Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology 2007;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of captopril combined with baling capsules in treating diabetic nephropathy.Methods:38 cases with diabetic nephropathy were treated with Captopril(12.5-25mg,tid) and baling capsules(1.0g,tid).24h urine-microscale albumin, triglyeride, total cholesterol, serum ureanitrogen and creatinine were measured and evaluated before and after the medication. Results:There were significant differences in the total cholesterol serum urea nitrogen and creatinine, but no significant differences in serum ureanitrogen and creatinine between the priortherapy and post-treatment.Conclusion:The levels of urinary albumin, triglyeride and total cholesterol were decreased. Captopril combined with baling capsules has its broad therapeutic and protective effects on patients with diabetic nephropathy.

In this study, endophytic bacteria were isolated from roots of P. ginseng by plate culture method, and as a result, 40 endophytic bacterial strains were isolated, Bacillus spp. and Pseudomonas spp. were predominant. By confront culture method, two antagonistic endophytic bacterial strain, ge15 (Stenotrophomonas maltophilia) and ge25 (Bacillus sp. ) against Cylindrocarpon destructans, Sclerotinia schinseng and Alternaria pana were identified. The inhibition zone of ge15 to them were 5.5, 22.0, 14.8 mm, respectively; and which were 12.7,16.5,9.0 mm for ge25. The Results indicate that endophytic bacteria have biocontrol potential on ginseng pathogens, and which can be used as a bio-control factor on ginseng soilborne diseases control.

Early-onset facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy is a rare clinical syndrome characterized by severe muscle weakness started in early childhood, with extramuscular manifestations such as retinal vascular tortuosity, sensorineural hearing loss and epilepsy.Herein we report a case with early-onset facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy and Coats syndrome.Early diagnosis of Coats syndrome is critical for the prognosis.

Objective:
To explore the clinical effect of artificial dermis on partial nail bed defects.
Methods:
From May 2013 to September 2016, 16 cases of 21 fingers with partial nail bed defect and bone exposure received primary repair with artificial dermis after debridement. Then the outer dressing was changed 3 days after the operation, and the dressing was changed once every 3 to 5 days. The pink dermis like tissue was placed on the wound surface 2 to 3 weeks after the operation. The wound surface was naturally epithelialized.
Results:
All the fingers were survived after artificial dermis repair, and the fingertip surface of nail bed defect was epithelialized naturally and healed well. Postoperative follow-up was 5 to 16 months, with an average of 8.2 months. The growth of fingernails was smooth with symmetrical appearance, natural toughness, good adhesion between the nail body and the nail bed, and no pain or hyperesthesia at the tip. Results of curative effect evaluation showed excellent in 18 fingers, good in 3 fingers. Results of patient′s satisfaction with postoperative finger appearance showed very satisfactory in 13 cases and satisfactory in 3 cases.
Conclusions
The method of repairing partial defect of nail bed using artificial dermis is simple with minimal damage and a good clinical effect.

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy and complications of intra-arterial chemotherapy (IAC) and intravenous chemotherapy (IVC) for unilateral advanced retinoblastoma (RB).Methods:A retrospective clinical study. From January 2020 to January 2021, 40 patients (40 eyes) unilateral group cT2 RB patients diagnosed at Baoding Children’s Hospital and Beijing Children’s Hospital were recruited in this study. There were 22 males (22 eyes) and 18 females (18 eyes). All were monocular. All the patients were assigned to two groups according to different treatment modalities they received: IVC group and IAC group. There were 26 eyes and 14 eyes, respectively. When the tumor invades the optic nerve, choroid, sclera, anterior chamber and iris, enucleation was performed. The globe salvage rate, tumor extraocular metastasis rate, solid tumor control rate, treatment-related complications and pathological high-risk factors after enucleation were observed. The globe salvage rate and solid tumor control rate were compared between the groups by chi square test. Results:The globe salvage rate of IAC group and IVC group were 88.5% (23/26) and 50.0% (7/14), respectively. Solid tumor control of IAC group and IVC group were 84.6% (22/26) and 42.9% (6/14), respectively. There were statistically significant differences in globe salvage rate and solid tumor control between the two groups ( χ 2=7.18, 7.56; P<0.05). Compared with IVC group, IAC group had less systemic complications, mild ocular and periocular side effects. Among 26 cases in IAC group and 14 cases in IVC group, 3 and 7 cases underwent enucleation respectively. The results of pathological examination showed that there were 2 cases and 3 cases with pathological high-risk factors in the two groups, respectively. During the follow-up period, 2 cases in IAC group had extraocular metastasis, there was no extraocular metastasis in IVC group. Conclusion:Compared with IVC, IAC has the advantages of high tumor control rate, high globe salvage rate, less and mild complications, however, there is still tumor recurrence.

Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2017;52(11):841-845
Objective:
To explore the optimal positions of the implanted stimulating eletrodes for artificial facial nerve (AFN) for inducing contraction of the orbicularis oris muscle (OOM) in rabbit with peripheral facial paralysis.
Methods:
According to the four microelectrodes of the AFN stimulating side, four modes of the implanted positions were divided. In line with different modes, the electrodes were implanted into the affected OOM of the rabbits with unilateral peripheral facial paralysis. AFN output electric stimulation to induce contraction of the affected OOM with uniform stimulating frequency and pulse length in vitro. Then compared the stimulus threshold amplitude and the peak amplitude separately among different modes by SAS 9.3 version statistical software.
Results:
The differences of the stimulus threshold amplitude and the peak amplitude had no statistically significant separately between the first mode and the second mode (

Chinese Journal of Experimental Traditional Medical Formulae 2024;30(10):203-209
The theory of "brain-heart-kidney-semen chamber" axis is proposed based on the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine, the modern physiological characteristics of men's diseases, and clinical practice. According to this theory, dysfunctions of the brain, heart, kidney, and semen chamber are the core mechanisms for the occurrence of premature ejaculation, and the loss of control of the opening and closing of the seminal orifices due to the dysfunction of the semen chamber is the final link in the occurrence of premature ejaculation. The treatment of premature ejaculation based on the theory of "brain-heart-kidney-essence chamber" axis highlights the overall regulation of the Zang-fu organs involved in the disease, while focusing on the simultaneous treatment of the mind and body. By exploring the biological basis of the "brain-heart-kidney-essence chamber" axis and premature ejaculation, we propose that the biological basis of premature ejaculation and the axis is mainly related to the function decline of the local brain area, neuromodulation malfunction, central neurotransmitter imbalance, endocrine disorders, and enhanced sensory afferents of the penis. This study aims at providing a new approach for the prevention and treatment of premature ejaculation by traditional Chinese medicine and a scientific basis for the development of more effective therapeutic methods.
