Objective To investigate the feasibility and indications of laparoscopic liver resection. Methods Five patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma in the left lateral lobe underwent laparoscopic liver resection from April 2002 to April 2003. The Endo-vascular GIA was employed to transect the liver parenchyma from the right side of the lesion. The resected liver tissues and tumor were removed via the prolonged incision. Results Laparoscopic hepatectomy was successfully accomplished in 3 cases, while conversions to open surgery were required in 2 cases because of severe hemorrhage or excessive thickness of resecting marge. There were no exudation or bile leakage on the cut surface of laparoscopic hepatectomy. The length of duration of laparoscopic hepatectomy ranged from 60 min to 90 min. The patients were dismissed 3~5 days after the surgery. No complications occurred. Conclusions Liver tumor in the left lateral lobe can be removed laparoscopically.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the effect of GABAB receptor in spinal cord by detecting semi-quantitatively the mRNA for isoforms of GABAB receptor in a chronic neuropathic pain model. Methods Twenty-four male SD rats weighing 200-250g were anesthetized with intraperitoneal pentobarbital. Lamina of L5 vertebra and superior articular process of L6 were removed and posterior root of left L5 spinal nerve was exposed and tightly ligated with 7/0 atraumatic suture. The animals were randomly divided into 4 groups of 6 animals in each group: group A in which animals were observed for 7 days after sham operation; group B in which animals were observed for 7 days after ligation of posterior root of L5 spinal nerve; in group C animals were observed for 14 days after sham operation and in group D animals were observed for 14 days after ligation. Pain threshold was measured by heat stimulation of bilateral hindlimbs before and on the 1st , 3rd , 7th , 10th and 14th day after operation. Lumbar spinal cord was removed on the 7th or 14th day after operation and mRNA for isoforms of GABAB receptor in the spinal cord was detected semi-quantitatively by digoxin hybridization in situ. Results Pain threshold of left hindlimb (ligated side) was significantly lower than that of right hindlimb on the 7th, 10th and 14th day after operation as measured by heat stimulation. There were less mRNA for three isoforms of GABAB receptor in group B and D as compared with group A and C respectively. Conclusion The gene expression of three isoforms of GABAB receptor in the spinal cord has plasticity and is reduced during chronic neuropathic pain.

BACKGROUND: Peripheral nerve injuries are hoped to promote the regeneration of nerve repair by elevating brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) concentration in local injury regions. OBJECTIVE: To observe the recanalization of nerve fiber and motor function in sciatic nerve injury rats following BDNF gene-modified bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The randomized, controlled animal study was performed at the Fujian Institute of Neurology from May 2007 to May 2008. MATERIALS: Femur and tibia of F344 male rats aged 2 months were sterilely harvested to prepare BMSCs. BDNF gene-modified BMSCs were prepared using constructed chronic viral vector PNL-BDNF-IRES2-EGFP. METHODS: The right sciatic nerve injury models were made using 60 adult Sprague Dawley rats. All models were randomly assigned into phosphate buffer saline (PBS) group, BMSC group and BDNF gene-modified BMSC group. 2 ?L BPS, 2 ?L BMSC solution and 2 ?L BDNF modified BMSC solution were separately transfered into injury site of each group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The retrograde horseradish peroxidase tracing was practiced to observe neural cell number in the Lumbar 4 and 5 spinal cord anterior horn at 2 and 4 weeks after microinjection. Sciatic nerve function index was used to observe rat motor function of injured limbs. Fluorescence excitation and immunohistochemistry were employed to detect BMSC survival and BDNF expression. RESULTS: Cell number was more, and nerve function recovery was better in the Lumbar 4 and 5 spinal cord anterior horn in the BDNF gene-modified BMSC group than in the PBS and BMSC groups. BMSC survival was found in the injured sites in the BMSC and BDNF gene-modified BMSC groups. BDNF expression was significantly more in the BDNF gene-modified BMSC group than in the BMSC group. CONCLUSION: BDNF gene-modified BMSCs have promotion effects on the recanalization and functional recovery of nerve fiber following peripheral nerve injury.

China Pharmacy 2017;28(26):3624-3627
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the use of prophylactic use of antibiotics for special diagnosis and treatment in our hos-pital,and to provide reference for rational use of antibiotics. METHODS:The patients receiving special diagnosis and treatment were collected from our hospital during Jan.-Aug. 2016. The prophylactic application of antibiotics was analyzed statistically. RE-SULTS:Among 149 included patients, there were 62 cases of prophylactic use of antibiotics with utilization rate of 41.61%. Among 62 patients receiving antibiotics,5 cases were given medicine orally and others were via injection. Nine categories 18 types of antibiotics were used, involving 69 times;cephalosporin were used in 49 times(71.01%),among which top 3 types in the list of use sequence were cefodizime, cefotetan and cefazolin;prophylactic use of antibiotics was not found in angiography(including coronary artery) and stent implantation. Utilization rate of antibiotics for other diagnosis and treatment was more than 50%. The prophylactic use of antibiotics was complex in ureteroscopy and cystoscopy, shock wave lithotripsy;the selection of drug types started from the high level. There were 59 cases of single drug(95.16%)and 3 cases of two-drug(4.84%). Total of 41 cases were given medicine 0.5-2 h before surgery or at the beginning of anaesthesia (66.13%). Medication time of 18 cases was ≤24 h (29.03%);that of 11 cases was >24-48 h(17.74%). CONCLUSIONS:The prophylactic use of antibiotics is relatively standard in angiography(including coronary artery),stent implantation and implantation of peritoneal dialysis tube in our hospital. There are some problems during special diagnosis and treatment, such as the indication of drug delivery is not strict;the selection of drug types starts from the high level;medication timing is not suitable;medication course is excessively long.
