Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(3):165-168
The microRNA let-7 family, functioning as a tumor suppressor, has emerged as a regulator of stem cell differentiation and tumor repression. The RNA-binding protein lin28 is a stem cell pluripotency factor, which contributes to the maintenance of stem cell characteristics and promoting cell malignant transformation.lin28 can block the maturity of let-7 by combining with the precursors of let-7 family miRNAs,which is itself able to repress lin28 by binding to the 3'-UTR of lin28 transcripts, thus forming a feedback loop. The double-negative feedback loop comprising lin28 and let-7 is involved in several biological processes such as differentiation of stem cell, tumorigenesis, invasion and metastasis, drug resistance and relapse, which couldbe a potential target for cancer therapy.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(12):760-763
Exosomes are membrane vesicles released into the extracellular environment upon exocytic fusion of multivesicular bodies with the cell surface. As a result of initial studies showing that exosomes display signal and immune factors,a particular interest has emerged in their use as a cellular vehicles for stimulation of immune responses in vivo.In recent years,on the base of the knowledge of the biological properties and functions, exosomes have been rebuilt and bound to different kinds of immunological stimulators as a result to enhanced antitumor funotions. In this paper, the related methods, immunological stimulators and the properties of man-made exosomes are mainly reviewed.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(6):1272-1275
The aim of this study was to obtain the alginate gels which could have proper compressive strength and excellent permeability for cell proliferation and could have more promising potentials in the application of tissue engineering. Through the reaction of the carboxyl of the alginate and the amino of methacrylic acid, methylacrylic was generated into alginate long chain which could be enhanced by the polymerization of double bond under thermal reaction condition. And then alginate gel beads were prepared using the mixture of calcium chloride and barium chloride solution as cationic crosslinker, and the compressive modulus and permeability of the prepared alginate gel beads were investigated. When the ratio of barium ions to calcium ions was 5:5, the compression modulus was 189.7 kPa, and it showed the best permeability for trypsin with molecular weight of 24 kDa and entrapment effect for bovine serum albumin with molecular weight of 67 kDa. Compared to compositions of other ratios, the alginate gel beads made in 5:5 mixture indicated excellent compressive modulus and permeability. These results indicated that the alginate hydrogel beads with the ratio of barium ions to calcium ions being 5:5 have a potential application in tissue engineering as a support material and encapsulating materials in cell culture.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To study the effect of methyl mercury on the development of rat offspring. Methods The male Wistar rats were divided into four groups randomly, each group was administrated methyl mercury by gavage every two days for two months, then, the rats were mated with healthy female rats. The development, growth and behaviors of offspring were investigated. Results Compared with the control, the body weights of offspring in groups of 1.170 mg/kg and 0.580 mg/kg were less and the development was tardy. The indexes that can reflect the level of development showed that the behaviors of offspring in experimental groups were damaged. Conclusion The male rats exposed to methyl mercury may produce an adverse effect on the development, growth and behaviors of their offspring.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of combined use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases. Methods By searching in the major databases of CNKI,ISI Web of Knowledge,VIP Information and Pubmed,we collected data of randomized controlled trials pertaining to combined use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases. Results Twenty-five randomized controlled trials involving totally 3081 patients were collected according to the inclusion criteria, and meta-analysis of the data indicated that combined use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine can be of great value in the management of chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases in comparison with exclusive use of Western medicine [combined odds ratio(OR)was 3.20 with 95% confidence interval(CI)(2.74,3.73),Z=14.85,P<0.01].Conclusion The clinical evidence derived from the analysis suggests that the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases can be effective with good security.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of serum thyroglobulin autoantibody(TGAb) in thyroglobulin(TG)-negative and TGAb-positive patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC)after thyroid ablation and ascertain the optimal operating point(OOP)of TGAb.Methods A total of 169 patients with histologically confirmed DTC and thyroid remnant ablation showed TG-negative and TGAb-positive results which were assessed by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay(ECLIA).The cases were divided into group A(59 cases)and group B(110 cases)with or without evidence of recurrence or metastasis, respectively. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and positive likelihood ratio of different threshold values were analysed according to their serum TGAb level. Results Serum TGAb level(1368?1343)IU/ml in group A was significantly higher than that(154?539)IU/ml in group B(P1000 IU/ml was 1.12 times that of 204 IU/ml≤TGAb≤1000 IU/ml,4.03 times that of 100 IU/ml≤TGAb

Objectives:To observe the efficacy of enteral nutrition with short peptide elemental diet(Pepti 2000) in patients with gastrointestinal fistulas and evaluate the sensitivity of nutrition associated index in nutrition monitoring. Methods:Ten cases with gastrointestinal fistulas were administered total enteral nutrition(TEN).They received 146 kJ/(kg?d) of non protein calorie(NPC) and 0.25 g/(kg?d) of nitrogen per day. Body weight, serum albumin, transferrin(TFN), prealbumin(PA),fibronectin(FN),triglyceride and cholesterol were monitored on before and 7th and 28th after TEN. Results:Seven days after TEN,serum PA and FN levels rised significantly( P

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1999;0(12):-
Objective:To study the inhibitory role of BsAb(anti-human bladder cancer/anti-VEGF) on human bladder cancer growth. Methods:BsAb was used to treat animal models of BIU-87 cell lines. The tumor inhibition rate was calculated and the tumor microvessel density was detected by immunohistochemical techniques. Results:BsAb could significantly inhibit growth of tumor. And the tumor microvessel density was lower than that of the control group. Conclusion:BsAb could inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting angiogenesis. BsAb may become a new method for human bladder cancer treatment.
