Nitrogen mustard encapsulated with liposomes was administered to the rabbits with acute experimental serum sickness(AESS). Then the serum levels of anti-BSA antibodies and circulating; immune complex(CIC), CH50, and WBC count were determined. The ACPase activity of spleen macrophages was measured. And the sections of renal tissues, after HE-stained, were studied for the accumulation of CIC and the pathological changes. It was found that liposome-encapsulated nitrogen mustard can increase the macrophage activity and in turn aggravate the renal damages of AESS rabbits.The results suggest that the renal damages of AESS rabbits can immunopatholo-gically be attributed to the increased activity of macrophages.

Objective To evaluate the clinical utility of ROI(region of intest)volume measurement for interventional embolization of the oral and maxillofacial AVM before intervention.Methods four patients with oral and maxillofacial AVM were undertaken,ROI volume measurement of AVM by GE AW 4.1 software based on the MRI and MSCT imaging data,and the quantity of embolic agent was administered correspondingly to the measured volume of AVM lesion and then,the therapeutic effect was observed.Results In 3 cases of this series,the volume of AVM lesions obtained by ROI volume measurement based on the imaging data were 7.515 cm3,1.195 cm3 and 10.714 cm3,respectively;gaining all the therapeutic satisfactory effects.However,the volume of the other case was not achieved because of the bilateral diffuse AVM with previous ligation of feeding arteries.Conclusions Soft tissue AVM can be best demonstrated on MRI and MSCT therefore can display AVM of jaw clearly.Pre-embolization of oral and maxillofacial AVM,the quantity of embolic agent(especially the liquid agent) can be estimated correctly by the ROI volume measurement used GE AW 4.1 software.

Objective To build a Palm Shengjing Hospital App to provide outpatients with convenient,intelligent and efficient informatized medical service.Methods The App was established based on smart phone,and after real-name registration the patient could execute appointment registration,queuing,mobile payment,report reading,hospital navigation and etc with the App.Results The App facilitated the patient in registration,queuing,payment,obtaining examination results and etc,and thus gained high patient satisfaction.Conclusion The App decreases the waiting time,optimizes the outpatient flow and increases the patient satisfaction.

Objective To compare the effects of total intravenous anesthesia or Intravenous-in-halation combined anesthesia on intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP)and motor evoked potential (MEP)in spinal surgery.Methods Sixty patients scheduled for spinal surgery under general anesthesia were divided randomly and equally into 2 groups.The anesthesia was maintained with TCI propofol (plasma target concentration 3.0-3.5 μg/ml)and 1% sevoflurane+propofol in group T or group I respectively.BIS was monitored and maintained at 40-50.SSEP and MEP was re-corded before induction of anaesthesia (T0 ),5 minutes after tracheal intubation (T1 ),during skin in-cision (T2 )and at the time of decompressing spinal canal (T3 ).Results The latency of P38 and N45 prolonged,and the amplitudes of P38 and N45 was significantly depressed at T1-T3 compared to those at T0 (P <0.05).No statistically significant differences in cortical SSEP amplitudes or latency was observed in each time point.There was no case who could not detect the wave of MEP intraoperative-ly in this study.Conclusion The data from these cases indicates that 1% sevoflurane can be used in conjunction with SSEP and MEP monitoring for some adult patients undergoing spinal surgery.

Objective To follow up long-term clinical events and compare the long-term prognosis between partial and complete revascularization in octogenarians with coronary artery disease.Methods A total of 108 patients aged 80-88 years who underwent elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in cardiology department of Huashan Hospital were divided into complete revascularization group (n=47) and partial revascularization group (n=61).They were followed up for long-term major adverse cardiovascular events from Jan.1 2005 to Dec.31 2008.Results There were no statistically significant differences in age,percent of female,prevalence of hypertension,diabetes,hyperlipidemia,unstable angina,smoking and renal dysfunction between the groups(all P＞0.05).And the angiography results showed no difference at the number and location of coronary artery lesions,including prevalence of single-vessel disease [15 cases(24.6％)vs.8 cases (17.0％)],dual-vessel disease [18 cases(29.5％) vs.15 cases(31.9％)] and that of tri-vessel disease [28 cases(45.9 ％) vs.24 cases (51.1 ％)] between partial and complete revascularization groups (all P＞0.05).The follow-up time in two groups were (1235±508)d and (1216±560)d (t=0.24,P＞0.05).All-cause death [ 10 cases ( 16.4 ％) vs.8 cases ( 17.0％)],cardiovascular death [8 cases (13.1％) vs.7 cases(14.9％)],hospitalization with angina [12 cases (19.7％) vs.9 cases (19.1 ％)],with hypertension [7 cases( 11.5 ％)vs.5 cases (10.6 ％)],with cardiac arrhythmia [5cases(8.2％) vs.4 cases(8.5％)],with chronic heart failure [4 cases(6.6％)vs.3 cases(6.4％)],and with all-cause cardiovascular disease [33 cases (54.1％) vs.25 cases(53.2％)] had no significant differences between partial and complete revascularization groups (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Long-term prognosis of partial and complete revascularization is similar in octogenarians with coronary artery disease.
