Objective To monitor lung growth rule of normal middle-late pregnancy fetal. Methods 599 cases of 18 and 40 weeks normal singletons were grouped by every two weeks. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane were measured, and the growth curve was described. The ratio of right lung area (RLa) and head circumference (Hc),chest circumference (Tc) and of the chest area (Ta) in different gestational ages was calcalated. The correlation coefficient was obtained by applying statistical analysis. Results There was a linear relationship between RLa/Hc and RLa/Tc and growth of gestational age;the regression equation was:(RLa/Hc: ?Y= 0.948X-1.221, r2 =0.898, the RLa/Tc: ?Y=0.944X-1.800, r2 =0.894). RLa/Ta in different ges-tational age was in constant range:0.42~0.55. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane increased along with the gestational age, and the growth speed was:before and after diameter(the cross-sec-tional plane) > upper and lower diameter (sagittal plane) > about size (the cross-sectional plane). Conclusion Prenatal ultrasound can evaluate the growth rule of normal fetal lung and provide the basis for assessment of fetal lung maturity.

ve To establish a method for determination of arsenic in drinking water. Methods The contents of arsenic in water samples were determined directly by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotome-try with masking agent of palladium. The working conditions were defined as wave length of 193.7 nm, slit width of 1.3 nm, current of hollow cathode lamp of 12.0 mA; drying 40 sec at 80℃~140℃ ; ashing 20 sec at 1100℃~1200℃; atomizing 5 sec at 2 300℃; purifying 4 sec at 2 600℃ . Results The linear relationship was 10~200?g/ L ar-senic. The average recovery rates of water samples at concentrations of 50 ?g/ L and 150?g/ L arsenic after being added arsenic standard solutions were 100.7% and 103.6% respectively, and sensitivity reached 10?g/ L. The cor-relation coefficient were 0.9954~0.999 7 obtained from 6 randomly repeated determination of standard curve. The metal ions coexisting in determined water samples didn't interfere the determination of arsenic under the application of common uncoated graphite tube. The 0.2% aluminum didn't disturb the determination of arsenic also. Conclusion This method could be applied in the determination of arsenic in water, especially could be applied in the direct deter-mination of arsenic in more clear water samples.

Objective To investigate the role of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in liver flbrosis in infants with biliary atresia (BA) and its impact on prognosis. Methods Fourty-six (46) cases of infants with BA undergoing elective Kasai surgery were selected. In the same period, 30 cases of children with choledochal cyst and 17 cases of children with portal vein cavernous transformation were selected. The expressions of HSP70 in liver tissues were detected using immunohistochemical staining. The liver flbrosis in children with BA was detected using Sirius red-saturated picric acid staining. The expressions of HSP70 proteins in different flbrotic liver tissues were detected by using double staining. All postoperative BA infants were followed up and ended at June 30, 2016.Results The proportion of high expression of HSP 70 proteins in BA infants were signiflcantly higher than that in children with choledochal cyst and vein cavernous transformation (P<0.05). Rank correlation analysis showed that the expressions of HSP70 in liver tissues were positively correlated with the degree of liver flbrosis (r=0.861,P<0.05). 15 patients died among 46 cases of BA infants. The survival rate in BA children with mild liver flbrosis was 82.4%, which was signiflcantly higher than 58.6% in the severe group (P<0.05). The survival rate in HSP70 protein low expression group was 85.0%, while in HSP70 protein high expression group was 53.8%. Kaplan-meier survival analysis showed that the median survival time in the HSP70 protein low expression group was (34.0±2.6) months, while in the HSP70 protein high expression group was (18.3±2.2) months, the difference was statistically signiflcant (χx2=4.765,P=0.029).Conclusions The expressions of HSP70 proteins in liver tissues in infants with BA were high and were positively correlated with the degree of hepatic flbrosis. It suggested the possible involvement of HSP70 in the process of liver fibrosis. The upregulated expressions of HSP70 often indicated poor prognosis in children. It could be used as determining biomarker for prognosis.
