1.Use of selected thermolysis effect of Copper Vapor Lasers to treat plane hemagioma and cutaneous pigmented stain
Journal of Practical Medicine 2001;399(7):2-6
The condition in which melanin level was higher than normal level in a certain skin area was called as skin pigmented lesion. Hemagioma is a vascular lesion of skin that found commonly in the newborns. 578nm-wave Copper Vapor Laser that produces extremely short pulse of 20nm/s is used to treat plane hemagioma. Copper Vapor Laser also produces 511nm waves that was absorbed strongly by melanin, so it is also used to treat pigmented lesions of skin. Pulsed laser produces significant higher effect than wave-continuous laser. The treatment process required 6-8 courses with the intervals of 2-4 months.

2.Laser application for plastic surgery
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):2-9
LASER is an abbreviation of English sentence: "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". The first Ruby laser was been constructed successfully in July 1960 by American physicist Theodore Maiman. Just after this event laser has been applied in medicine (1962) initially in ophthalmology and dermatology. Up to now many kinds of laser have been constructed with technological excellence to meet requirements of physiotherapy and surgery. In plastic surgery, the laser application is slowed respect to in the other surgical branches. In this paper the author try to describe the interaction mechanism of laser radiation on the living creatures as well as the popular laser types used in treatment. In Vietnam, high power lasers have been applied since 1992, mostly CO¬2 lasers. Some Nd-YAG and argon lasers are used in several hospitals and clinics. In Center for Bio-medical Physics CO¬¬2¬¬ and Nd: YAG lasers have been used in general and plastic surgery since 1992. 4182 cases were treated mainly for aesthetic purposes, particularly: epidermal and subdermal vascular lesions, dermal pigment lesions, dermal tumors. ¬

3.Carbon dioxide laser blepharoplasty
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;472(2):68-69
58 cases including 46 females aged from 27-61 and 12 males subjects aged from 40-78) underwent a fat tissue removal through conjunctive using CO2 laser. X-ray images were made before and 7-8 days after operation. 15 subjects was given 10mg diazepam orally before the operation. Results showed: no severe complication (such as optic nerve atrophy and blind, diplopia, infection, chronic blepharitis, pathological scar… In 7th day, the incision was completely closed. Transient complications such as bluish black in eye area occurred in 10 among 15 subjects underwent removal fat tissues of the lower lip in combining with plastic operation on the upper lip. Edema occurred in most of cases. There was uncomfortable feeling in the eyes lasting 2-3 first days after the operation. Intervention made most of patients satisfied.

4.Minimizing the pressure of intervertebral disk by laser puncture through skin-a medical high technique first applied successfully in Vietnam
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;439(1):71-74
From June 2002 to Sept 2002, subdivision of the Institude of physical medicobiology the technique of minimizing intervertebral pressure by laser through skin was carried out on 424 patients (339 patients with lumbodorsal intervertebral disk hernia and 85 with intercervical disk hernia) among them 223 male and 201 female patients aged 16-77. In the group of lumbodorsal intervertebral disk patients, 204 patients underwent an intervention in one disk, 116 in two and 19 in three disks. 63 patients underwent two interventions, 6 patients have had the history of open operation. In the group of hernia of intervetebral disk there were 28 patients underwent the intervention on 1 disk, 50 on 2 disks and 7 on 3 disks. 12 patients underwent two intervention, 1 patient has had a history of open operation. After the intervention by laser, there is a follow up of 1-41 months. In Vietnam it is demonstrated that laser puncture through skin is minimal invention with many advantages in treatment of hernia of spinal intervertebral disk.
