Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of central venous catheter drainage in treating pleural effusion.Methods 100 cases with pleural effusion were treated by the central venous catheter drainage.The curative effect,complications and adverse reactions were observed.Results Ater treatment for 12 ～ 28d,catheter drainage of 100 patients were all successful at the first time.The clinical effect:completely relieve 40 cases(40.0％),clinical partial remission 47 cases(47.0％),inefficient 13 cases (13.0％),and the total effective rate was 87.0％.There were some complications:pneumothorax 1 case,hemorrhage 2 cases,infection 1 case,pleural reaction 3 cases,pain 3 cases,subcutaneous emphysema 2 cases and take off the tube 1 case,the incidence rate of complications was 13.0％.Conclusion Central venous catheter drainage in t.reating pleural effusion has significant curative effect,which is worthy of clinical application.

It is a throat book appearing earlier, has a certain clinical practicability.

Objective To make a method to determine trace iron (FeⅢ)in human hair. Methods Based on the coloured reaction between XO and Fe(Ⅲ)in the medium of HAc-NaAc(pH=3.2)with the presence of OP, FeⅢ was determined by spetrophotometry. Results It was found that when pH=3.2 and in the presence of OP, iron(Ⅲ) reacted with XO to form a stationary complex. The maximum absorption wave of Fe(Ⅲ)-XO was 570 nm, as OP was added, it moved to 590 nm, and the sensitivity was increased obviously when the molar absorptivity of the complex reached 3.67?105 L/(mol?cm) from 3.04?104 L/(mol?cm), the linear range for the content of Fe(Ⅲ)was 0.0～0.8 ?g/ml(0.0～20.0 ?g/25 ml), the regression equation of calibration graph was A=0.00236+0.542c(?g/25 ml)with a correlation coefficient of 0.997 6, detection limit was 6.09?10-6 g/L, RSD=0.97% and rate of recovery was 96%-99%. Conclusion The method can be used for the determination of trace iron(Ⅲ)in human hair samples.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is the second most common hematological malignancy.In the 56th American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting,there are mainly five hot and key topics focusing on development of MM treatment,including when is the opportunity of transplant-eligible patients in the era of novel therapy? Should continuous therapy be the standard therapeutic approach in MM? What is a practical approach to relapsed MM? How should the recurrence/refractory MM patients be managed and treated? And what are the approved agents and novel agents?

Primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS) is one of the most common forms of glomerular disorder in chil dren.It is reported that over 90％ of patients are due to minimal change disease and most respond to glucocorticoid (GC) therapy.However,76％-93％ cases have relapses and 40％-50％ frequently relapses nephritic syndrome or steroid dependent nephritic syndrome when steroid is tapered.Long-term courses of GC and immunosuppressant will place them at increased risk for severe side effects.Not all patients do respond to therapy.Although most reports on rituximab use in pediatric patients have not recognized significant side effects,the long-term adverse events of rituximab are not known.Thus,controlled long-term studies are required to be done to assess the risk-benefit profile of rituximab in childhood nephrotic syndrome.

Automated body fluid cytology analysis has been accepted by clinical laboratories gradually.The improvement of efficacy and analytical precision can overcome some defects of traditional manual method,such as time-consuming and poor repeatability.To make use of the advantages of automated fluid cell analysis technology,the automated method and microscopic method must be combined by setting review rules.Meanwhile,more attentions must be paied to sample collection and specimen preservation at pre-analytical stage,verification of instrument performance at analytical stage and necessary clinical communication at post-analytical stage.Only if a complete system of quality management,standardization of procedures,result validation and interpretation is implemented in the routine work,the clinical significance of body fluid cytological analysis can be recognized in clinical practice.

Objective To use puncture and consultation system for improving the needle puncture success rate of pediatric nurses, upgrading the level of puncture technology, reducing patient complaints and increasing patient satisfaction. Methods 200 pediatric patients selected from March,2006 to March, 2010 were divided into the intervention group and the control group, The intervention group adopted puncture and consultation system while the control group did not. The success rate of puncture, patients complaints and patients satisfaction were compared. Results The puncture success rate of pediatric nurses increased,and patients' complaints reduced and patients' satisfaction degree increased in the intervention group compared with that of the control group. Conclusions The pediatric puncture and consultation system in the tertiary hospital not only increases the satisfaction degree of pediatric patients' parents, but also improves the level of puncture technique of pediatric nurses, and has important social effect outside hospital.
