1.Situation of ocular injuries in Hue Central Hospital
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):41-45
A study on 94 patients with the ocular injuries during 2000-2001 in Hue hospital has shown that the disease occurred in the man (women = 3,27/1). Injuries in the living activities was 52,2% followed by social injuries (26,8%), the results of treatment found that negative vision (17,39%), visionability of 3/10 (20,65%), 4/10-7/10 (22,83%) and 8/10 and more than (18,48%).

2.Surgical treatment of the acquired lagophthalmos
Journal of Medical Research 1999;9(1):19-21
Lagophthalmos is a common observed complication of some lesions in the upper eyelid. The technique "allongement of elevator muscle" performed in 12 patients with lagophthalmos. This is simple technique that allows a effective reconstruction of the retraction of the upper eyelid and seems particularly useful in context of medium retraction. Very satisfactory esthetic and functional results obtained in almost patients.

3.Comparative study on astigmatic measured methods in children
Journal of Medical Research 2000;11(1):50-56
Study on 450 children with 900 astigmatic eyes by 3 methods (Autorefraction, Retinoscopy and Keratometry). The results are: astigmatism is a common refractive error which must be diagnosed accurately in power ans axis; there is close correlation between corneal and astigmatic eye; keratometry is a necessary method to assist objective refractive methods, on the other hand it is necessary to combine objective refractive methods with subjective methods in order define accurately astigmatism, especially in children

4.Survey on blindness and some eye diseases in Chi Linh distric, Hai Duong province in 2004
Journal of Medical Research 2005;39(6):66-71
With the support of the World Vision, in June 2004, the district Chi Linh Health Centre (Hai Duong province) co-operated with Institute of Ophthalmology to survey on blindness and some eye diseases in 3,370 people. Objectives: identify the situation of blindness and some eye diseases in Chi Linh in the year 2004; identify the trachoma prevalence after 4 years implementing the project of trachoma control in Chi Linh. Methods: cross sectional study; Target population: all people. Results of survey has shown the prevalences of blindness and some eye diseases are so high compared with the figures of country survey, the leading causes of blindness are cataract, glaucoma, corneal opacity and pterigium. Conclusion: Thank to project of trachoma control supported by WV conducted in Chi Linh from 1999, the prevalence of active trachoma now has dropped to level under the criteria of WHO on active trachoma elimination. However, the rate of trichiasis is very far from criteria of WHO. Results of survey has shown also the serious situation of blindness. That is the big challenge for health workers and ophthalmologists in Hai Duong province and Chi Linh district in order to reduce the blindness prevalence in the next years.

5.Study on the surgical treatment of functional strabismus in adult
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):50-52
The surgical treatment of functional strabismus in adult is a surgery of efficacy in esthtic aspect and in functional aspect. it is a flexible dynamic operation. In case of < 30 strabismus, operation can be conducted on an eye and in case of > 300 strabismus, operation can be conducted on 2 eyes

6.The application of OCT for diagnosis of central serous chorioretinopathy
Journal Ho Chi Minh Medical 2005;9(2):118-121
In the study, 25 consecutive eyes of 25 patients (21 men, 4 women; mean age: 45 ± 8.5 years; range 30 to 58 years) with central serous chorioretinopathy were examined with optical coherence tomography (OCT) during acute phase and after the resolution of the retinal detachment. Cross-sectional retinal images through the center of the fovea were obtained from all eyes by OCT. The retinal thickness at the fovea center was measured. All of patients were conducted fluorescent angiographies. In the acute phase, neurosensory retina was thickened within the area of serous retinal detachment in all 25 eyes. The retinal thickness at the center of the fovea during the acute phase (range, 162 to 273µm; mean ± SD, 192 ±18 µm) was significantly thickened in comparison with that after resolution (range, 98 to 149 µm; mean± SD, 117±12.7µm). The retinal pigment epithelium was focally detached in five eyes

The Medical Journal of Malaysia 2017;72(1):73-74
Dengue infection is epidemic but ocular complications of
dengue are less reported. We report a case of dengueinfected
patient with disturbing ocular symptoms. He was
admitted for severe dengue. Subsequently, he presented
with symptoms of bilateral central scotoma with
metamorphosia. Fundus examination revealed cotton wool
spots and flame-shaped haemorrhages at the macula, with
dull foveal light reflex. He was diagnosed with bilateral
dengue maculopathy. The patient was managed
conservatively with surveillance. One week later, his eye
symptoms improved and were resolved six months later.
Early recognition and close monitoring remains the key to
successful management and interventions are rarely
needed.

8.Therapeutic landscape for inherited ocular diseases: Current and emerging therapies.
Hwei Wuen CHAN ; Jaslyn OH ; Bart LEROY
Singapore medical journal 2023;64(1):17-26
Inherited ocular diseases comprise a heterogeneous group of rare and complex diseases, including inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) and inherited optic neuropathies. Recent success in adeno-associated virus-based gene therapy, voretigene neparvovec (Luxturna®) for RPE65-related IRDs, has heralded rapid evolution in gene therapy platform technologies and strategies, from gene augmentation to RNA editing, as well as gene agnostic approaches such as optogenetics. This review discusses the fundamentals underlying the mode of inheritance, natural history studies and clinical trial outcomes, as well as current and emerging therapies covering gene therapy strategies, cell-based therapies and bionic vision.

9.The Disposable Tips for The Goldmann Applanation Tonometer.
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1977;18(3):235-236
A sterile disposable tip for the Goldmann applanation tonometer was designed with the material of methylmetacrylate. With this tip, applanation tonometry showed in relatively good agreement to the data measured by the tonometry without the use of tips. With the use of this disposable tips, applanation tonometry can be measurable in cases of active infectious eye diseases such as epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, and also can definitely eliminate any intra-hospital eye infection through the applanation tonometry.

10.Study on the morbidity of eye disease of workers in Nghe Tinh port: offering some preventive treatment solutions
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(12):40-42
Object: workers of Cua Lo, Ben Thuy port, mechanics enterprise, work enterprise and port’s office. Method: intersect description. Result: About working environment, there are 18,4% samples not get hygiene standard, 53,2% dust samples over hygiene standard ( 2 to 12 times). 71,0% worker are working in having dust environtment. 31,2% use glass and 22% use eye drug when working. Eye disease status: 90,0% have symptom in eye, 69,6% catch eye disease. Preventive treatment has signigicant result
