1.An observation on dynamic changes of natriuretic factors in cirrhotic patients with ascites
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
Natriuretic factors, include cardionatrin(CN)and digoxin-like immunoreac-tive substances(DLIS),were important humoral factors relating to ascites formation inliver cirrhosis. An observation was made on the levels of plasma CN,DLIS,angiotensinⅡ, aldosterone and serum and urine sodium contents berore and after ascites extinction in40 cirrhotic patients. The results showed that the plasma levels of CN and DLIS had dis-tinct changes before and after ascites extinction and their changes were parallel with theactivity of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. These facts suggested that CN and DLIShad certain relation with ascites formation in liver cirrhosis.

Objective:To prepare specific IgY production using Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans(A.a) immunizing hen, and then to investigate anti-Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans IgY inhibiting growth of A.a and Capnocytophaga gingivalis(C.g). Methods:Using immunization method, water-dilution method, two-step ammonium sulfate precipitation, inhibiting bacteria growth test in liquid anaerobic culture, and ELISA, IgY were induced, extracted, purified, and inhibiting growth of A.a and C.g by the IgY was roundly evaluated. Results:The IgY purity reached to 85.6%~90.3% through 550 g/L and 330 g/L ammonium sulfate precipitation, and efficacy value was 1∶32 000. The IgY efficacy value of anti- A.a was 1∶8 000 against C.g in cross-reactivity.When IgY concentrations of anti-A.a were in the 5.0,1.0,0.1 g/L and concentration of A.a was in the 5?108 CFU/L, the suppression rate of A.a growth were 31.60%(P=0.004),10.24%(P=0.024),-3.30% respectively during 24 h culture and were 64.20%(P=0.004),53.21%(P=0.002),11.20% respectively in 72 h culture. When the concentration of A.a was in the 1?108 CFU/L, the suppression rate of A.a growth were 35.71%(P=0.004),30.95% (P=0.012),11.11% respectively during 24 h culture, and were 65.11%(P=0.005),54.04%(P=0.002),16.17% respectively during 72 h culture. When 5.0 g/L IgY of anti-A.a was cultured with 1?108 CFU/L C.g for 24 h, the suppression rate of C.g growth was 41.61%(P=0.005), and for 72 h it was 86.99%(P=0.014). Conclusion:The hen is able to be induced to produce high efficacy value IgY of anti-A.a by A.a. The specific IgY of anti-A.a is capable of inhibiting A.a and C.g growth. There are common antigens and cross immunizing reactivity between A.a and C.g.

Objective To explore the feasibility and value of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) for acute cholecystitis complicated with incarcerated gallstones. Methods From January 2005 to December 2007,71 patients with acute cholecystitis complicated with incarcerated gallstones received laparoscopic cholecystectomy by using four trocars in our hospital. The Arteria cystica and ductus cysticus were operated successively. For widened ductus cysticus,we ligated the duct first and then cut it off. Afterwards, the wound on the liver bed and its margin were electrocoagulated. After the operation,a drainage tube was placed under the liver. Results Of the patients, the LC were successfully completed in 67 cases (94.4%),4 cases were converted to open surgery (2 of them had a disease course of less then 3 days, and one over 3 days). No biliary injury or death occurred in this series. The patients were discharged from hospital in 2-6 days (mean,3 days). No complication was found during a 6-month follow-up. Conclusions With the improvement of operator's proficiency and skills,LC becomes feasible and safe for acute cholecystitis complicated with incarcerated gallstones.

Objective To characterize the abrasive wear of polymer tapes in ATM (Auto Teller Machine)servicing in sand dust environment. Methods The abrasive wear experiment of polymer tapes, PEN (polyethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) and PI (polyimide), by sand dust particles is performed in ATM tribosystem. The fractal characteristics of the worn surface of polymer tapes and the corresponding wear mechanisms are examined. Results As main results, the worn surfaces of polymer tapes show bi-fractal characteristics, and PI tape shows higher fractal dimensions and finer wear profiles than PEN tape. Wear mechanism examination shows macro and micro ploughing and cutting grooves and micro fracture characters, which gives reasonable explanation of bi-fractal character of worn polymer tapes. Conclusion Worn polymer tape shows fractal character and bi-fractal can be used in accurately characterizing the abrasive wear of polymer tapes of ATM in sand dust environment.

Objective To study the prevalence and relevant risk factors of low blood pressure and its influence on cardiovascular diseases in China. Methods A cross-sectional study for low blood pressure was conducted using the data of the third national survey of blood pressure in 1991. Low blood pressure was defined for systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) pressure less than the tenth percentile for the sample (SBP≤98mmHg and DBP≤60mmHg). Results The prevalence of low blood pressure for males and females were 2.7% and 7.4%, respectively. The prevalence of low blood pressure for females was higher than that of males (P<0.01). Prevalence of low blood pressure was 7.62%, 6.97%, 4.40%, 3.22%, 2.65%, 1.94% for age groups 15~, 25~, 35~, 45~, 55~, 65~, respectively. The prevalence of low blood pressure was gradually declined with aging. There was large variation in the prevalence of low blood pressure for different minorities. The prevalence of low blood pressure was higher in the southern rather than the northern part of China. Logistic regression showed that the age (OR 0.97, 95%CI 0.97~0.98, per 10 mmHg), BMI (OR 0.80, 95%CI 0.80~0.81), drinking (OR 0.89, 95%CI 0.86~0.93) and heart rate (OR 0.981, 95%CI 0.980~0.982) had reverse relationship with low blood pressure. The sex had a positive relationship with low blood pressure. The prevalence of stroke and myocardial infarction in the population with low blood pressure was lower than that of normal pressure or hypertension (P<0.01). Conclusion The prevalence and relevant risk factors of low blood pressure in China were various. We speculate that low blood pressure in Chinese population appears to be a normal state of physiology. The difinite influence in health needs cohort studies to confirm.
