1.Expression of angiotensin Ⅱ in A375 human malignant melanoma cells and its influence on angiogenesis
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2012;45(1):35-37
Objective To investigate the expression of angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) in malignant melanoma cells and to explore the influence of Ang Ⅱ on angiogenesis. Methods The expression of Ang Ⅱ in the supernatant of A375 cells and primary human melanocytes was detected by radioimmunoassay.Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were incubated with Ang Ⅱ of 1 μmol/L for 20 hours in an in vitro tube formation assay to observe the effects of Ang Ⅱ on tube formation.A375 cells were incubated with angiotensin Ⅱ of 1 μmol/L and losartan (an inhibitor of angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor,AT1R) of 1 μmol/L,respectively for 24 hours; subsequently, reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)were carried out to measure the mRNA and protein expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF),respectively. Results The level of Ang Ⅱ was 37.29 ± 0.27 pmol/L in the supernatant of A375 cells, significantly higher than that in the supernatant of normal human melanocytes (21.58 ± 0.32 pmol/L,P < 0.05).Ang Ⅱ apparently promoted the tube formation by HUVECs.Intact tubiform structures were formed by HUVECs in two-dimension matrigel after being treated with Ang Ⅱ of 1 μmol/L,with the area of tubiform structures being 2.5 ± 0.3 times that in the HUVECs treated with phosphate buffered solution (PBS) (P < 0.05).The protein expressions of VEGF and bFGF in the supernatant of A375 cells and their mRNA expressions in A375 cells were significantly increased by Ang Ⅱ,but suppressed by losartan (all P < 0.05).Conclusions There is a local overexpression of Ang Ⅱ in malignant melanoma, which can markedly promote angiogenesis. This may be one of the mechanisms by which the local renin-angiotensin system affects the initiation of malignant melanoma.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2000;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the difference of diagnostic efficacy and complications between 18 and 20 gauge(G)core needle in transcutaneous lung biopsies under CT-guided.Methods Transcutaneous lung biopsies were performed using 18G (group A) and 20G(group B) core needles in 60 cases respectively.Their diagnostic efficacy and complications were compared. Results In group A, 45 of48 patients with lung cancer were accurately diagnosed by biopsies( 93.8% ) and another 3 cases were false-negative( 6.2%). 10 of 12 patients with benign lesions were diagnosed by biopsy as well . In group B , 42 of 46 patients with lung cancer were diagnosed by biopsy ( 91.3%) and another 4cases were false-negative (8.7%) .10 of 14 patients with benign lesions were accurately diagnosed by biopsies . Pneumothorax was found in 20 cases in group A , only 2 cases of which were handled with drainage, whereas a little pneumothorax was found in 8 cases in group B without special handling. No differences between two groups in diagnostic accuracy,false-negative rate and pneumothorax rate found . Conclusion There are more complicated with pneumothorax and much severe degree in group A than that in group B,but the diagnostic accuracy,false-negative rate and pneumothorax rate are not significantly different between two groups.
4.Comparison of quality of life following three types of reconstruction procedures after gastrectomy for gastric cancer
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(02):-
Objective To analyze the quality of life(QOL) of gastric cancer patients who underwent different types of gastrectomy and digestive tract reconstruction procedures. Methods Among the patients who(underwent) gastrectomy in our department over a period of 4 years,61 cases that survived for more than 2 years were analyzed for QOL using 14 parameters. The 61 cases included 13 cases of proximal subtotal(gastrectomy) and esophagogastrostomy,18 cases of total gastrectomy and jejunal P pouch reconstruction, and 30 cases of total gastrectomy and double Braun type of jejunal reconstruction.Pouch emptying function in 12 patients with different types of reconstruction was determined in by Isotope ~(99m)TC scintigraphy. Results At 6 months after operation, the parameters showed no significant differences between the 3 groups. At 12 months after operation, the QOL of patients with double Braun-type reconstruction was superior to that of patients with P jejunal pouch and patients with esophagogastrostomy in intake time(P
5.STUDY OF RISK FACTORS OF INFANTILE RICKETS IN BEIJING URBAN DISTRICTS
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
In order to offer the theoretical basis of preventing and treating rickets as well as providing information on scientific feeding, a case-control study of 300 infants, less than 24 months of age diagnosed by multiple means was undertaken to investigate the risk factors of infantile rickets in Beijing urban districts. The results showed that the occurrence of infantile rickets was related to maternal vitamin D status during pregnancy, certain birth circumstance, insufficient sunlight exposure and unsuitable feedings. Thus,a concerted policy of systematic management involving early prevention and treatment should be emphasized.
6.Lectin-Like Oxidized Low-Density-Lipoprotein Receptor-1 and Atherosclerosis
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2008;16(12):939-942
Lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1) is a specific receptor of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) expressed in endothelial cells. It is a type Ⅱ single-chain transmembrane protein and belongs to C-type lectin family. LOX-1 leads to the injury of endothelial cells by mediating oxLDL, and plays a role in the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis, hypertension, thrombosis. This article reviews the association between LOX-1 and atherosclerosis.
7.Operative treatment of pelvis fractures complicated with lumbosacral plexus compression injury
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2010;30(4):391-395
Objective To investigate the characteristics and the operative treatment effect of pelvic fractures complicated with lumbosacral plexus compression injury. Methods From January 2000 to January 2009, 19 patients (13 males, 6 females; mean age 34.7 years) of pelvic fractures complicated with lum-bosaeral plexus compression injury were treated by surgical fixation and neural decompression. The diagnosis of nerve compression were determined by analyzing the clinical manifestation and X-ray and CT imaging findings. The injured nerve were decompressed directly by remove the fracture fragments or callus which compressed the lumbersacralis plexus nerve. Eight cases of nerve decompression were through posterior ap-proach, six through anterior approach, and five through combined approach. Sixteen cases of unstable pelvis fractures were treated by open reducton and internal fixation. Results Seventeen patients were followed up. The mean follow-up time was 27 months (12-72 months). The fractures were clinically healed at 10.6 (8-14) weeks. Regarding the Neural Function of the lower extremity, 12 cases had achieved full recovery, 4 cases had recovered partly, 1 case had no change. Four of the six patients who have bladder and bowel dysfunc-tion had fully recovered while the other two patients still have urinary dysfunction. Conclusion Early and accurate diagnosis of the lumbosacral plexus compression injury accompanied with pelvic fractures were very important. It was key to better outcomes that early decompression the lumbosacral plexus and surgical fixa-tion the pelvis fractures are carried out after injury.
