Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of compassion fatigue among nurses in psychiatric hospitals. Methods The self-designed demographic questionnaire, compassion fatigue scale,occupation-al identity assessment scale and social support rating scale were employed to investigate 480 nurses in five psychi-atric hospitals from two provinces. Results The scores for each dimension in compassion fatigue scale were as fol-lows:compassion satisfaction(32.26±5.34),occupational burnout(27.67±4.34),and secondary traumatic stress(23.72± 4.41).Age,position,individual monthly income, health status, job satisfaction and occupational identity had significant influence on compassion satisfaction(F=19.351,P<0.001). Individual monthly income, health status, job satisfaction and occupational identity had significant influence on occupation burnout (F=35.705,P<0.001). Individual monthly income, personality and social support had significant influence on secondary traumatic stress(F=17.203,P<0.001). Conclusion Nurses in psychiatric hospitals had severe compassion fatigue and this status was influenced by multiple reasons. Nursing managers should pay great attention to nurses with low monthly income, poor health, low job satisfaction, weak social support and low occupational identity, and take effective measures to decrease compassion fatigue of nurses.

Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2014;29(2):E113-E118
Objective To explore influences of pre-tension and testing site on the radial compliance of vascular prostheses. Methods Three different textile vascular prosthesis samples (PET woven, PET/PPT woven and PET corrugate warp knitted) with the diameter of 8 mm were selected. Under various pre-tensions and testing sites, the pulsatile pressure and its corresponding radial diameter of these samples were measured by dynamic compliance testing instrument. The radial compliance was calculated according to the compliance formula in ISO 7198-1998. Results The radial compliance of all the three vascular prostheses increased along with the pre-tension increasing. When the pre-tension was 500~550 mN, all the radial compliance reached the maximum (1.03~1.72)%/100 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), and then began to decrease with pre-tension increasing. Furthermore, the radial compliance of corrugate vascular prostheses was slightly bigger at valleys than that at peaks, while the radial compliance at peaks was more stable than that at valleys. Conclusions The pre-tension and test site had vital effects on testing the radial compliance of vascular prostheses. Pre-tension of 500~550 mN should be right to apply to all the three kinds of textile vascular prosthesis at test. As for corrugate vascular prostheses, the radial compliance at peaks should be chosen as the test site to get more stable result and reliable data.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;57(3):362-370
Objective: To investigate the correlation between the prenatal exposure of per-/polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and the neonatal outcome. Methods: A total of 506 maternal infant cohort samples were collected in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province from 2020 to 2021. The exposure levels of seven PFASs in maternal serum before delivery were detected by solid-phase extraction-ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Multivariable linear regression model was used to analyze the influence of prenatal exposure of PFASs on birth weight, birth length and Apgar score. Results: The maternal age, prenatal body mass index and gestation age were (31.3±4.3) years old, (26.7±3.2) kg/m2 and (265.0±28.3) days, respectively. The birth weight, birth length and scores of Apgar-1 and Apgar-5 were (3.1±0.8) kg, (49.3±2.9) cm, (9.88±0.47) points and (9.99±0.13) points, respectively. PFASs were widely distributed in maternal serum, with the highest concentration of (18.453±19.557) ng/ml, (6.756±9.379) ng/ml and (5.057±8.555) ng/ml for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and 6∶2 chlorinated polyfluorinated ether sulfonate (Cl-PFESA), respectively. Maternal age, parity and delivery mode were associated with the exposure level of PFASs (P<0.05). Subgroup analysis showed that PFOS had negative effects on birth weight (β=-0.958), birth length (β=-0.073) and Apgar-5 score (β=-0.288) for neonates in the low birth weight (LBW) group. 6∶2 Cl-PFESA and 8∶2 Cl-PFESA inhibited the birth weight (β=-0.926; β=-0.552) and length (β=-0.074; β=-0.045) of newborn in the LBW group. In addition, 4∶2 fluorotelomer sulfonate (FTS) was associated with increased birth weight (β=0.111) and decreased Apgar-5 score (β=-0.030) in the normal weight group. Conclusion: Prenatal exposure to PFASs is associated with birth weight, birth length and Apgar-5 score. It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the impact of PFASs on fetal growth and development through maternal-fetal transmission.

Objective:By analyzing the cost change trend, internal structure change and main influencing factors of diabetes inpatients'hospitalization expenses,it provides empirical basis for promoting the reform of medical service prices, optimizing the internal structure of hospitalization expenses, effectively controlling hospitalization expenses, and reducing the economic burden of diabetes inpatients. Methods:Using the first page data of medical records of 13 426 diabetes inpatients in the target hospital from 2017 to 2021,it analyzes the structural change of diabetes inpatients'hospitalization expenses by using structural change degree and grey correlation degree methods, and analyzes the influencing factors of hospitalization expenses by using linear regression and BP neural network model. Results:Drug expenses and medical technology expenses are the top two in the proportion of total hospitalization expenses of discharged patients with diabetes, and they account for a large proportion in the total hospitalization expenses. The results of structural change and grey correlation show that drug expenses and medical technology expenses are these two factors that cause changes in the total hospitalization cost structure and have a high correlation with the total hospitalization cost, with a cumulative contribution rate of 90.50%.According to the results of linear regression and neural network model, the length of stay is the most important factor affecting the total cost of hospitalization of diabetes patients, followed by the number of operations/procedures and diagnoses. Conclusion:The internal composition of hospitalization expenses for diabetes patients is unreasonable. The proportion of drug expenses and medical technology expenses is too high. The proportion of medical and nursing expenses reflecting the technical labor value of medical personnel is relatively low.The structure of medical income needs to be further optimized. The length of stay is the most critical factor affecting the hospitalization expenses of diabetes patients.Reasonable control of the length of stay can effectively control the unreasonable growth of medical expenses and reduce the economic burden of diabetes patients.
