Bacterial N-Acyl-L-homoserine lactones (AHLs)-mediated quorum sensing is involved in the regulation of diverse biological functions. As the bacterial pathogen population density increases, AHLs concentration secreted by pathogen reaches a threshold and then interacts with their intercellular receptor and triggers expression of virulence genes. It is a promising approach to biologically control bacterial disease in plants and animals by manipulating bacterial AHL-quorum sensing with AHLs-degrading enzyme and AHL analogue.
2.Endoscopic intraluminal closure of colon perforation with metal clip: a study in porcine model

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of endoscopic intraluminal closure of small colon perforation with metal clips in porcine model.Methods A 2 cm full-thickness colon perforation was made in 4 bama mini-pigs.One did not receive local closure as a control, while 3 others underwent closure with bi-and tri-arm clips, one of which received additional fibrin glue injection after closure.Necropsy was done on day 14 after the procedure, and dye leak test, peritoneal fluid bacteria culture and histological examination were performed.During the 2 week observation period, the body temperature and blood leukocytes count were recorded and compared.Results Endoscopic closure of the colon perforation was technically successful in all 3 pigs.The body temperature and blood leukocyte count of these pigs were both lower than those of the control.Necropsy showed that the perforation in control pig was not completely closed and with multiple adhesions around.Perforation complete closure and pathological healing without adhesion were observed in 2 pigs with clip closure only, while adhesion and incomplete pathological healing was detected in the other one with clip closure plus fibrinogen injection (P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic intraluminal closure of a 2 cm colon perforation with metal clips is feasible and safe, while further study is needed to evaluate the effect of combined local fibrinogen injection.

The paper is mainly through understanding the status of Chinese patent anti-hepatoma drugs, the content, characteristic and analysis method of dynamic risk monitoring, and then select the risk control indicators, collect risk information. 5.The mechanism of RCE-4, an active ingredient of Reineckia carnea , in combination with celecoxib on the anti-proliferation of cervical cancer Ca Ski cells

This research explored the synergistic effects and the potential mechanisms of RCE-4 and various nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) on the proliferation of cervical cancer Ca Ski cells. The MTT assay and CalcuSyn V2.0 software were used to detect cell proliferation and calculate the combination index (CI); the expression levels of various proteins were analyzed using Western blot assay; mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) was assessed using JC-1 staining; acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EB) double-fluorescence staining was used to detect the apoptosis of Ca Ski cells; a co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) assay was used to analyze the relative content of Bcl-2-Beclin 1 complex in Ca Ski cells. The results demonstrate that the combination of RCE-4 and NSAIDs increases the inhibition of Ca Ski cells compared to the single-RCE-4 group, and celecoxib provided the best synergistic effect among the four NSAIDs tested, with a CI of 0.32. 6.A two - year's results of iontophoresis -assisted transepithelial corneal cross -linking for progressive keratoconus

AIM: To report a two- year's results of iontophoresis-assisted transepithelial corneal cross-linking (I-CXL) for progressive keratoconus.
METHODS: Thirty - four eyes in 24 patients with progressive keratoconus ( mean age 21. 0 ± 5. 6 years;range: 14-32 years) were treated. After 1g/ L riboflavin-distilled water solution was administered by iontophoresis-assited (current 1mA) transepithelial method for 5min in total, standard surface UVA irradiation ( 370nm, 3mW/cm2 ) was performed at a 1 - cm distance for 30min. The best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) measured as LogMAR number, corneal refractive astigmatism, K1, K2, Kmean, Kmax, intraocular pressure, endothelial cell density, the thickness at corneal apex and the thinnest point were measured preoperatively and 2a postoperatively.
RESULTS:At 2a after the procedure, BCVA (LogMAR) improved from 0. 32 ± 0. 25 to 0. 25 ± 0. 19 ( t = 2. 849, P =0. 015). K1 decreased from 47. 12±4. 33 to 46. 06±4. 77 (t =2. 652, P= 0. 015). K2 decreased from 51. 36±5. 59 to 50. 40±6. 16 (t= 2. 121, P= 0. 047). Kmean decreased from 49. 12±4. 76 to 48. 10±5. 25(t = 2. 663, P = 0. 015). Kmax decreased from 57. 57±8. 30 to 55. 91±8. 14 (t = 2. 398, P = 0. 026). The corneal apex thickness decreased from 476. 90±38. 71μ m to 454. 43 ± 40. 86μ m ( t = 2. 853, P = 0. 010 ). The thinnest thickness decreased from 464. 38 ± 39. 92μ m to 433. 86 ±50. 78μ m ( t = 3. 485, P = 0. 002 ). Corneal refractive astigmatism, intraocular pressure and endothelial cell density did not show significant changes.
CONCLUSION: I - CXL for progressive keratoconus is safe and effective which can prevent deterioration of progressive keratoconus within 2a, but further long-term studies are necessary still.
7. Diagnosis and treatment of amiodarone-related thyroid dysfunction

Amiodarone can lead to a series of thyroid dysfunction in antiarrhythmic patients, including hypothyroidism(AIH) or hyperthyroidism(AIT), which will lead to irreversible injury and even life-threatening. Therefore, the diagnosis,classification and management of amiodarone-related thyroid dysfunction is challenging, and standardized management is imperative. Combined with the basic viewpoints of the guidelines and evidence-based, in particular the”guidelines for the use of amiodarone” and the “guidelines for the management of 2018 ETA amiodarone-related thyroid dysfunction”, the diagnosis and treatment of amiodarone-related thyroid dysfunction is systematically described, Some opinions and suggestions were put forward to solve the clinical problems of amiodarone related thyroid dysfunction.
8.~(131)I treatment of hyperthyroidism in children and adolescents

The efficacy of ~(131)I treatment of hyperthyroidism in children and adolescents was evaluated. Being unsuitable for medical therapy,31 patients (aged 11-18 years) with hyperthyroidism received ~(131)I treatment with a dose of 0.925-3.33 MBq/g of thyroid and were followed-up for 20 to 76 months.Fifteen patients were euthyroid,5 suffered from late-onset hypothyroidism,and 11 were still hyperthyroid,but their symptoms and signs of hyperthyroidism were markedly improved.Of the 18 patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO),8 patients recovered,4 were improved,TAO in 1 patients deteriorated and in S patients remained unchanged.~(131)I is a relative safe and effective treatment for children and adolescents above 10 years old with hyperthyroidism,being unsuitable for medical therapy.
9.The usefulness of the modified mini-mental status examination for cognitive dysfunction screening in lupus

Objective To establish the bedside screening scale for cognition examination in systemic lupus erythematosus patients.Methods The modified mini-mental status examination(MMMSE)(revised by the Neurology Department of Hua Shan Hospital)was applied to examine the recognition function of SLE pa- tients.The results were compared with those of the traditional mini-mental status examination(MMSE).Results MMSE examination results showed that NPSLE score was lower than that of normal control group(P<0.01),no significant difference was found between NPSLE patients and SLE control group(P>0,05),and the completion time was longer than SLE control group and normal control group(P<0.01);but no significant difference was found between SLE control group and normal control group.The result of MMMSE examination showed that the score of NPSLE group was lower than that of SLE control group and normal control group(P<0.01),and the completion time was longer than SLE control group and normal control group(P<0.01);but the score of SLE control group was lower than the normal control group,and its completion time was longer than normal control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion MMSE is the most widely used dementia scale,but it is not sensitive in demonstrating the impairment of recognition function.The several items we added to the MMMSE can detect recognition impairment more sensitively,and ean be very easily applied,costs less time(within 10 minutes).Therefore,it can be used for SLE bedside screening.
