Methods 117 patients with CP were randomly divided into 4 groups: group A (32 patients) were treated with free-radical scavenger, group B (32 patients) with antibiotics, group C (32 patients) with ?-blocker and group D with placebo. Microscopic examination, bacterial culture,SOD and MDA examination were conducted just before and after the procedure. Results No cure was observed in each group.18 patients were improved in group A,15 in group B,21 in group C and 2 in group D. The efficacy rate was 47.3%,46.8%,65.6% and 13.3% respectively. Compared to the placebo group, the free-radical scavenger had a significant therapeutic efficacy and had no significant difference to the antibiotic group and ?-blocker group. Conclusions The free-radical scavenger may be a useful method for the treatment of chronic prostatitis.
3. Genetic diversity research on Anisodus tanguticus based on ISSR molecular markers
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(1):219-226
Objective In order to provide some information for the domestication and protection of wild Anisodus tanguticus, therefore to analyze the genetic polymorphism and the relationship of A. tanguticus from Gansu and Qinghai province in China. Methods The amplifying products from 127 DNA based on ISSR makers technique were used to analyze the genetic diversity of 11 populations of wild A. tanguticus. The clustering analysis of the unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic average (UPGMA) and making Mantel test on geographic distance were carried out on the basis of genetic distance abtained, then a dendrogram was constructed. Results Total 131 alleles were amplified by using 10 ISSR primers. The number of alleles in per primer range was 11-15 with an average of 13.1, and 858 polymorphic loci were got finally. The average percentage of polymorphic loci (PPB) was 59.54%. The Nei’s gene diversity (H) and Shannon’s information index (I) were 0.220 4 and 0.325 4 respectively. The genetic distances range was 0.073 3-0.306 2, and Mantel test P = 0.002. Conclusion The genetic polymorphism among 11 populations of A. tanguticus is relatively abundant and there is a directly relationship between genetic distance and geographical distribution among them. There is a high polymorphism among A. tanguticus populations between Gansu and Qinghai and the plentiful genetic diversity of species can provide a reference for the protection and sustainable utilizing of wild A. tanguticus resources.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(3):270-274
Background Increase of lens thickness at incipient cataract is a key factor of onset of primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG).Phacoemulsification (Phaco) or phacotrabeculectomy (Phacotrabe) have been documented to be effective for the patients of PACG associated with cataract. However, which surgery is more effective and safe is lack of evidence. Objective This study was to assess and compare the clinical effectiveness of Phaco versus Phacotrabe for PACG with cataract. Methods The relevant literature was searched electronically from the PubMed (1966 to June 2011),EMB Reviews (1966 to June 2011) and Cochrane Library (Issue 1,2011).The manually searching of relevant conference proceedings was used as the supplement. The articles of randomized controlled trial (RCT) about the clinical effectiveness of Phaco versus Phacotrabe for PACG with cataract were included. The methodology quality of included literature was graded. The analysis indexes included intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowing range, postoperative administration of glaucoma drugs, incidence of positive complication, postoperative best corrective visual acuity (BCVA) and perimetry damage. The RevMan4.2 software from Cochrane Collaboration was used for the Meta analyses. Results Three RCTs about phaco versus Phacotrabe for PACG with cataract were selected in this study with the 164 eyes of 164 cases.Meta analysis showed that the IOP-lowing range was larger in the Phacotrabe group compared to only Phaco group with the WMD of 1.17 and 95% CI of 0.06-2.27 (P =0.040),and the drug dosage of anti-glaucoma was less in the Phacotrabe group in comparison with the Phaco group with the WMD of 0.5 and 95% CI of 0.24-0.77 (P =0.000).However,the incidence of postoperative complication was higher in the Phacotrabe group than that of the Phaco group with the RR of 0.08 and 95% CI of 0.02-0.33 (P =0.000).No significant difference was found in the BCVA (WMD =0,95% CI:-0.13-0.13,P=1.00) andperimetry (WMD =1.01,95%CI:0.56-1.82,P=0.98).Conclusions Compared with Phaco,Phacotrab has a better IOP-lowing effectiveness and slightly worse safety.Phaco and Phacotrab have a fairly influencc in the postoperative BCVA and perimetry. As the sample sizes of the included trials are relatively small, more welldesigned large-scale RCTs are needed.

Objective To summarize the experiences of diagnosis and treatment of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP). Methods The clinical data of 16 patients with DFSP were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients with DFSP underwent extensive tumor resection (3~5cm margin from the tumors).Free full-thickness skin flap transplantations was performed on 6 cases , three cases received skin flap shifting operations, and 1 patient with abdominal wall deficiency was repaired by artificial mesh . Results All the 16 patients presented as painless cutaneous nodules which enlarged slowly, but the majority of the tumors grew quickly in recent shorter time. Ten cases were primary tumors, and six were recurrence. The time of recurrence after surgery ranged from 3 months to 10.5 years with 1~3 times recurrence. There was no operative complications. Eleven patients were followed-up for 1~11 years and all survived, only one patient developed tumor local recurrence seven years after surgery. Conclusions A slowly enlarged painless cutaneous or subcutaneous nodules quickly growing in recent time is the clinical characteristic feature of DFSP. Extensive tumor resection is the treatment of primary DFSP.

Objective: To explore the effect of single-nostril transsphenoidal approach on pituitary adenoma. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 46 cases of pituitary tumors treated with single-nostril transsphenoidal approach and the effects and complications of surgery.Dunng the surgery,a nasal speculum was inserted through right nostril slowly towards the anterior wall of sphenoid sinus.A nasal mucosa incision of about 1.5cm was made in the right nasal cavity at the level of the middle nasal turbinate. With a fracture of the bony septum,a space was developed between the bilateral nasal mucosa and bony septum to the sphenoid sinus. Then, the face of the sphenoid sinus was exposed. The remainder of the bony septum, the anterior sphenoid sinus wall, and the sphenoid mucosa were removed. The antenor sphenoidotomy should be less than 1.5cm wide. After confirming the tumor by dural puncture,a cross incision of dura was made and the tumor was removed. The saddle was usually Collapsed and visible after total tumor removal. When the tumor was resected, sevaral gelatin sponges were stuffed into the Surgical cavity to stop bleeding. Results: Thirty-four cases had total resection and 12 cases had subtotal resection. No deaths or disability occurred.Hormone levels in almost all patients were improved.Seventeen cases had a sign of diabetes insipidus.Electrolyte disturbance occuwed in 5 cases.NO postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea was observed. Conclusion: Single-nostril transsphenoidal approach has many advantages in treating pituitary adenomas such as simplified approach, brief technology and high security.

Positive selection and differential selective pressure analyses were carried out to study Haemagglutinin (HA) genes of H9N2 influenza viruses from different hosts in this paper. Results showed that, although most positions in HAs were under neutral or purifying evolution, a few positions located in the antigenic regions and receptor binding sites were subject to positive selection and some of them were even positively selected at the population level. In addition, there were always some positions differentially selected for viruses from different hosts. Both selection pressure working on HA codons and positions differentially selected might account for the extension of the host range and adaptations to different hosts of H9N2 influenza viruses.

Human enterovirus 71 viruses have been long circulating throughout the world. In this study, we performed a positive selection analysis of the VP1 genes of capsid proteins from Enterovirus 71 viruses. Our results showed that although most sites were under negative or neutral evolution, four positions of the VP1 genes were under positive selection pressure. This might account for the spread and frequent outbreaks of the viruses and the enhanced neurovirulence. In particular, position 98 might be involved in neutralizing antibodies, modulating the virus-receptor interaction and enhancing the virulence of the viruses. Moreover, both positions 145 and 241 might correlate to determine the receptor specificity. However, these positions did not display much difference in amino acid polymorphism. In addition, no position in the VP1 genes of viruses isolated from China was under positive selection.
