In 40 cases of headache treated by hydroacupuncture plus Tuina, in comparison with 35 cases treated with medications plus Tuina, the results showed that the therapeutic effect was better in the treatment group than in the control group.

目的探讨针刺配合促进技术对脑梗死患者上肢功能及日常生活活动能力(ADL)的影响。方法将114例脑梗死上肢瘫患者随机分为针刺配合促进技术组(A组)、针刺组(B组)、促进技术组(C组)和对照组(D组),应用针刺疗法和促进技术康复治疗。观察治疗前后简式Fugl-Meyer评分(FMA),Barthel指数 (MBl)和简易上肢功能评分的改变。 结果治疗后A组明显优于其他3组,B组和C组无差异,A、B、C各组治疗后优于D组。结论早期针刺和促进技术联合治疗是急性脑梗死上肢瘫早期康复治疗较为理想的方法。

Objective To investigate the changes in the expression of mitochondrial transcription factor A (mtTFA) during one-lung ventilation (OLV)-induced lung injury in rabbits.Methods Sixty healthy male New Zealand white rabbits,weighing 2.5-3.0 kg,were randomized into 2 groups (n =8 each):two-lung ventilation (TLV) group and OLV group.The animals were anesthetized with iv 3％ pentobarbital sodium 30 mg/kg and tracheostomized.A self-made double lumen catheter was then intubated.Bilateral lungs were ventilated for 3 h in group TLN.In group OLV the left lung was ventilated for 2 h followed by 1 h TLV.Arterial blood samples were taken for blood gas analysis immediately after the beginning of ventilation,at 1 and 2 h of ventilation,and immediately after the end of ventilation.The oxygenation index was calculated.The animals were sacrificed after the end of ventilation and the apex of the left lung was removed and then cut and stained with HE for microscopic examination.The pathological changes of the lung were scored.The expression of mtTFA in lung tissues was measured by Western blot.Results Oxygenation index was significantly decreased,lung injury score was increased,the expression of mtTFA was down-regulated in group OLV compared with group TLV (P ＜ 0.05).The pathological changes of the lung were aggravated in group OLV.Conclusion OLV induces lung injury by down-regulation of mtTFA expression in rabbit lung tissues.

Objective To investigate the influence of acupuncture and stage health education on the function rehabilitation of stroke patients with depression.Methods 85 patients with poststroke depression were divided into a treatment group (44) and a control group (41).All the cases were treated with routine neurological therapy.Based upon it,the treatment group was given acupuncture and stage health education.Barthel (BI) index and movement scale Fugl Meyer (FMA),depression scale Zung (SDS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)were observed in the two groups before and after the treatment.Results After eight weeks treatment,the scores of SDS and HAMD in the two groups were (46.97±12.17),(26.04±5.37),compared with the pretreatment scores(56.07± 5.51),(32.74± 5.17),they were significantly reduced.The scores ofBI,FMB were(67.13 ±15.53),(64.41 ±20.03) which were significantly increased (average P＜0.01),this increase was more significant in the treatment group (P＜0.05) Post-stroke depression comparison:the total effect of SDS and HAMD in the treatment group was (77.88％,78.6％),which was more superior to the control group (56.6％,52.4％).Conclusion The acupuncture and stage health education has a significant clinical treatment effect on the patients suffered from post-stroke depression and also can enhance their body movement function as well as the daily ability.

Objective:To evaluate the changes of neurocognitive function in early stage in patients with first-episode schizophrenia.Methods:In this study,73 cases of patients with first-episode schizophrenia (research group) and 75 cases of health person (control group) were selected from January 2015 to January 2016 in our hospital.The neurocognitive function was evaluated by neuro-psychological testing tool and the data between two group were compared.Results:Scores of delayed recall,total recall,3 trial,2 trial and 1 trial of research group were lower than those of control group in BVMT-R test,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).In HVLT-R test,the scores of total delay,3 trial and 2 trial of research group were significantly lower than those of control group (P＜0.05).The consuming time of dominant hands and subdominant hands in pegboard tasks were significantly higher in research group than in control group (P＜0.05).Conpletion time of connection test A,color connection 1 and 2 in connection test of research group were significantly higher than those of control group (P＜0.05).Attempt number and correct number in research group in PASAT test were significantly lower than in control group (P＜0.05).Number of search errors in research group was higher than in control group,while number of search correct,search total score and digital sign score were significantly lower than in control group (P＜0.05).Total number of words,color and color / word count in research group were lower than in control group in Stroop color word test,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).WMS-Ⅲ test results between two group had no significant difference (P＞0.05).Conclusion:The neurocognitive function in early stage in patients with first-episode schizophrenia has been extensively damaged.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect ofYiqi-Fumai injection andShenshao capsule in the treatment of angina pectoris and the influence on vascular endothelial cell function and serum MPO. Methods 90 cases of angina pectoris of coronary heart disease were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. 50 cases in the treatment group were treated withYiqi-Fumai injection and Shenshao capsule; 40 cases in the control group were treated with Plavix and metoprolol; clinical symptoms were observed before and after treatment, the indexes of endothelial cell function and electrocardiogram blood serum nitric oxide (NO), endothelin (ET), NOS and serum MPO, SOD, GSH changes were compared.Results The content of nitric oxide (NO), 6-keto-PGFLa and NOS of the treatment group were increased than the control group, while ET was reduced. In the treatment group, NO was (78.09 ± 88.71)μmol/L 6-keto-PGFL was 32.04 ± 25.82 pg/ml and NOS was 27.88 ± 9.08 U/MI before the treatment,; after the treatment, the NO was 127.11 ± 103.60μmol/L, 6-keto-PGFLa was 50.03 ± 60.87 pg/ml and NOS was 35.12 ± 22.18 U/MI. In the control group, NO was 96.98 ± 82.45μmol/L, 6-keto-PGFLa was 40.31 ± 51.92 pg/ml and NOS was 28.12 ± 5.11 U/MI before the treatment; After the treatment, NO was 95.62 ± 6.31μmol/L, 6-keto-PGFLa was 29.09 ± 42.01 pg/ml and NOS was 30.11 ± 7.51 U/MI. In the treatment group, ET was 58.81 ± 33.18 pg/ml before the treatment and 42.47 ± 40.5 pg/ml. after the treatment. In the control group, ET was 56.81 ± 32.76 pg/ml before the treatment and 60.67 ± 12.81 pg/ml after the treatment. In terms of resistance to oxidative stress and MPO, the SOD ,GSH and MPO improvement rate of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). In the treatment group, SOD was 48.36 ± 17.38 U/MI, GSH was 126.68 ± 19.93 g/L and MPO was 57.33 ± 8.34 mmol/L before the treatment, after the treatment, SOD was 62.45 ± 15.76 U/MI, GSH was 135.98 ± 28.99 g/L and MPO was 17.11 ± 3.60 mmol/L. In the control group, SOD was 48.44 ± 19.37 U/MI, GSH was 29.44 ± 21.66 g/L and MPO was 56.35 ± 14.44 mmol/L before the treatment, after the treatment, SOD was 57.35 ± 14.44 U/MI, GSH was 28.56 ± 24.06 g/L and MPO was 48.62 ± 6.31 mmol/L.ConclusionYiqi-Fumai injection combined with Shenshao capsule has curative effect on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease, being worth of clinical use.

objective To compare the technical survival between Tenckhoff double-cuffed straight catheter (TC)and swan-neck curled tip catheter (SNC) in peritoneal dialysis (PD). Methods Clinical data of 208 patients received PD in the Peritoneal Dialysis Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1999 to December 2007 were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients were divided into two groups according to indwelling catheter. Technical survival and complications associated with the catheter between two groups were compared. Results Demographics and basic information were similar in both groups. The exit-site infection (ESI) rates of TC and SNC were 22.1% and 19.8% (P=0.786), and peritonitis rates of TC and SNC were 31.1% and 22.1% (P=0.159), which were slightly lower in SNC group, but the difference was not significant. Removal of the catheter was found in 27 (13.0%)patients, including 17 cases in TC group (13.9%) and 10 cases in SNC group (11.6%)(P=0.680).The median survival times of catheter in TC group and SNC group were 25 months and 22 months respectively without significant difference (P=0.103). Conclusions There are no significant differences of ESI rate, peritonitis rate and catheter survival between these two catheters in PD. The expensive swan-neck catheter offers no additional advantage. Doctors should choose the catheter according to the economic status of patients.

Objective:To study the effect of Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe on transplanted tumors in breast cancer mice through in vivo experiments, in order to explore the efficacy and mechanism of Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe on breast cancer patients. Methods:45 BaL B/c female mice were selected to establish the transplanted tumor model of breast cancer. All the transplanted tumor models of breast cancer mice were randomly divided into five groups: the control group (intragastric administration of normal saline), the low, medium and high dose group of Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe (intragastric administration of different doses of Sanjie Xiaoliu Decoction), and the paclitaxel group (intraperitoneal injection of paclitaxel). After 24 days of continuous administration, the diet and activities of mice were observed; the body weight, weight and volume changes of transplanted tumor mice were recorded, and the tumor inhibition rate was calculated. Western blot was used to detect the expression of epithelial mesenchymal transformation related proteins (E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin) in the transplanted tumor tissues of mice in each group.Results:(1) The food intake and activity status of mice treated with Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe were less affected by the transplanted tumor of breast cancer. (2) The volume and weight of transplanted tumor in the treat groups were smaller than those in the control group (all P<0.01), and the volume of transplanted tumor in the middle dose group of Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe was smaller than that in the low dose group ( P<0.05). The tumor inhibition rates among the treatment groups were: Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe medium dose group 52.4%, paclitaxel group 40.3%, Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe low dose group 39.5%, Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe high dose group 34.1%. (3) The results of Western blot showed that the expression level of E-cadherin in the transplanted tumor tissue of the treat groups was higher than that in the control group, and the expression levels of N-cadherin and Vimentin were lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe can improve the weakness and reduced consumption of breast cancer mice, which can inhibit the tumor mass growth in mice to a certain extent. Its mechanism may be that Sanjie Xiaoliu Recipe can inhibit the epithelial mesenchymal transformation of breast cancer and the invasion and metastasis of breast cancer.

BACKGROUND:Icariin,with antiinflammatory,antioxygenatory and immunoregulatory effects,can be a potential drug for preventing and treating acute liver injury. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the protective effect and possible mechanism of icariin in mice with acute liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride. METHODS:Thirty-two Kunming mice were equally and randomly divided into the following groups:normal,model,low-dose icariin and high-dose icariin groups.The low-and high-dose icariin groups were continuously gavaged with icariin(100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively)once a day for 7 continuous days.The normal group and model group were injected with physiological saline(10 mL/kg)at the same time point.After the last administration,all the groups except for the normal group were injected with carbon tetrachloride to induce acute liver injury.The mice were killed 24 hours later,and the liver index was detected.Serum levels of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were detected by automated biochemical analysis.Tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin 6 levels in serum were detected using ELISA.The levels of superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase and malondialdehyde in liver tissue were detected through a reagent kit.The histopathology changes of the liver were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining.TUNEL method was used to detect the apoptosis in hepatocytes.Western blot was performed to detect the expression levels of glucose-regulated protein 78 kDa,endoplasmic reticulum stress-related protein(C/-EBP homologous protein),mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein and Caspase-3 in liver tissue. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the normal group,the liver index and serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin 6 were increased in the model group(P＜0.05).Compared with the model group,the above indexes were decreased in the low-dose and high-dose icariin groups(P＜0.05).Compared with the normal group,the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase in the liver tissue of mice were decreased in the model group(P＜0.05)and the level of malondialdehyde was increased(P＜0.05).Compared with the model group,the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase were increased in the low-and high-dose icariin groups(P＜0.05)and the level of malondialdehyde was decreased(P＜0.05).Hematoxylin-eosin and TUNEL staining showed that mice in the model group had severe structural destruction of liver tissue,extensive necrosis of hepatocytes and high apoptotic rate of hepatocytes,while the structural destruction of liver tissue and the area of necrosis of hepatocytes in the low-and high-dose icariin groups were significantly milder than those in the model group,and the apoptotic rate of hepatocytes was lower than that in the model group(P＜0.05).Western blot assay showed that the protein expression of glucose-regulated protein 78 kDa,C/-EBP homologous protein,mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein and Caspase-3 in liver tissue of mice in the model group was increased compared with that in the normal group(P＜0.05),while the expression levels of these proteins in liver tissue of mice were significantly reduced after low-and high-dose icariin intervention(P＜0.05).To conclude,icariin can produce a protective effect against carbon tetrachloride-induced acute liver injury,and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of endoplasmic reticulum stress and reduction of programmed necrosis.
