Objective To understand the present condition of preclinical dental undergraduate in-terns' AIDS-related knowledge. Methods The questionnaire was designed referring to domestic and foreign relevant questionnaires. The cluster sampling method was used to conduct the questionnaire survey among the undergraduates who started their clinical internship in July 2016 in three domestic colleges, using SPSS 14.0 statistical software to analyze it. Results In this survey, 144 questionnaires were distributed, and 144 ones were filled out and sent back. The survey results suggested that 97.22% (140) of interns held a posi-tive attitude towards aiding HIV-infected patients despite that 96.53% (139) of interns knew that dental medical staff was considered to be highly susceptible with HIV. In spite of the fact that most interns knew AIDS-related knowledge and protection measures, 40.28% (58) of interns were not clear about incubation period of AIDS, and the average awareness of children's AIDS and methods to disinfect HIV-infected dental instruments was less than half in the interns. Meanwhile it was found that 86.81% (125) of interns didn't perform well in terms of complying with the principles of confidentiality in AIDS prevention and treatment. Conclusion Dental clinical interns' attitudes towards AIDS-infected patients should be praised. Further-more, they should accept education about infection control to have a deeper understanding about AIDS-related clinical manifestations and legal knowledge in order to reduce the probability of nosocomial infec-tion of AIDS.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the treatment and mechanisim of acetabulum fracture combined with ipsilateral lower extremity fracture.
METHODSFourteen cases(9 males and 5 females) of acetabulum fracture were involved in the study with the mean age of 35 years (range, from 18 to 65 years). According to Letournel classification, 11 cases were the fracture of posterior wall and column, 3 cases were only the fracture of posterior column. All of them were treated with titanium plate internal fixation. Of three cases with ipsilateral femoral intertrochanteric fracture, one was treated with external fixiation device, other two were treated with DHS fixation; Three cases with ipsilateral femoral neck fracture were treated with compressive cannulated screw fixation; Among six cases with ipsilateral femoral shaft fracture, one was fixed with steel plate, the rest underwent intramedullary nailing fixation; Two cases with ipsilateral tibial plateau fracture were treated with anatomic plate internal fixation.
RESULTSAll patients except the died old patient were followed up from 18 months to 5 years, with mean of 30 months. According to standard of American institute of orthopaedics, 9 cases obtained excellent results, 3 good and 2 poor and the excellent and good rate was 92.3%.
CONCLUSIONMost cases of acetabulum fracture combined with ipsilateral lower extremity fracture are due to great violence, their mechanisms are complex, and easily lead to missed diagnosis, therefore the early correct diagnosis, and reasonable internal fixation should be considered.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical features and outcomes of neuroblastoma (NB) children aged above 5 years, and to provide a theoretical basis for improving prognosis.
METHODSA retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 54 previously untreated NB children, and their clinical features and outcome were analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis.
RESULTSAmong the 54 children, there were 36 boys and 18 girls, and all of them had stage 3 or 4 NB. Of all the children, 41 (41/54, 76%) had retroperitoneal space-occupying lesions, 10 (10/54, 18%) had mediastinal space-occupying lesions, 2 (2/54, 4%) had intraspinal space-occupying lesions, and 1 (1/54, 2%) had pelvic space-occupying lesions. At the end of the follow-up, 30 children (30/54, 56%) survived, among whom 23 (77%) achieved disease-free survival (9 achieved complete remission after chemotherapy for recurrence), 6 (20%) achieved partial remission of tumor (all of them received chemotherapy again due to recurrence), and 1 (3%) experienced progression (with progression after chemotherapy again due to recurrence); 24 children (44%) died, among whom 22 died after chemotherapy again due to recurrence and 2 died of multiple organ failure during the first treatment. According to the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, the mean survival time was 53.8 months, and the children with stage 3 NB had a significantly higher overall survival rate than those with stage 4 NB (80% vs 53%; p<0.01). The children with recurrence had a significantly lower mean survival time than those without recurrence (51.68 months vs 62.57 months; p<0.01).
CONCLUSIONSOlder children often have late-stage NB, but standard treatment can improve their outcomes.
