Objective To discuss the value of essential hypertension arteriosclerosis as a predictor of early renal damage.Methods 90 cases of essential hypertension with early renal damage were selected and statistical analysis to result of AASI,Scr,ACR and eGFR with SPSS17.0、Excel statistical analysis software were carried out.Group A was defined as AASI≥0.55 and group B was defined as AASI＜0.55.Compared the two groups with relevant analysis,and then built multivariate linear regression equation.Results ① The group A showed higher age(P＜0.01),24 h DBP(P＜0.05),ACR(P＜0.01),ACR(+) rate(P＜0.01)and lower eGFR (P＜ 0.01),compared with the group B.②AASI showed a positive correlation with age (r＝ 0.483,P＝ 0.000),24 h SBP (r＝ 0.350,P ＝0.001),ACR (r＝0.474,P＝ 0.000),and a negative correlation with eGFR (r＝-0.383,P＝ 0.000).Two multiple linear regressions showed that AASI was associate with eGFR (B ＝-0.001,P＝ 0.038) and ACR(B ＝ 0.025,P ＝ 0.000) independent of other factors.Conclusion ①Arteriosclerosis is closely related with age and blood pressure mutation rate day and night.②Arteriosclerosis has a closely relationship with essential hypertension early renal damage,and can predict early renal damage in hypertension patients.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of chemotherapy weekly in the chemoradiotherapy of cervical cancer.Methods Between Jan 2003 and Oct 2007,168 patients with stage Ⅲ B squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix in Chongqing Cancer Hospital were divided into two groups randomly.The observation group,total 86 patients receiving radiotherapy concomitant with weekly cisplatin and taxol;the matched group,total 82 patients,receiving radiotherapy concomitant with cisplatin plus taxol every 3 weeks.There were no statistical difference in the clinical and pathological characteristics between the two groups. We compare the 5 years survival rate and side reaction of the two groups.Results The 5 years survival rate of the observation group and the matched group were respectively 52.3%(45/86)and 42.7%(35/82),in which there was no significant difference (P >0.05).The response rate(CR+PR)were respectively 94.2%(81/86)and 92.7%(76/82)in the observation group and the matched group,in which there was no significant difference (P >0.05).Grade Ⅲ acute gastrointestinal toxicities (nausea and vomi-ting)in the matched group were exactly higher than that in the observation group [19.5%(16/82)vs.8.1% (7/86),P <0.05]. Moreover,Grade Ⅲ myelosuppression in the matched group were exactly higher than that in the observation group [20.7%(17/82) vs.9.3% (8/86),P <0.05].there were no significant difference of the incidence of the radiocystitis,radiation proctitis and radio-dermatitis between the two groups.But the Radiotherapy completion time in the matched group were exactly longer than that in the observation group [(61.12±6.71)days vs.(54.72±4.76)days,P <0.05].Conclusion The toxicity of the observation group was lower than the matched group.Moreover the efficacy of observation group is similar to the matched group.

Methods The study was carried out in 446 women grouped as combined norethisterone containing ethinylestradiol (EE) 35 ?g and norethisterone 625 ?g; combined 18 metayl norethisterone (norgestrel) containing EE 30 ?g and 18 metayl norethisterone 300 ?g for using 5～25 years, and control subjects wearing IUD for the corresponding period. Methods: The expression of hTERT, c myc mRNA, P53 protein, ER and PR examined by in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry in 14 cases of endometrial simple hyperplasia, 10 of complex hyperplasia, 8 of atypical hyperplasia and 52 with endometrial carcinoma. Objective:To determine the clinicopathological significance of the DNA methyltransferase 3B (DNMT3B)overexpression in endometrial carcinomas and to evaluate its correlation with hormone re-ceptor status.Methods:Immunohistochemistry was performed to assess the expression of DNMT3B and hormone receptors in 104 endometrial carcinomas.Results:DNMT3B overexpression occurred frequently in endometrioid carcinoma (EC,54.8%)more than in nonendometrioid carcinoma (NEC,30.0%) with statistical significance (P =0.028).Furthermore,there was a trend that EC with worse clinico-pathological variables and shorter survival had a higher DNMT3B expression,and the correlation between DNMT3B and tumor grade reached statistical significance (P =0.019).A negative correlation between DNMT3B and estrogen receptor (ER)or progesterone receptor (PR)expression was found in EC. NMT3B overexpression occurred frequently in the ER or PR negative subgroups (78.9%,86.7%)more than in the positive subgroups (47.7%,47.8%)with statistical significance (P =0.016,P =0.006). In addition,the DNMT3B overexpression increased in tumors with both ER and PR negative expression (92.9%,P =0.002).However,no such correlation was found in NEC (P >0.05).Sequence analyses demonstrated multiple ER and PR binding sites in the promoter regions of DNMT3B gene.Conclusion:This study showed that the expression of DNMT3B in EC and NEC was different.DNMT3B overexpres-sion in EC was associated with the worse clinicopathological variables and might have predictive value. Background Conventional chemical method to fix the entire eyeball results in the edema of retinal nerve fiber layer and therefore influent the evaluation of tissue structure.Research showed that microwave irradiation can avoid this phenomenon. Objective This study was to investigate the appropriate energy and time duration of microwave irradiation for fixation of rabbit eyes specimen and compare the influence of different fixation methods on retinal structure. Methods Twenty-two New Zealand white rabbits were sacrificed by using venous air embolism.The eyeballs were enucleated from the rabbits and immersed in chemical reagents with glacial acetic acid,methyl aldehyde and chloroform for 2 days as the control group.The eyeballs were immersed in 400 ml physiological balance solution immediately,and then were fixed by microwave irradiation for 80,160,240 and 320 seconds under the lower power as the microwave irradiation groups.In the microwave irradiation+chemical fixation group,the specimens were immersed in chemical reagents for 1-2 hours after the microwave radiation.The morphology of retinal structure was examined and area of retinal detachment was calculated by hemotoxylin and eosin staining under the light microscope. Results A better fixation effect was obtained in the retinal section of microwave radiation for 240 seconds in comparison with that of the traditional chemical reagent fixation method for 2 days.The retina detachment ratio was 16.3%±11.5% for simple microwave method,50.0%±24.5% for chemical method,and 6.7%±7.8% for microwave+chemical method.showing a significant difference among 3 groups(F=32.43,P=0.000).Retinal staining was clear and retinal structure was almost normal in the specimens of microwave+chemical fixation group with 200-240 seeonds microwave irradiation and 1-2 hours chemical fixation. Conclusion Microwave irradiation method is a more ideal way for the fixation of retina because of taking short duration,lower toxicity and better staining.The combination of microwave radiation and chemical reagents can acquire an excellent quality of retinal section.

Objective To assess the clinical application values of the protcin markers associated with Down syndrome (DS) in maternal serum which were screened and identified.Methods Seven maternal serum samples with DS fetus ( DS group) and 7 maternal serum samples with normal fetus ( control group) in the second trimester were separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE).The differentinal expression profile of proteome in maternal serum from DS group was established.The differentially expressed proteins were screened by mass spectrometry (MS) and some proteins were verified by Western blotting (WB).Results Twenty-nine proteins were discovered to be differentially expressed by more than 1.5 folds in maternal serum from DS group,among which 19 proteins were up-regulated and 10 proteins were downregulated.Eight proteins displayed 2 or more folds changes in maternal serum from DS group were identified by MS and possibly matched with 12 proteins in Ameracan National Center of Biotchnology Information (NCBI) protein sequence database,such as dGTPase and Beta2-Glycoprotein Ⅰ (β2-GPI),etc.The resuhs of WB showed that the mean a values of dGTPase and β2-GPI were 21 567.0 ± 3009.4 and 22 097.0 ±3958.9 in the DS group,3957.7 ± 250.9 and 1799.7 ± 105.5 in the control group respectively,which presented that the expression of dGTPase and β2-GPI significantly increased in DS group (t'dGTPase =- 17.66,t'β2-GPI =- 14.83,P ＜0.0001 ).Conclusions 2-DE and MS are effective methods for preliminary identification of protein markers associated with DS in maternal serum.dGTPase and β2-GPI verified by WB laid a solid fundation for further screening new biologic markers for early diaglosis of DS.
