformities as wel as soft-tissue conditions were recorded. Main outcome measures included the hospital for special surgery score, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index score and alignments deviation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The patients were averagely fol owed up for 29 months. The hospital for special surgery score changed from preoperative 32.5 points to postoperative 87.5 points. The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index score was increased from preoperative 37.1 points to postoperative 88.8 points (P<0.05). Mean mechanical axis deviation (either varus or valgus) changed from preoperative 17.1° to postoperative 1.4° (P<0.05). Al cases with extra-articular corrective osteotomy healed within 3 months, and none had postoperative infection, loosening or venous thromboembolic events. One patient was with 5° residual knee anti-sheets. Results verified that one-stage total knee arthroplasty procedures are effective in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis accompanied with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity in accordance with individual preoperative plan.
