Objective:To study the significance of QT dispersion(QTd) changes in electrocardiogram(ECG) after coronary artery bypass graft. Methods:Forty eight patients scheduled for elective coronary artery bypass graft were studied. Objective To examine whether electroacupuncture at the Wangu acupoint (GB 12 ) , whose position is similar to the cerebellar fastigial nucleus ,can reduce inflammatory cytokines in the hippocampus of rats with vascular dementia (VD) to provide theoretical evidence for treating VD with electroacupuncture .Methods Healthy Sprague‐Dawley rats ( n=54 ,300 -450 g) were randomly divided into three groups :sham surgery group ,VD group ,and electroacupuncture group .The ethologic scores of VD rats were evaluated and the mRNA expressions of inflammatory cytokines (TNF‐α,IL‐6 and IL‐1β) in the hippocampus were assessed and the hippocampal tissues were observed by hematoxylin‐eosin (HE) staining .Results Compared with VD group ,in electroacupuncture group the rats' learning ability improved significantly and the mRNA expressions of TNF‐α, IL‐6 and IL‐1β decreased . Simultaneously ,the damage extent of nerve cells in the hippocampal tissues decreased , and their morphology recovered to nearly normal .Conclusion Electroacupuncture at the Wangu acupoint can decrease the level of inflammatory cytokines in the hippocampus and reduce the damage extent of nerve cells in the hippocampus ,thus providing a new neuroprotective method for VD .

Objective To invstigate the effect of high dose X-ray irradiation on the expression of multidrug resistance-1 (MDR1), Bcl-2, MMP7 genes. Methods A nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line,CNE1, were irradiated with a total dose of 50 Gy. The resistance to the cisplatin of CNE1 cells and the irradiated CNE1 (CNE1 R) cells was detected by MTT. mRNAs expression of MDR1 , Bcl-2 and MMP7 was measured by quantitative RT-PCR. Results The expression of MDR1 increased in CNE1 R cells. The semiquantitative A value of MDR1 mRNA was 0.47 ±0.04, and the value of CNE1R cells (1st, 7th, 21st,28th, 35th, 42nd and 49th days after irradiation) were 0.67 ± 0. 06 (t = -5.44, P = 0. 003) ,0.70 ± 0. 01(t=-5.90,P=0. 002),0.73±0. 01(t= -6. 45,P=0. 001) ,0. 67 ± 0. 03 (t= -3.97,P=0.011),0.65 ±0.01(t = -4.43,P=0. 007),0. 62±0. 05(t= -2. 64,P=0.046) and 0.62 ±0.02(t = -3.34,P=0.021), respectively. Conclusions The MDR1 expression was increased after a total dose of50 Gy irradiation,which may be related to the synchronous change of Bcl-2 and MMP7 genes.

To find a way to improve the effects of clinical health education,the clinical health education nurses collocating qualifications to hold their posts, job duties, examinations of training, and practical efficacies were recommended. Objective:To summarize the major risk factors of infection in the process of cleaning and disinfection of endoscopy center in our hospital,and formulate the corresponding prevention measures to reduce the incidence of endoscopic infection so as to ensure medical safety of patients.Methods:The specialist check the cleaning disinfection process,statistics of each link in the risk factors of infection.600 endoscopes were taken at random after disinfection,endoscopic inner cavity and the outer surface samples are collected,the cleaning and disinfection of the test results for evaluating quality indicators.Results:Testing 600 samples of qualified 584,and the percent of pass is 97.3％,gastroscopy,colonoscopy,duodenum mirror,bronchoscope,endoscopic ultrasonography qualified rate was 98.6％,96.8％,95.6％,96.0％,97.2％,respectively.28 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected in 16 cases of unqualified samples,including 13 strains of helicobacter pylori,7 strains of escherichia coli,4 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa,2 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa,1 strains of staphylococcus aureus,1 strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae;16 cases to detect unqualified reason analysis,scrub incomplete accounted for 37.5％,Not according to the instructions required to use multi-enzyme and disinfectant accounted for 18.75％,special infected patients did not do special treatment of endoscopy accounted for 12.5％,endoscopic insufficient drying and the staffhand hygiene is not up to standard accounted for 12.5％,respectively.Conclusion:Endoscopic cleaning and disinfection aspects of infection caused by many factors,infection control education should be strengthened for all personal in the endoscopy center,regular professional training of cleaning and sanitation personal,cleaning and disinfection process should be standardized management,establish traceability registration system,control the quality of the endoscope cleaning and disinfection from each link.It is the main measure to prevent digestive endoscopy center in infection.

Background Stickler syndrome is a genetic connective tissue disorder that affects the ocular,skeletal,orofacial and auditory systems.To determine the gene mutation loci can offer a basis for genetic diagnosis and management of Stickler syndrome.Objective The aim of this study was to research the clinical characteristics of a pedigree with Stickler syndrome and identify the disease-causing gene mutation.Methods This study was approved by Ethic Committee of Peking Union Medical College Hospital.The clinical study and pedigree analysis were performed in one family with Stickler syndrome type Ⅰ (STL Ⅰ).Nine family members were examined with informed consent.The entire coding regions of COL2A1 gene with flanking intronic regions were amplified by PCR and directly sequenced.The detected sequence change was confirmed to be mutationloci by examining whether they existed in normal control individuals.Mutant proteins were predicted with online software.Results There were 4 generations and 11 members in this family,and 2 members died,including 1 patient.Three patients were found in 9living families.Inheritance of this family complicd with an autosomal dominant inheritance mode.All affected individuals showed the consistent phenotypes with STL Ⅰ,including high myopia,membranous vitreous anomaly and surface central flat,short nose,palatoschisis,etc.Mutation screening of COL2A1 gene revealed that the first base of intron 12 was deleted(IVS12+1G del).Nucleotide sequence analysis showed that this mutation led to the functional abnormal of this gene by forming termination cordon in advance.This mutation occurred in all affected individuals,however,no mutation was observed in any unaffected member or 100 normal unrelated individuals.Conclusions This study identifies a novel splice-site mutation(IVS12+ 1G del)in COL2A1 gene in a Chinese STL Ⅰ pedigree.This is the first report on a mutation in a Chinese STL Ⅰ family.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of heat-clearing, dampness-removing, and Qi-blood-tonifying Chinese herbal medicine compound for the treatment of recurrent genital herpes(RGH), and to investigate the expression levels of Th17 cells and Treg cells in peripheral blood of patients with RGH as well as their role in the pathogenesis of RGH. Methods Sixty RGH patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with Chinese medicine decoction, and the control group was treated with Aciclovir tablets orally. The treatment course covered 6 months. The percentages of Th17 cells and Treg cells in the peripheral blood of the RGH patients were detected with flow cytometry. Results (1) After treatment for 3, 6 months, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 53.33%, 80.00%, and that of the control group was 23.33%, 46.67% respectively. There were significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).(2) After treatment, the percentage of Th17 cells and the ratio ofTh17/Treg cells were decreased while the percentage of Treg cells was increased in the two groups, and the differences before and after treatment were significant in the experimental group(P<0.05) while were insignificant in the control group (P > 0.05). The inter-group comparison showed the decrease of Th17 cell percentage and Th17/Treg cell ratio as well as the increase of Treg cell percentage in the experimental group was superior to that in the control group, the differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The curative effect of Chinese herbal compound for RGH is better than that of the control group. Chinese herbal medicine compound can decrease the level of Th17 cells, increase the level of Treg cells, thus to decrease the ratio of Th17/Treg cells, indicating that heat-clearing, dampness-removing, and Qi-blood-tonifying Chinese herbal medicine compound can correct the imbalance of Th17/Treg cells, and then plays a role in anti-inflammation and immune regulation.

AIM:To study the pharmacological action of Zhikang Capsule (Herba et Radix, Paederiae scandentis, etc.) METHODS: To establish the model of anus injury in the rectal position on rabbit, anti-inflammation and analgesia effect in rats and mice were observed by carrageen and hot-plate method, and inflammatory mediator PGE_2 of rat paw edema was analysed. RESULTS: Zhikang Capsule had the obvious effect to help heal and recover the anus injury in the rectal position and it could inhibit rats’ thorax leukocytoplania and rat paw edema of Garrageenan-induced and cotton pellet-induced granuloma formation in mice. The exudation of blood capillaryies and the contents of inflammatory medium PGE_2 were lowered and improved in the pain threshold. CONCLUSION: Zhikang Capsule has the obvious effect on the healing and recovery of the anus injury in the rectal position, its anti-inflammiting effect is related to the decrease in the exudation of blood capillaries and the contents of inflammatory medium PGE_2.
