1.Co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency and its correlation with addictive behavior among middle and high school students in Hainan Province

Objective:
To investigate the correlation between campus bullying and suicidal tendency symptoms comorbidity with addictive behavior among middle and high school students in Hainan Province, so as to provide a theoretical basis for health education and behavioral intervention in schools.
Methods:
In July 2023, an anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among 6 654 middle and high school students in Hainan Province, selected by probability proportional sampling and stratified cluster random sampling method. Campus bullying, suicidal tendency and addictive behavior were determined according to the relevant items in the questionnaire on health related behaviors of Chinese students health status and influencing factors questionnaire, and self designed questionnaire. The co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency among students was analyzed. The binary Logistic regression method was used to analyze the correlation between the co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency and the addictive behavior of middle school students.
Results:
The report rate of campus bullying among middle and high school students in Hainan Province was 28.48%, the suicidal tendency was 15.25%, and the co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency was 8.00%. The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that middle school students and left behind students were prone to campus bullying and suicide tendency ( OR =1.55, 1.52, P <0.05), while Internet addiction, gambling and current smoking showed significant positive correlation with comorbidity of campus bullying and suicide tendency ( OR =3.14, 2.18, 2.07, P < 0.05 ).
Conclusions
Middle and high school students with addictive behavior have a higher possibility of comorbidity of campus bullying and suicidal tendency. The comprehensive intervention of addictive behavior can reduce the incidence of co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency, so as to improve health and wellbeing of middle school students.
2.Protective effect of lentivirus-mediated Bcl-2 gene transfection against phosphoramide mustard-induced apoptosis of human ovarian granulosa cells.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of lentivirus-mediated Bcl-2 gene transfection in protecting human primary ovarian granulosa cells against phosphoramide mustard (PM)-induced apoptosis.
METHODSGranulosa cells were isolated from the follicle fluid of women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. The lentiviral vectors carrying Bcl-2 gene (pGC-FU-Bcl-2) and enhanced green fluorescence protein (pGC-FU-EGFP) were constructed and packaged into high-titer lentiviruses. The resulting recombinant lentivirus carrying Bcl-2 and EGFP genes or the empty vector were used to infect the primary human ovarian granulosa cells, followed by addition of PM in the cell culture, with untreated granulosa cells as the control. The cell apoptosis was detected by Annexin V and Hochst 33258 staining, and the expression of Bcl-2 protein was assessed using Western blotting.
RESULTSThe control granulosa cells showed an apoptotic rate of (1.93±0.28)%. The cells infected with pGC-FU-Bcl-2 prior to PM exposure had a apoptotic rate of (6.99±10.55)%, significantly higher than that of the control cells, but significantly lower than that of the cells with PM exposure only and those infected with the empty vector before PM exposure (P<0.05). The expression of Bcl-2 was the highest in the cells infected with pGC-FU-Bcl-2 prior to PM exposure (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONLentivirus-mediated Bcl-2 gene transfection can protect human ovarian granulosa cells against PM-induced apoptosis by upregulating Bcl-2 protein expression.

3.Effect of cervical conization through hysteroscopy for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia III.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the therapeutic effect of cervical conization through hysteroscopy in the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) III.
METHODSSeventy-four patients with CIN III underwent cervical conization through hysteroscopy (TCRC group), and 65 received cold knife conization (CKC group). The operating time, volume of blood loss, concordance rate with pathology, recurrence rate, rate of cervix adhesion and pregnancy rate were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSThe operating time, mean blood loss, cure rate, and recurrence rate were 15.1∓3.2 min, 12.5∓1.8 ml, 94.6%, and 5.4% in TCRC group, respectively, as compared with those of 25.8∓3.8 min, 21.6∓2.4 ml, 81.5%, and 18.5% in CKC group, all showing significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONCompared with CKC, TCRC has such advantages as less blood loss, shorter operating time, more accurate lesion localization, fewer complications, higher cure rate, and lower recurrence rate without significant adverse effect on pregnancy.

4.Application of micro-computed tomography-based 3D visualization in diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer.

OBJECTIVETo define the optimal development time of micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) venography in cervical cancer patients and establish 3D CT-based digital pelvic model of the patients.
METHODSThirty patients with cervical cancer stratified by FIGO surgical staging underwent micro-CT scanning of the arterial phase and the venous phase with a delay time of 70, 90 and 120 s. The images were interpreted independently by two experienced radiologists to define the optimal development time in venous phase and establish the imaging diagnosis. Based on the pelvic CT scan data, we segmented the images using the abdominal medical image-3D visualization system followed by 3D image reconstruction to establish the 3D digital pelvic model using FreeForm Modeling System to modify the reconstructed images.
RESULTSThe optimal images were obtained by scanning with a 90-sec delay time. Micro-CT was not sensitive to IB1 phase or earlier phases (1/5), but efficient in advanced stages (≥IB2 phase). In our cases, 25 were diagnosed by micro-CT with a diagnostic accuracy of 64%. Based on these CT data, the pelvic 3D model covering the main organs, vessels, cervical neoplasm, and supplying vessels of the tumor in the pelvic cavity were successfully reconstructed to allow spatial observations of the uterus and the neighboring organs.
CONCLUSIONThe 3D digital pelvic model reconstructed provides a means for staging cervical cancer and facilitates further surgical simulation studies.

5.WANG Xinlu's Experience in Using Hongjingtian (Radix et Rhizoma Rhodiolae Crenulatae) in Clinical Practice

This paper summarized professor WANG Xinlu's experience in clinical application of hongjingtian (Radix et Rhizoma Rhodiolae Crenulatae). It is believed that hongjingtian is good at boosting qi and supplementing deficiency, moving qi and resolving constraint, invigorating blood and unblocking vessels, which can be widely used in various diseases caused by qi-blood disorders such as qi deficiency, qi constraint, and blood stasis. Hongjingtian is commonly used with jixueteng (Caulis Spatholobi) to boost qi and nourish blood, invigorate blood and unblock vessels, and together with yuzhizi (Fructus Akebiae) to regulate qi and invigorate blood, dissolve stasis and dissipate masses. According to the specific symptoms, hongjingtian can be flexibly combined with other medicinal herbs to prepare different experienced formulas, such as self-made Sanhong Yangxin Decoction (三红养心汤) for palpitation with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, self-made Anfei Dingchuan Decoction (安肺定喘汤) for exacerbation of asthma with deficiency syndrome, self-made Honghu Jieyu Decoction (红胡解郁汤) for constraint syndrome of qi constraint and blood stasis, and self-made Shexue Chudian Decoction (摄血除癜汤) for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura with qi deficiency failing to contain syndrome. For severe cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) with qi-yin desertion syndrome, hongjingtian is commonly used together with modified Shengmai Powder and Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction (生脉散合葶苈大枣泻肺汤), and for those with yang qi external desertion syndrome, hongjingtian combined with shanyurou (Fructus Corni) and Shenfu Decoction (参附汤) is recommended. Moreover, long COVID-19 with healthy qi deficiency and pathogen lingering syndrome can be treated with self-made Xinguan Fuyu Decoction (新冠复愈汤).
