Objective To investigate the protective role of Jidesheng Sheyao tablet in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury(ALI) in rats. Methods Fifty male SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:normal control group,dexamethasone positive group,LPS model group, Sheyao groups of low, middle and high dosages successively.All rats, except normal control group, were administrated with LPS by intravenous injection to induce acute lung injury. The rats in positive group and three different dosage groups were treated by dexamethasone(3 mg?kg -1, iv), low dosage(0.8 g?kg -1), middle dosage(1.6 g?kg -1) and high dosage(3.2 g?kg -1) of Jidesheng Sheyao tablet(oral) respectively before LPS-induced ALI. Each rat in normal control group received injection of 1ml normal saline. The animals were killed after injection of LPS for 2 hours, and then the lung index was calculated, the histopathology of the lung injury was observed by light microscope, the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) proteins in the lung tissues and their activity in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and the lung homogenates were detected by immunohistochemistry and zymography separately. OBJECTIVETo explore the therapeutic effects of combination of varicocelectomy with hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) in treating infertile patients with varicocele.

METHODSNinety-six patients were randomly divided into two groups: 40 patients in group A treated by varicocelectomy with HBO, and 56 in group B treated by solitary varicocelectomy.

RESULTSThe sperm density, sperm motility, sperm vigor, normality, serum testosterone, the pregnant rate of patients spouses were improved respectively in both two groups (P <0.01 or P < 0.05), and group A had better results than group B (P < 0.05). LH, FSH in group A decreased significantly after the therapy. Group A had higher sperm penetration asay (SPA) percentages than group B(P < 0.05), and the pregnant time of patient's spouses in group A was earlier than that in group B (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONVaricocelectomy with HBO can more effectively regulate reproductive hormone, improve semen quality, SPA index and pregnant rate than solitary varicocelectomy in treating infertile patients with varicocele and can markedly shorten the pregnant time.

OBJECTIVETo observe the soft tissue regeneration after implantation of two novel citric acid-based biodegradable materials in the skull defects in rats.

METHODSTwo novel citric acid-based biodegradable materials were implanted in the muscular tissues in the thigh and harvested 2 weeks later. Another 40 rats with surgically induced cranial defect were randomized into control group, autograft group, CUPE-HA group, and POC-HA group (n=10), and 3 months after implantation, the materials were harvested for histological and morphometric analyses.

RESULTSSoft tissue regeneration was stimulated by the two biodegradable materials in the muscular tissues. The implants also stimulated angiogenesis and soft tissue regeneration in the cranial defect and accelerated of intramembranous ossification.

CONCLUSIONThe 2 novel citric acid-based biodegradable materials can induce angiogenesis and soft tissue regeneration and accelerate intramembranous ossification in rats with cranial defects.

Objective To explore the clinical features of a family with myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) in order to improve the knowledge of this disease.Methods Clinical data of members from the family were collected.Electrocardiogram (ECG),electromyogram (EMG) and blood biochemistry were performed in some members of the family.Characteristics of pathology and gene of the propositi were detected.Results Anticipation was found in the family which was verified as DM1.In the all 19 patients,17 had myasthenia gravis,14 had muscle atrophy,16 had myotonia,5 had complicated with cataract,and 7 had complicated with hypophrenia.The 5 patients accepted ECG all had abnormal results,3 of them had myotonic discharge and metabolic abnormalities.Pathological analysis showed the main fibers atrophy was type Ⅰ,and the protein dystrophin expression was completely in the propositi.Conclusions The clinical manifestations of patients are various.DM1 affects eye (the lens),heart (mainly the conduction system),reproductive system besides skeletal muscle.Necessary auxiliary examinations and regular follow-up should be performed to evaluate and deal with multisystemic involvement in DM1 patients.EMG and pathological results are helpful in the diagnosis.Gene analysis can verify the disease and identify subclinical patients.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of umbilical cord milking (UCM) on neonatal outcomes after cesarean section.Methods:Chinese and English databases (including CNKI, Wanfang, China Biology Medicine Disc, VIP, Yiigle, PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar) and ClinicalTrials.gov were retrieved from the inception to July 2023. Randomized controlled trials regarding UCM in neonates from different races who were born by cesarean section were included. The outcomes were postnatal hemoglobin level, hematocrit value, peak serum bilirubin level, phototherapy, cord blood pH value, intraventricular hemorrhage, death, polycythemia, neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis, and Apgar score. The risk of bias among the included studies was confined to low or possible risk according to the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment Tool 2.0. RevMan5.3 was used for meta-analysis, and subgroup analysis was performed among neonates with different gestational ages. The certainty of evidence was evaluated using the grades of recommendations assessment, development, and evaluation (GRADE) framework.Results:A total of 11 articles involving 2 347 neonates (1 322 full-term and 1 025 preterm infants) were included. Meta-analysis results showed that: (1) Compared with the immediate cord clamping, UCM increased the hemoglobin level within 24 h and 48-72 h after birth ( MD=1.40, 95% CI: 1.11-1.70, Z=9.32; MD=0.86, 95% CI: 0.69-1.02, Z=10.02, both P<0.01), hematocrit value within 24 h and 48-72 h after birth ( MD=2.73, 95% CI: 0.18-5.29, Z=2.09, P=0.04; MD=3.57, 95% CI: 2.29-4.85, Z=5.46, P<0.01). However, no significant differences were found in the peak bilirubin level, phototherapy, cord blood pH, and Apgar score at 1 and 5 min (all P>0.05). (2) Compared with delayed cord clamping, UCM increased the hemoglobin level ( MD=0.83, 95% CI: 0.75-0.91, Z=20.11, P<0.01) and hematocrit value ( MD=2.34, 95% CI: 1.25-3.43, Z=4.20, P<0.01) within 24 h after birth, but not in the hematocrit value at 48-72 h after birth ( MD=－0.38, 95% CI:－2.27-1.52, Z=0.39, P=0.70) or the peak bilirubin level ( MD=－0.65, 95% CI:－2.16-1.04, Z=0.69, P=0.49). Sensitivity analysis showed that for full-term neonates born by cesarean section, the peak bilirubin level in the UCM group was significantly lower than that in the delayed cord clamping group ( MD=－1.30, 95% CI:－2.26-0.34, Z=2.66, P<0.01). Still, the incidence of phototherapy, intraventricular hemorrhage (grade Ⅰ-Ⅳ), death, polycythemia, neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis, and Apgar score at 1 min and 5 min showed no statistical differences (all P>0.05). Conclusions:UCM could increase the short-term postnatal hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in neonates born by cesarean section, which might prevent neonatal anemia in the short term without increasing the adverse neonatal outcomes. Little effects were observed on the peak bilirubin level, phototherapy, polycythemia, etc. More high-quality and large-sample randomized controlled trials are needed in the future.

Objective To explore the dyad coping experience of stress in pregnant women with undifferentiated connective tissue disease and their spouses,providing a basis for developing dyadic coping intervention measures.Methods By purposive sampling,15 pairs of pregnant women and their spouses who visited the outpatient clinic for pregnancy complicated with immune diseases in a matemity hospital in Jiangsu Province from April to August 2023 were selected as the research subjects for semi-structured interviews.Content analysis was conducted using the Colaizzi 7-step method,and an interview outline and integrated themes were developed based on the Developmental Contextual Coping Model.Results 3 themes(coexistence of positive and negative stress experiences;diverse approaches to dyadic coping with stress;growth and challenges following stress adaptation)and 11 subthemes were identified.Conclusion Healthcare professionals should attach importance to the stress coping issues of pregnant women with undifferentiated connective tissue disease and their spouses,take measures to regulate the negative emotions of couples,ensure multi-faceted support,help the couple adopt positive coping strategies,and promote good stress adaptation.

Objective:To observe the effect of a wrist brace on activities of spastic hemiplegic hand after stroke, based on Botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) injection and electrical stimulation. Methods:From January, 2016 to December, 2018, 52 stroke patients with spastic hemiplegia on upper extremities accepted BTX-A injection, and electrical stimulation two days later, while group A (n = 26) wore a wrist brace during stimulation and group B (n = 26) did not. They were assessed with modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), Box and Block test (BBt) and Action Research Arm Test (ARAT) before treatment (T0), and two (T1), four (T2) and twelve 12 (T3) weeks after treatment. Results:The scores of MAS, BBt and ARAT improved after treatment in both groups (F_time > 118.32,P < 0.001), and improved more in group A than in group B in the scores of BBt and ARAT at each time point (F_group > 31.26,P < 0.001;F_interact = 10.65,P < 0.001). Conclusion:Based on the BTX-A injection and electrical stimulation, wearing a wrist brace would further improve the activities of hand for stroke patients.

Objective: To analysis the genotype of Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) in mosquitoes from Shandong province. Methods: Mosquitoes were collected between August and September in Weishan county, Junan county, and Kenli county of Shandong province in 2016. Viruses were isolated by BHK-21 cell and identified by molecular method . Real-Time RT-PCR was conducted to detect the Japanese encephalitis virus carried by the mosquitoes. Results: A total of 8418 mosquitoes divided into 81 pools including 3 species, Culex tritaeniorhynchus, Anopheles sinensis and Armigeres obturbans. Eight Japanese encephalitis viruses were isolated; 23 pools were positive by JEV specific real-time RT-PCR. Phylogenetic analysis on E sequence of JEV showed all JEV strains belonged to genotype Ⅰ JEV, and new strains that were homogenous with previous JEV strains isolated from Shandong. Conclusions Genotype Ⅰ JEV was the dominant genotype in Shandong province.

ObjectiveTo identify the prototypical components and metabolites absorbed into blood and cerebrospinal fluid of Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus（SCF） based on sequential metabolism combined with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. MethodBlood and cerebrospinal fluid samples of integrated metabolism， intestinal metabolism and hepatic metabolism were collected from male SD rats after gavage and in situ intestinal perfusion administration， and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/electrostatic field orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry（UPLC Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS） was used to analyze and compare the differences in the spectra of SCF extract， blank plasma， administered plasma， blank cerebrospinal fluid and administered cerebrospinal fluid with ACQUITY UPLC BEH Shield RP18 column（2.1 mm×100 mm， 1.7 µm）， the mobile phase was acetonitrile（A）-0.1% formic acid aqueous solution（B） for gradient elution（0-7 min， 95%B； 7-12 min， 95%-35%B； 12-17 min， 35%-15%B； 17-20 min， 15%-12%B； 20-22 min， 12%-5%B； 22-23 min， 5%B； 23-25 min， 5%-95%B； 25-28 min， 95%B）. And heated electrospray ionization（HESI） was used with positive and negative ion modes， the scanning range was m/z 100-1 500. The prototypical constituents and their metabolites absorbed into blood and cerebrospinal fluid of SCF were identified according to the retention time， characteristic fragments， molecular formulae and the information of reference substances. ResultA total of 42 chemical components were identified in the extract of SCF， including lignans， flavonoids， amino acids， tannins， and others， of which lignans were the main ones. A total of 27 prototypical components and 14 metabolites were identified in plasma samples from different sites. A total of 15 prototypical components and 9 metabolites were identified in cerebrospinal fluid. The main metabolic reactions involved in the formation of metabolites were mainly demethylation， methylation， demethoxylation and hydroxylation. ConclusionThrough the systematic identification of the prototypical components and metabolites of SCF in rats， it provides data support for further better exploring the material basis of SCF in the treatment of central nervous system diseases.
