1.Some opinions of the pathological anatomy of the benign prostatic hypertrophic adenoma in the Central Military Hospital 108
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):10-15
315 patients with average ages of 69.75 +/- 6.32 operated as method of Hryntschk in the department of urology of this hospital have shown that the major type of the benign prostatic hypertrophic adenoma was adenofibroma. The fibrous component accounted for high rate, therefore the adenoma usually was small and solid and able to cause the obstruction. The rate of adenoma of median of prostate was 21.5%. This is major cause of the urinary difficulty. The weight of the benign prostatic hypertrofic adenoma was direct proportional with the increased age but was not close correlated with the risk of the acute urinary difficulty.

2.Using symptom scale of IPSS, quality of life (QoL) and urine flow rate measurement in assessment the result of operation for benign hypertrophic prostate.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):32-36
This study involved 307 patients with benign hypertrophic prostate (BHP) who were underwent tumor removing surgically using Hryntschak’s method from January 1995 to June 1999 at the Military Central Hospital 108. Age of participants ranged from 50 to 89 years. The results showed that the older the patient was, the more severe the BHP-related urinary problems are and the poorer the post-operative recovery is. Post-operative monitoring and evaluation of result of operation for BHP need to be performed at lest 3 months post-operation, as manifestations of urinary disorders were stable. At 3-month postoperation, 98/144 patients (68.1%) have good outcomes, 45/144 (31.2%) have moderate and 1/144 (0.7%) have poor outcomes.

4.Analysis and perform human sperm vitality staining techniques
Journal of Medical Research 2005;39(6):25-30
Infertility is a common health problem. For investigating the reason of infertility in the man, semen analysis plays very important role. Vitality stain is one of semen analysis. It is rare use for diagnosing and evaluating the result of infertility treatment. Our objectives: (1) To submit a fully worked-out of vitality staining technique. (2) To compare the effects of eosin and trypan blue staining for measuring live and death sperms. Methods: 52 semen samples were analyzed, compared the rate of death sperm base on the time after staining by eosin and trypan blue. Results: The average time for staining sperms by eosin: 16 seconds, by trypan blue: 19.67 seconds. The best process are: Mix 1 volume of eosin and 4-5 volume of semen, 1 volume of trypan blue and 2 volume of semen. Conclusions: (1) The more staining time, the more number of death sperm. (2) In vitality staining technique: The volume of semen should must be more than volume of stain chemical.

5.Some problems on irrigating fluids in transurethral resection of prostate
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;0(11):15-20
It is really important to select irrigating fluids in transurethral resection of prostate. Some factors use to evaluate irrigating fluids, disolve of plasma, the absorption of irrigating fluids on blood circulation, half waist duration in plasma and metabolism factors arise, toxic or nontoxic for body. Some irrigating fluids used in transurethral resection: mannitol, sorbitol, glycin. These fluids are not consider as unfully isotonic

6.Tomato and its preparation in prostate cancer
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):18-20
Lycopen - a carotenoid extracted from tomato had antioxidant effect stronger than other carotenoids, lowered the risk of cancer, especially prostate cancer/arteriosclerosis and delayed the development of prostate cancer. When heating tomato into viscous mixture, biological efficacy of lycopen is stronger than raw tomato or tomato juice. This efficacy is stronger when using lycopen combined with some carotenoids such as vitamin E and beta-carotene

7.Clinical characteristics and surgical treatment in 131 patients with thyroid carcinoma
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):29-33
This study was carried out on 131 patients (101 women and 30 men) with surgery for thyroid cancer at University Hospital No 103 from 1995 though March 2002. 49 patients (37.4%) were operated for the thyroid pathology before hospital admission.
Based on clinical examination and laboratory measurements, the authors found that the rate of thyroid cancer was 1-2% of all cancers. The rate of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) was 62.6%, follicular (FTC): 19.8% medullary (MTC): 5.3%, squamous (STC): 2.3%, and nondifferentiated (NDTC) tumors: 9.9%. All surgical procedures were performed according to principal rules of oncologic surgery. 12 sternotomy and 5 tracheotomy during operation were performed. Accidental injuries of the esophagus (2 cases) and the trachea (3 cases) occur during the resection of tumor. After the surgical resection, the chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy have been used in various combinations, one patient died and all survivors have been followed up

8.Relation between seminal features and environmental factors in infertile couples
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):23-26
Infertility is defined as lack of conception after at list 12 months of unprotected intercourse. For investigating and diagnosing infertile couples, semen analysis is necessary. Find out the reason of infertility is an important thing we need to do. In order to investigate harmful effects of some environmental factors, we have carried out this study. 466 semen samples in 420 male partners were analyzed basing on their jobs, we found that high ratio of azoospermia had been found in male partners who used to contact with high temperature. Low ratio of living spermatozoid had been found in male partners who used to contact with chemical substances and in the functionaries

9.Situation of lipemia disorder in patients with reduced glucose toleration
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):36-38
Study on 50 patients (male: 12, female: 38), between the ages of 72 and 40, with hypertension (62% of patients), obesity (60%) in which abdominal obesity (78%) was carried out in Bach Mai Hospital during July 2000- March 2001. The results found that the lipemia disorder frequently occurred in patients with reduced glucose toleration according to the classification of Fredrichson (type IV). 69% patients with the reduced glucose toleration had a lipemia disorder accompanying with hypertension. The risk of hypertension among these patients was higher 6.7 times than this among patients without the lipemia disorder. 93% patients with the reduced glucose toleration and obesity had a lipemia disorder. This rate in the patients with abnormal obesity was 97%; 100% of patients with the reduced glucose toleration had signs of coronary insufficiency

10.Histology of chronic gastritis
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;256(2):118-122
The authors report a histological study of chronic gastritis. Results are as follows: Chronic gastritis showed high rate of chronic atrophic gastritis (76.1%), among them mild atrophic gastritis is 60%, moderate and severe atrophic gastritis is 15% and 1.1%, respectively. The majority of gastritis is in active chronic gastritis patterns (75%); H. pylori infection rate is 52.1%. Intestinal metaplasia was detected in 31.8%. The rate of complete intestinal metaplasia is higher than that of incomplete intestinal metaplasia (63.3% vs. 36.3%). Dysplasia was revealed in 7.9% (low grade: 77.3%; high grade: 22.7%. There is a significant correlation between atrophic levels and the rate of metaplasia and dysplasia.
