It is an important measure in improving the practical teaching quality at Chinese westem medical colleges to strengthen the training practice of part-time assistant teachers in clinical teaching bases. To establish a good training model,we should take into consideration its operability and practicability, as well as the positivity of the teachers. The key to making the training succeful is to ascertain the direction and contents, to set up an instructors' team, and to make a specific training plan.

Objective To study the protective effects of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ucMSCs)against severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) in rats. Methods A total of 135 Sprague-Dawley male rats were randomly divided into Sham group,SAP group and SAP+ucMSCs group (45 each).SAP+ucMSCs group:Severe acute pancreatitis was induced by injecting 5% sodium taurocholate (0.1ml/100g) into the common bilio-pancreatic duct and then CM-DiI-labeled ucMSCs at 1 × 107cells/kg were injected via the tail vein. All the rats were sacrificed 12,24 and 72 hours after SAP.The 72h death rate was counted.Pathological changes in the pancrease were detected by HE staining and pathological score was graded,ucMSCs colonization was observed by fluorescence microscopy. The serum levels of amylase,lipase,TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-4 and IL-10 were determined by ELISA.Results ucMSCs colonize the injured area of pancreatic tissue, the 72h death rate was reduced, and the serum amylase and lipase were also reduced significantly. Moreover,ucMSCs significantly reduced the pathological score of the pancrea and the level of proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-1β),but the levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines were increased (IL-4 and IL-10).Conclusion Transplantation of ucMSCs can reduce the severity of pancreatic injury and inflammation in SAP rats.

Objective:
To evaluate the effect of a new kind of nasogastric feeding registration form based on energy intake in perioperative nutrition support for patients with oral cancer.
Methods:
According to the specification of nasal feeding and summarizing the ingredients in common foods, the form was optimized and applied. By the cluster sampling method, the knowledge about energy intake of 12 nurses were investigated before and after the use of the form. The accuracy of energy intake assessment of 5 patients by 12 nurses respectively and the time required for single registration was compared before and after the use. Meanwhile, the knowledge about nasal feeding of 18 patients before the use and 17 patients after the use was compared.
Results:
The mean score of knowledge about energy intake of nurses was 57.50±17.77 before the use, which was lower than that after the use (89.00 ±6.18)

OBJECTIVEThis study was conducted to investigate the effect of chewing fresh or dried betel nut on the inci-dence and canceration of oral mucosa disease in Haikou City in Hainan Province.
METHODSThrough a survey questionnaire, clinical examination, and regular follow-up, we collected clinical data from 1 722 cases and divided them into two groups, among which 704 of the afflicted people chew dried betel nut, whereas the other 1 018 chew fresh betel nut. The data were statistically analyzed using different variables which included age, number, time of onset of the disease, and the cancerous condition associated with common oral mucosa disease, including oral submucous fibrosis (OSF), oral leukoplakia (OLK), and oral Lichen planus (OLP).
RESULTS1) The study found no significant difference in the prevalence of oral mucosa diseases between the dried betel nut group (n=704) and fresh betel nut group (n=1 018) among the 1 722 cases (P>0.05), but the peak age of oral mucosal disease was more advanced in the dried betel nut group (P<0.01). 2) The incidence within 5 years of OSF, OLK, OLP, and oral mucosa diseases in the dried betel nut group was significantly higher than that in the fresh betel nut group (P<0.01). 3) The incidence of cancer for oral mucosa disease in patients included in the dried betel nut group was significantly higher than that in the fresh betel nut group (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONSChewing dried betel nut is more pathogenic and carcinogenic than chewing fresh betel nut. The extremely harmful components of the dried betel nut synergistically play a vital role in the occurrence and carcinogenesis of oral mucosal diseases.

Objective:
To discuss the application effect of relaxing therapy with a decompression ball on anxieties of patients facing tooth extraction.
Methods:
Totally 72 dental anxieties patients facing tooth extraction were divided into control group and intervention group. Control group was carried out routine nursing, while intervention group was implemented relaxing therapy with a decompression ball on the basic of routine nursing. The changes of anxiety score, blood pressure and heart rate of both groups before and after intervention were compared. Besides, the cooperation of both groups during operation after intervention was compared, too.
Results:
After intervention, anxiety score of intervention group and control group was 9.92±3.20 and 12.44±3.32 respectively, indicating that the difference had statistical significance (
