Red cell deformability in diabetics is much lower than that in normal controls. In patients with diabetic retinopathy, the decrease of red cell deformability is much more prominent than in patients without. Urinary albumin excretion rate in diabetic patients is inversely correlated with red cell deformability .The data above suggest that there is a close relationship between decreased red cell deformability and microangtopathy in diabetic patients

Objective To analyze the clinical value of microRNAs applied in the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.Methods The expression of mir-155,mir-196a,mir-181a,mir-181b in three pancreatic cancer cell lines PANC-1,PaCa-2,AsPC-1 pancreatic cancer,normal pancreatic cells and plasmas of 100 patients with pancreatic cancer ,100 normal volunteers were detected by Real-time PCR,and the results were analyzed.The expression of mir-155,mir-196a,mir-181a,mir-181b in 100 pancreatic cancer tissues and 100 normal pancreatic tissues were detected by immunohistochemical,and the results were analyzed. Results Real-timePCR test results showed that compared with normal pancreatic cells,mir-155,mir-196a expression in three pancreatic cancer cells PANC-1,PaCa-2,AsPC-1 were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with healthy volunteers,mir-155,mir-196a,mir-181a,mir-181b expression of plasma in pancreatic cancer patients were significantly higher(P<0.05).Immunohistochemistry results showed that mir-155,mir-196a mir-181a and mir-181b expression in pancreatic tissue were significantly higher than that in normal pancreatic tissue (P <0.05 ).Conclusion The expression of mir-155,mir-196a,mir-181a and mir-181b are high in pancreatic cancer tissues and pancreatic cancer cell lines,which are closely related to the development of pancreatic cancer.Those microRNAs are expected to be cancer markers for early diagnosis of,pancreatic cancer,have highly diagnostic value and broad clinical application.

Objective To detect the expression of macrophage inlfammatory protein 1α(MIP-1α) in the myocardium of viral myocarditis (VMC) mice at different phases. Methods A total of 120 4-week-old male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into 2 groups, 80 in the VMC group and 40 in the control group. Mice in VMC group were inoculated intraperitoneally with coxsackievirus B3 to build VMC models, while mice in control group were treated with DMEM cultivate liquid. Ten mice of each group were sacriifced on days 3, 7, 15 and 30 after treatment and their heart tissues were collected for analysis. The level of MIP-1αin the myocardium was determined by immunohistochemistry. Myocardial histopathology was examined with hematoxylin and eosin stain. In addition, the relationship between the level of MIP-1αand the degree of myocardial lesion was investigated. Results The expression of myocardial MIP-1αprotein in VMC group was up-regulated in myocardium on day 3 after inoculation of virus, and slowly decreased after the peak on day 7, but still sustained a high level on day 30. Compared with the control group, the levels of MIP-1αin VMC group were increased signiifcantly at every phase (P<0.05). Furthermore, positive correlation was found between MIP-1αprotein expression levels and myocardial histopathologic scores in VMC group (r=0.94, P<0.01). Conclusion The up-regulated expression of MIP-1αmay play a critical role in the pathogenic mechanisms of viral myocarditis.

Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) is one of the most life-threatening human malignancies due to its high morbidity and mortality rates.Molecular targeted therapy is promising in treating some patients with NSCLC.However,it is still challenging to select proper candidates.The EML4-ALK fusion oncogene represents a novel molecular target which appears mainly in lung adenocarcinoma,and appears to be a potential biomarker associated with resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors.This review was intended to outline current status of preclinical and clinical research of this molecule.

Objective To investigate the association between renin-like activity (RA) and angiotensin Ⅱ (AⅡ) and the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Methods Blood samples were taken from 42 patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). According to the ovarian stimulating response, the patients were divided into 4 groups: group Ⅰ, low responders, 7 cases; group Ⅱ, moderate responders, 8 cases; group Ⅲa high responders without using albumin, 7 cases, group Ⅲb, high responders with albumin, 10 cases; group Ⅳ, severe and moderate OHSS, 10 cases. 5 patients for intrauterin insemination with natural cycle as control. Follicular fluid (FF) was collected at oocyte retrieval from 28 IVF patients (including 7 OHSS patients). Fluid from ascites and hydrothorax was obtained from 3 OHSS patients, and peritoneal fluid obtained from 5 infertility patients by laparoscopy and ascitic fluid obtained from 6 ovarian carcinoma patients served as control. RA and AⅡ levels were measured by radioimmunoassay. ObjectiveLamiophlomis rotate is the rare perfumes Tibetan medicine.This article aimed to explore the current research of Lamiophlomis rotate on the base of literature.MethodsEstablish database of researching literature on Lamiophlomis rotate in domestic published between 2000 and 2010.Results Altogether 210 articles distributed in 112 kinds of journals were found.These articles involved with 8 areas of clinical research(113 article),pharmacological research(18 article),component analysis(35 article),preparation process (15 article),breed and cultivation of seeds (4 article),new drug testing (3 article),biological characteristics and drug economics.32 articles gained fimancial assistance from fund.Three articles on breed and cultivation of seeds gained financial assistance from fund,occupying 75.00％ of such research.Conclusion There were few articles published in core journals,besides relatively scattered distribution of researching institute and journals.Studies on breed and cultivation of seeds should be strengthened.
