According to the analysis and integration on prior research results regarding meridian essence, it is believed that high-energy metabolism is one of the main characteristics of along-meridian specificity. With discussion on the formation mechanism of along-meridians high-energy metabolism as entry point, it is found out that proteins of voltage-gated calcium channel along the meridians are likely to play an essential role of starting and coupling during the along-meridians functional activity. Thus, the hypothesis "proteins coupling in the meridians" is modified to the hypothesis "calcium channels proteins coupling in the meridians", which opens new path to reveal material basis and action mechanism of meridians.

Objective To investigate the effect and implying mechanism of continuous veno-venous hemofiltration(CVVH) on endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS) and apoptosis of HUVEC cells which induced by serum of patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS).Methods Ten patients with MODS who received CVVH and 10 healthy volunteers were involved in this study.This experiment was divided into 4 groups: healthy control,group of pre-CVVH,group of 6-hour-CVVH and group of 20-hour-CVVH.Serum of healthy volunteers and the sera of patients with MODS at pre-CVVH,6-hour-CVVH and 20-hour-CVVH were used to induced HUVEC cells respectively in vitro for 24 h.The cell apoptosis was examined by TUNEL assay,the intracellular GRP78 protein was observed by immunocytochemistry,and the mRNA expressions of GRP78,CHOP,TNF-?,and IL-6 in the cells were measured by RT-PCR.The levels of serum SOD and MDA were detected by colorimetric method,and those of of TNF-? and IL-6 of by ELISA.Results Compared with healthy control,the group of pre-CVVH showed higher cellular apoptosis rate(P

Objective To investigate multiparametric immunophenotypic features in patients with acute myelocytic leukemia(AML)-M_2 bearing AML-1/ETO gene rearrangements and its predicting value.Methods A multiparametric flow cytometry was used in the study of phenotypic characterization of the subtype of AML.Immunophenotype of 30 patients with AML(M_2/ETO~+)was analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH).The results were compared with 36 patients of AML-M_2 with AML-1/ETO~- (M_2/ETO~-)and 34 acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)patients.Results There were a population. 15.89%-68.53% the blast cell and a population of more differentiated and heterogeneous myeloid cells in the marrow of 30 patients with M_2/ETO~+.The blast cells had a myeloid phenotype(CD_(33),CD_(13)and MPO) and showed a characteristic pattern of antigen expression.The fluorescent intensity of CD_(33)in patients with M_2/ETO~+ was less than in patients with M_2/ETO~-and APL [ mean fluorescent intensity(MFI):98?75 v. 244?184 and 845?523,both P

Objective To observe the changes of the heart rate turbulence(HRT)in patients with isolated systolic hypertension(ISH).Methods 85 patients with ISH,80 patients with common hypertension and 58 control subjects were investigated.Turbulence onset(TO)and turbulence slope(TS)were recorded of 24 hours dynamic electrocardiogram.Results The difference of HRT in the three groups was significant(P＜0.01).The values of TO and TS was significantly higher in common hypertension group and ISH group than in control group(P＜0.05);TS was significantly lower in ISH group than in common hypertension group(P＜0.05),but the difference of TO between ISH group with common hypertension group was not obvious.Conclusion The HRT in patients with primary hypertension is significantly lower,which is more significant in patients with ISH than in patients with common hypertension.It suggests that the cardiac autonomic nerves dysfunction perhaps has an important influence on development of hypertension and its prognosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) on the activity of nuclear factor (NF)-?B in rats with myocardial infarction.Methods MSC were isolated from SD rats (120—150 g in weight).SD rats (180—200 g in weight) were subjected to MI by left coronary artery occlusion,and were allo- cated into three groups randomly:1)sham group (without ligation of the artery,n=8);2)injection of PBS solu- tion (n=8);3)injection of MSC (n=8).MSC or PBS solution was injected into myocardium from epicardium instantly after MI models were established.Four weeks after transplantation,cardiac function was evaluated u- sing physiological recorder.Western blot were performed to investigate the nuclear factor-? activity.The ex- pressions of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-? and interleukin (IL)-6 were evaluated by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results 1)Mortality was 20%(2/10) in sham group,33.3%(4/12) in PBS group and 20%(2/10) in MSC group with no statistic differences between them(P=0.646).2) Hemodynamic measurements showed that MSC trans- plantation caused significant improvement in cardiac function,comparing with MI+PBS group.3) MSC inhibi- ted the activities of NF-?B in myocardium and down-regulated the expression of TNF-? and IL-6 in mRNA and protein level.Conclusion Transplantation of MSC improved cardiac function in MI rats,which may partly at- tribute to their immuno-inflammatory regulation mechanism.

The α4β2-nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) is a ligand-gated ion channel that is distributed throughout the nervous system. It is involved in the regulation of various neurotransmitters including acetylcholine, dopamine, γ-aminobutyric acid, and norepinephrine. α4β2-nAChR plays an important role in learning, memory, cognition, attention, inflammation, and pain. A large number of studies have shown that α4β2-nAChR is an important therapeutic target for neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, depression, nicotine dependence, pain, etc. It is an important target in the early diagnosis and curative effect detection of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's disease. This review summarizes the role, mechanisms and related drug research advances on α4β2-nAChR ligand drugs in neurological diseases, as well as providing a theoretical basis for identifying and developing more suitable α4β2-nAChR-related compounds.

Objective To improve the knowledge and diagnostic ability of imagiology on neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) computed radiograph(CR).Methods The doubtful patients were done to photographs bedside using the high resolution imaging plate, 50 cases of newborn with NRDS were selected whose clinical diagnosed clearly and had been treated and had the complete CR image documents.The CR change and clinical characteristics were observed dynamically.Results Nine of 50 cases were combined with aspirated pneumonia,8 cases with infective pneumonia,3 cases with intra-alveolar hemorrage,and 2 cases with pneumothorax.Accoding to X-ray manifestations,all cases were divided into four stages:Ⅰ stage(n=5), Ⅱ stage(n=20),Ⅲ stage(n=22),Ⅳstage(n=3).Typical CR signs included:the pulmonary lucency decreasd,wide-ranging net and grain shadowes of high density, and in companing with a lot of air brunchus sing.Conclusions Computed radiography is the most important imaging method in diagnosis of NRDS bedside ,and shall be improved the ability of diagnosis and differential of NRDS combined with the clinic.
