We experienced a case of venous hemangioma occuring on the inner aspect of right forearm of 40-year-old woman. The skin lesion was slight tender, pea sized, dark brown surfaced, subcutaneous mass. The entire dermis was filled with numerous coiled thick walled vessels surrounded by fibrous stroma on the histopathologic examination. The wall, lined by a single layer of endothelial cells, lacked elastic fibers on the specimen of Verhoeff-Van Gieson and Massons trichrotne stains.

Objective To investigate a simple effective method of hair transplantation, and to explore tech-niques to increase the density and viability of the transplanted. Methods Under a low temperature environment,21 cases were treated with the knife needle technique. 13 cases were used microsugical technique. Results Transplanted hair in each case grew well,of all the 21 patients treated, 18 cases were followed up for a period of time from 5 to 18 months, the transplanted hair covered the bald and scar area well-proportionately with a appearance close to nature. Conclusion The above-mentioned technique is a simple, fast and effective method with less bleeding and injury, and may be used in primary hospital. Combined use of microsugical technique could help to increase the viability and den-airy of the transplanted hairs.

Objective To investigate the clinical spectrum of respiratory viruses in infants and young children with acute lower respiratory infection(ALRI) in Chongqing area from 2003-2007.And to assess the clinical diagnostic value of virus detection in nasopharyngeal secretions(NPS) and serum viral antibody detection for ALRI.Methods Cases of 2 529 specimens of NPS in hospitalized children with ALRI from Apr.2003 to Oct.2007 were taken for detecting 7 common respiratory virus antigens by immunofluorescence assay including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV),adenovirus(ADV),influenza A(IA),influenza B (IB),parainfluenza virus1-3 (PIV1,PIV2,PIV3).Fifty-five thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven samples were tested for ADV-IgM by ELISA.Among those,45 159 cases were further tested for RSV-IgM by ELISA.Results Respiratory virus pathogens were detected in 778 samples out of 2 529(30.76%) including RSV positive in 668 samples (85.86%),PIV3 positive in 75 samples (9.64%),IA positive in 22 samples (2.57%),ADV positive in 15 samples ( 1.93%),only 1 sample ( 0.13%) positive for both PIV1 and RSV. And the positive rate of RSV-IgM was 0.9%-15.2%,and the positive rate for ADV-IgM was about 0.6%-10.6%.RSV infection occured mainly in winter and spring. Conclusions Respiratory virus is the most common pathogen in children with ALRI during the survey period in Chongqing area, especially for RSV infection. The pattern of RSV circulation varied every year with seasonality. It is suggest that this year is peak one for RSV infection from the monthly positive results, especially in Feburary(50%) in 2007.But the infection rate of PIV3,IA,ADV and PIV1 are lower, particularly IB and PIV2 infection have not been seen for the last 5 years. It is fast and accurate to detect RSV antigen and suit to clinical diagnosis by using immunofluorescence assay than other antibody detection.

OBJECTIVEDiscusses the distributive characters of the Creatine Kinase MM (CKMM) gene A/G Polymorphism in XinjiangUyghur, One hundred and fourtheen athletes and 441 general population of Uyghur were involved in the study.
METHODSPolymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism was used.
RESULTS(1) The CKMM gene A/G frequency in Uyghur general population was(AA, AG and GG) 0.497, 0.392 and 0.111, the result test by Hardy-Weinberg (H-W) equilibrium and x² = 2.72, P = 0.1, df = 2, indicated that the control group had representative. (2) AA, AG and GG genotype frequency of power-oriented athlete respectively was 0.442,0.302 and 0.256, frequency of GG genotype and G allele was higher than the control group, there were significant differences compared to thecontrol( P < 0.05, df = 2); (3) A/G genotype frequency of Endurance-oriented athletere spectively was 0.571, 0.400 and 0.029, there were nosignificant differences compared to the controls ( P > 0. 05, df = 2). (4) A/G genotype frequency of Uyghur soccer athletes respectively was0.472, 0.361 and 0.167, G allele was higher than the Endurance-oriented athlete and lower than the power-oriented athletes. and no significant differences compared to the controls( P > 0.05, df = 2).
CONCLUSIONThe results indicate that the CKMM gene GG genotype and G alleleare represented in power-oriented athletes, but don't find A/G polymorphism correlation with endurance and the football sport performance.

Objective To evaluate the method of detecting antibodies to Bacillus anthracis by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)using crude antigen. Methods The anti-Bacillus anthracis antibody levels in sera of 42 healthy people and 42 patients were detected by indirect ELISA.Standard curve was plotted using the data from positive controls, based on which the relative content of each serum was calculated and compared with the result of rLF.Results The median of antibody's relative content in patient group and healthy people group are 1.19 and 0.24,the differences being statistically significant(uc=7.643,P<0.05).The result of crude antigen is in concordance with rLF(but not parallel absolutely). Conclusions Crude antigen can distinguish most of patients with healthy population effectively. The results suggested that crude antigen is applicable in anti-Bacillus anthracis antibody surveillance.

Carbon nanotubes/Au nanoparticles ( CNT/AuNP ) composite film was fabricated on glassy carbon electrode ( GCE) by first dropping CNTs on the electrode surface and then electrodeposition of AuNPs by multi-potential step. The antibody of microcystin-( leucine-arginine ) ( anti-MCLR ) was immobilized on the modified electrode surface through adsorption on AuNPs. Subsequently, bovine serum albumin ( BSA) was used to block the non-specific adsorption to obtain the immunosensor for MCLR assay. The immunosensor could effectively capture MCLR by the specific immunoreaction between the electrode surface-confined antibody and MCLR, followed by the attachment of the anti-MCLR HRP-labeled to form a sandwich-type system. The analysis of MCLR was performed based on the catalytic reaction of HRP toward the oxidation of hydroquinone ( QH2 ) by H2 O2 . Under the optimal experimental conditions, the peak current response increased linearly with the concentration of MCLR in the range of 0 . 50-12 μg/L with a detection limit of 0. 30 μg/L (S/N=3). The developed immunosensor was used to determine MCLR in real water samples, and the recoveries of standard addition experiments were in the range of 93 . 0%-108 . 5%, with the relative standard deviation of 3 . 8%-5 . 0%.

Objective To explore the methods and clinical value of transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) in detecting rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) with head scanning probe. Methods A total of 12 patients had the ultrasonic examination through the rectum with the head scanning probe.Preoperative ultrasonic findings were compared with the pathological results. Results Of the 12 patients, the patients were divided into three groups, including 3 cases with low-degree severity,6 cases with moderate-degree severity and 6 cases with high-degree severity. The lymph node metastasis was not found near intestines.Rectal GIST appeared as a hypoechoic mass with clear limit、regular form and expanded growth under TRUS.The CDFI showed abundant flow in the tumor and TRUS had an overall accuracy rate of 75.0%(9/12)in the diagnosis of rectal GIST.The accuracy of TRUS in the staging diagnosis of rectal GIST was 83.3%(10/12).Conclusion The TRUS with the head scanning probe is of great value for pre-operative diagnosis and staging of rectal GIST.Rectal water window and felicitous check-up technique can enhance the accuracy of TRUS.
