1.Endometriotic cyst arising from an ectopic ovary in the liver.
Philippine Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2009;33(1):23-31
A rare case of extrapelvic endometriosis occurring at the hepatic lobe. Only 17 cases of hepatic endometriosis have been discussed in literature. A 43 year old woman with extrapelvic endometriosis, in which initial diagnostic workup suggested hepatic lob cyst. An operation revealed the large cystic mass to be contiguous to the normal liver parenchyma. Histologic evidence obtained from exploratory laparotomy showed irregular proliferation of endometrial glands and stroma, as well as normal ovarian tissue, which led to the final diagnosis of endometriotic cyst in an ectopic ovary. Endometriosis should be considered as a differential diagnosis in female patients presenting with an abdominal cyst/mass.

Endometriosis is composed of internal endometriosis (adenomyosis) and external endometriosis. External endometriosis is a condition where tissues similar to the lining of the endometrium and is also found in the places outside the uterus. Endometriosis is one of the most frequent diseases seen in gynecological practice. It affects women in the reproductive ages. We report three of external endometriosis, which have difficulties in diagnosis. Three these cases show clinical signs similar to cancer disease, leading to errous diagnosis. The diagnosis can only be confirmed by histological examination. We analyze clinical features and histopathology of these cases with purpose is to provide clinicians and practicing pathologists the understanding of endometriosis.

Philippine Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2024;48(1):66-71
Detection of an adnexal mass during pregnancy has increased during the last decade due to liberal use of sonographic examination during the first trimester. While most are benign or physiologic, the probability of a malignant tumor should always be considered. Deciduosis, a phenomenon related to pregnancy, refers to the presence of decidua outside the uterine cavity, most commonly seen within the pelvis. It is a benign condition, which usually regresses during the postpartum period. However, during pregnancy, this ectopic decidua may enlarge and mimic malignancy.

10.Breathlessly bleeding: A case report of Catamenial Pneumothorax
Philippine Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2019;43(1):31-33
Catemenial pneumothorax is the monthly manifestation of air in the lungs that relates to menstruation. Main objective is to impart knowledge on the mechanism and management of catamenial pneumothorax in a patient with recurrent penumothorax. We describe a case of catamenial pneumothorax with description, images and histopathologic evidence of the diagnosis. Standard treatment plan should be made for cases of catamenial pneumothorax.
