Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1995;36(12):2129-2137
The most common complication of cataract surgery, posterior capsular opacification is known to arise from the lentivular epithelial proliferation. The simple mechanical elimination of the lenticular epithelial cells by irrigation and asiration is most widely used now. Recently, the defenite size of continous curvilinear capsulorhexis(C.C.C.) and the effect of partial mechanical removal of lens epi thelial cells is under the discussion. We used 15 Neuzealand white rabbits(30 eyes) to examine the appropriate capsulotomy size and the effect of simple irrigation and aspiration on the posterior capsular opacification for 3 months after operation. The results from by using the slit lamp and the ophthalmoscope examination showed that the posterior capsular opacificaiton grade score was lower in the small(3~4mm) capsulotomy with irrigation and aspiration group(1.7) than in the small capsulotomy(3~4mm) group without irrigation and aspiration group(2.3) or the large capsulotomy (6~7mm) group without irrigation and aspiration(2.4). The optical power meter and posterior eye evaluation technique also presented the same results of posterior capsular opacification grade as those of slit lamp and ophthalmoscope examination which was done on the eneuc1eated eyes at postoperative 3 months.

4.Paratesticular Papillary Serous Tumor of Low Malignant Potential: A Case Report.

Korean Journal of Pathology 2004;38(6):427-429
Paratesticular papillary serous tumors have been rarely reported, and they often resemble ovarian serous tumors of borderline malignancy. We experienced a case of papillary serous tumor in the left paratestis of a 39-year-old man. This is the second case reported in the Korean literature. The tumor, which was found incidentally during an operation for a hydrocele, was composed of papillary structures lined by cuboidal to columnar epithelial cells that displayed low cytologic atypia and frequent psammoma bodies.

IeJSME 2016 10(3): 34-36
Introduction
Marjolin’s ulcer is a malignant cutaneous ulcer
that undergoes transformation from a previously
traumatized or chronically inflammed skin.
1
Causes
leading to ulcerations can be burn injury, trauma,
chronic osteomyelitis and varicose ulcers.
2
It is named
after a French surgeon, Jean Nicolas Marjolin, who
first described the condition in patients who developed
malignant ulcers from burn scars.
3
We report a case of
a chronic non-healing foot ulcer that has become a
Marjolin’s ulcer after 12 years

7.The Role of the Epithelial Cell in Bronchial Asthma.
Yeungnam University Journal of Medicine 1999;16(1):15-24
Although traditionally viewed as a physical barrier between the host and a variety of inhaled irritants and pathogens, it has become clear that the epithelium has a much broader functional scope. Epithelial cells are metabolically active and can play an important role in the regulation of the allergic inflammatory response. This review preview provides a consideration of the role of the epithelial cell as both a "target" for exogenous and endogenous stimuli and as an "effector" cell that is capable of producing a variety of products that can influence the inflammatory response in the airways.

Annals of Dermatology 2000;12(4):289-291
Trichoblastoma is a rare benign neoplasm that arises in the follicular germinative cells. The terminology and histopathological definition of this tumor is both complex and confusing. Trichoblastoma occurs only on the hair bearing areas such as the scalp, face and pelvic area with varying degrees in size. We describe a case of trichoblastoma occurring as a nodule on the nose. The tumor was composed of numerous lobules of basaloid epithelial cell nests with distinct peripheral palisading of nucleoli that were clearly demarcated from the stroma.
