Journal of Gynecologic Oncology 2008;19(3):202-204
Epithelioid sarcoma of vulva is extremely rare. Only 20 cases have been reported in the literature so far. Early diagnosis is difficult because of its benign appearance as a painless subcutaneous nodule. Therefore treatment can be delayed, although epithelioid sarcoma requires prompt surgery. We report a case of epithelioid sarcoma that occurred in the left vulva with a brief review of literature.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is typically diagnosed at the tumoral stage. But it is clinically important to recognize that DFSP often begins as a non-protuberant plaque and occasionally persists as such. Recently the cases of so-called atrophic DFSPs have been reported, and none of these cases are different from classical DFSP in terms of histopathology and prognosis. Better knowledge of the initial appearance is important for making an early diagnosis and for easier surgical treatment. We report a case of non-protuberant DFSP presenting as a pigmented plaque.

6.An early pregnancy test
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;512(5):49-51
A rapid agglutination – inhibition test was realized with hCG-coated sheep erythrocytes and rabbit antibodies to hCG. Determined amount of hCG on the red blood cells and titrated concentration of antibodies allowed the test to be sensitive at 200 UI/l for confirmation of pregnancy at 2-3 weeks (0-5 days following the first missed period). 3.000 tests were implemented in Nha Trang Pasteur Institute and Hanoi Newborn & Mother Protection Hospital showed that confident rate was 99%. The test was then used for diagnosing the urines of women just before their abortion. The results indicated that more than 11% of these women, at less than 15 days following the first their abortion, were not pregnant and should avoid abortion.

Panniculitis is a rare cutaneous finding in dermatomyositis (DM), presenting as tender subcutaneous nodules. Because panniculitis may precede other symptoms of DM, and its complications, including pain, lipoatrophy and carcinosis, might be severe and irreversible, early diagnosis and treatment of panniculitis is important. We herein describe a case of dermatomyositis first presenting as panniculitis in a 45-year old man.
