Objective To explore a best therapy regimen for conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy.Methods Total of 124 cases of ectopic pregnancy underwent medicine therapy. They were divided into 4 groups: A group with MTX orly,B group with mifepristone only,C group with MTX and mifepristone comblnation,and D group with combined MTX, mifepristone and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Results The curative rate was 80.65% ,61.29% ,87.10% and 90.32% in group A,group B,group C,and group D. The curative rate of group D is higher than other groups (P<0.05, P<0.01 ). Conclusion Combined MTX, mifepfistone and TCM has better effect on ectopic pregnany and has less side effects.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics,diagnosis,treatment of endometriosis in adolescent and to improve our knowledge,and to reduce misdiagnosis.Methods Clinical data of 17 patients with endometriosis in adolescents were analyzed retrospectively.Results Preoperative diagnosis is wrong in nine out of 17 cases.All patients underwent surgical operation and post-operative medcine treatment.Five cases have complicated genital tract anomalies.Four cases relapsed,good prognosis is expected in the other patients.Conclusion Clinical characteristics of endometriosis in adolescents are not positive.The treatment involves the surgical operation and medicine.

Objective: To investigate changes of plasma glucagon level in patients with heart failure (HF) caused by coronary heart disease (CHD) and its clinical significance. Methods: A total of 30 HF patients caused by CHD were selected as HF group, another 30 healthy subjects with corresponding age and gender were regard as normal control group. HF patients received comprehensive therapy of enhancing myocardial contractility, diuretic and vasodilator of 7~10d according to Chinese diagnostic and treatment guideline of chronic heart failure. Changes of glucagon level before and after treatment were observed. Results: Before treatment, plasma level of glucagon in HF group was significantly higher than that of normal control group [(205.67±120.22) ng/L vs. (90.53±20.5) ng/L, P<0.05]. After treatment, plasma level of glucagon [(120.42±30.33) ng/L] significantly decreased than before treatment (P<0.05) in HF group. Conclusion: Plasma glucagon significantly increases in patients with heart failure and gradually decreases to near normal level after treatment. Glucagon level may be regard as one of indexes judging patients’ condition.

OBJECTIVE: To review the characteristics changes of calcium phosphate cement (CPC) as drug delayed release carrier before and after carrying different drugs, analyze dynamic principle and influential factors of drug delayed release system, and summarize new advances of CPC in animal experiments and clinical studies.DATA SOURCES: A computer-based online search of CNKI (www.cnki.net/index.htm) and PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed) was performed for articles published between 1985 and 2009 with the key words of "calcium phosphate cement, CPC, drug delivery system, release" in Chinese and English.DATA SELECTION: Articles highly related with CPC; articles concerning CPC as drug delivery system. Repetitive articles were excluded.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes in physico-chemical properties and drug release dynamics of CPC as delivery carrier of different drugs.RESULTS: CPC is an outstanding skeletal defect restorative material. Considering physico-chemical properties, drug release dynamics and histocompatibility, CPC is good delayed release carrier of drugs. However, its clinical application is limited only in bone defect repair of unloading sites due to its bad compressive strength and adhesivity. Therefore, studies on these aspects require exploration.CONCLUSION: CPC as a drug delivery system is a novel administration method. It can repair bone defect and release drug to achieve favorable treatment effects. CPC has been extensively used in osteomyelitis, bone tuberculosis, bone tumor, bone fracture, bone nonunion, and artificial joint replacement.

Bilingual teaching is an novelty in neurosurgical teaching, and this article summarizes the authors' four-year experience on neurosurgical blingual teaching, also involving the problems they met and the ways to resolve them.

Objective To investigate the utilization of enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition in an inpatient pharmacy.Method The utilization of enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition formulations in our inpatient pharmacy from 2008 to 2010 was analyzed in terms of brand,volume,and cost using the defined daily dose method.Results The amount of the brands of enteral nutrition formulations increased from 7 to 9 from 2008 to 2010,with the expenditure increased from RMB 426 489 yuan in 2008 to RMB 673 717 yuan in 2010.The amount of brands of parenteral nutrition formulations increased from 43 in 2008 to 50 in 2010,with the expenditure increased from RMB 8 913 103 yuan in 2008 to RMB 13 637 343 yuan in 2010.Conclusion Parenteral nutrition remains the dominant nutritional mode in our hospital and the utilization of enteral nutrition is still low.

Objective To explore the influence factors of health literacy in middle-aged and elderly people in Hunan province.Methods With multi-stage randomized cluster sampling, people aged 45 years and over were selected from both urban and rural areas of six geographical regions of Hunan province, using the China residents health literacy questionnaire developed by Chinese Health Education Center, by face to face survey to get data. The influence factors were analyzed retrospectively with univariate and ordinal regression analysis.Results The 1158 persons were investigated and the valid questionnaires were 1154, the effective recovery rate was 99.7%. Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in heath literacy among different degree of education, age, gender, marital status, income, region and occupation (all P＜0.05). The results of ordinal regression analysis Showed that the major influence factors were degree of education, income,age and occupation.Conclusions The people at low levels of education or income should be concerned about health education and health promotion strategies.

Objective To probe the periodontal ligament regeneration following the implantation of bone marrow mesenchymal cells ( BMSCs ) sheet-collagen membrane-BMSCs sheet sandwich complex.Methods BMSCs cell sheet-collagen membrane-BMSCs sheet complexes were compounded on the root surface of teeth of Beagle dogs.All the dogs were killed on 4 and 12 weeks after implantation.Periodontal ligament regeneration was observed by radiological means, HE staining and Sirus-red staining.Results Compared with collagen membrane group and blank control group, there was a clearly periodontal ligament like tissue and Sharpey′s like fibres formation in test group only.Conclustion Cell sheet-collagen membrane-cell sheet sandwich complex can effectively improve the periodontal ligament regeneration.

Objective To evaluate the cumulative irritative effect of topical retinoic acid preparations on normal skin.Methods A randomlized,doubled blind,placebo-controlled clinical trial was carried out with7groups for6tested preparations.All subjects were patch tested with each preparation for24hours on Monday to Thursday,and for72hours on Friday.The patch tests were performed for3consecutive weeks.Results The minimal cumulative irritative effects were found in Group G treated with0.1%adapalene gel,with a cumulative irritative index of0.09?0.11in20days.The cumulative irritative index was significantly lower in Group G than that in Group B treated with0.1%retinoic acid(Diweishuang誖)(0.59?0.24),or in0.025%retinoic acid(Diweishuang誖)(0.41?0.22),or in0.05%retinoic acid(VITAMIN誖Cream)(0.25?0.22).Conclusion Adapalene,the third generation of retinoic acid,is characterized by lower irritative ef-fects in comparison to the first generation of topical retinoic acid agents.

Objective To demonstrate the pharmacokinetic characters of cisplatin in isolated prefusion of dog pelvic.Methods Pelvic isolated perfusion with the balloon occlusion was performed in 11 dogs.Blood samples of perfusion and non-perfusion regions were assayed for platinum using atomic absorption spectrophotometer.Pharmacokinetic characters of cisplatin were analized. Results C_(pel max) 30.3 ?g/ml,and C_(sys max) 4.8 ?g/ml,and AUC_(pel 0～25min) 330 ?g/ml?min were observed in perfusion area.AUC_(sys 0～25min) in non-perfusion area was 56 ?g/ml?min. Conclusions Balloon catheter-mediated pelvic I-P has favorable pharmacokinetic characters for chemotherapeutics and therefore should be an alternative method to treat pelvic neoplasma.
