APOBEC3 is a class of cytidine deaminase, which is considered as a new member of the innate immune system, and APOBEC3G belongs to this family. The research about APOBEC3G is a new direction of innate immune defense mechanism against virus. APOBEC3G has the restrictive activity on many viral replications, which deaminates dC to dU in the viral genome and then induces extensive hypermutation. APOBEC3G can also interrupt viral replication at several phases such as reverse transcription, replication, nucleocapsid and so on by non-deamination mechanisms. However, virus can encode viral proteins to counteract the restriction activity of APOBEC3G. Elucidation of the antagonistic interaction between APOBEC3G and the virus will be contributed to development of new antiviral drugs in the future.

After dividing the patients into early-onset and late-onset subgroups, there were significant differences of DRD4 genotype and allele frequency between early-onset patients and controls (P0.05). Conclusion The results suggested that the polymorphism of DRD4 receptor gene may be associated with early-onset OCD. The 3/4 genetype may be the risk factor of early-onset OCD. Early-onset and late-onset OCD may have different etiology.

ObjectiveTo determine the effectiveness of endovascular embolization in patients with cryptogenic massive hemoptysis who were all long-term smokers.Methods Aortography and subclavian artery angiography were performed in 21long-term smokers with cryptogenicmassive hemoptysis.Transarterial embolization (TAE) was performed in patients with detectable pathologic systemic arteries.The angiographic findings were reviewed and the clinical and follow-up CT results were observed.ResultsThe pathologic systemic arteries were all bronchial arteries (BAs) and thirty-five arteries were involved.The angiography demonstrated peripheral hyperplasia in all BAs,with 24 pathologic BAs supplying the right lung and 25 supplying the upper lobes.In thirty-five BAs,24 showed hypertrophy and 11 were normal.TAE of the pathologic BAs was successfully performed and cessation of bleeding was achieved in all patients.During follow-up,one patient had episodic bloody sputum after embolization and no recurrence in all patients.The follow-up CTdemonstratednoadditionalabnormalitybesidespre-existingpulmonaryemphysema.Conclusion Cryptogenic massive hemoptysis in long-term smokers efficiently treated by endovascular embolization of the responsible bronchial artery.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of sonographic detection for calcification in diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma.MethodsClinical data of 3924 thyroid disease patients examined by ultrasonography and pathology at First Hospital of China Medical University were retrospectively reviewed to investigate the relationship between calcification, microcalcification, macrocalcification and peripheral calcification with thyroid carcinoma,the relationship between solitary nodule with calcification and multiple nodules with calcification with thyroid carcinoma and the relationship between calcification with thyroid carcinoma in different age groups. ResultsThe incidences of calcification,microcalcification in malignant and benign thyroid patients were 32.05％,6.50％ and 80.07％,51.53％,the incidences of calcification and microcalcification were significantly higher in malignant group than in benign group (P ＜ 0.01 ).The incidence of carcinoma in solitary nodules with calcification was 53.33％ while it was 22.2％ in multiple nodule group,the incidence of carcinoma in solitary nodules with calcification was significantly higher than that in multiple nodules (P ＜ 0.01 ).The incidence of carcinoma in solitary nodules with microcalcification was 74.1％ while in multiple nodule group it was 47.9％,the incidence of carcinoma in solitary nodules with microcalcification was significantly higher than that in multiple nodules ( P ＜ 0.01 ).The incidence of carcinoma younger than 70 years of age with caicification in different age groups was significantly different (P ＜ 0.05).In 40 and younger age group,the incidence of carcinoma with microcaicification was higher than that in over 44 years group (P ＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionsCalcification or microcalcification is considered to be a risk factor of thyroid carcinoma.Solitary nodules with calcification or microcalcification found in younger patients were more likely to coexist with thyroid carcinoma.

Objective　To study the diagnosis and treatment of perforated gastric cancer(PGC). Methods　The clinical data of 43 patients with PGC proved pathologically were analysed retrospectively; Results　The diagnosis rate preoperatively was 30.2%(13 cases), misdiagonsis rate 69.8% (30 cases, including 2 misdiagonsed intraoperatively); 21 underwent simple suture closure of the perforation, among whom, 4 died (19.1%), 8 had hematemesis and melanorragia (38.1%), 3 reperforation (1.4%) after operation; mean survival period was 5 months. 9 cases had palliative gastrectomy, 1 died, while 1 had hematemesis after operation; mean survival period 18 months. 13 cases had radical gastrectomy, none of them had postoperative complication or death, mean survival period 27 months, 3 surrived for 5 years（23.1%）. 2 delyed diagnosis underwent simple suture closure at first, but had extensive metastasis at reoperation. Conclusions　Comprehensive analysis of clcnical data made before operation and attenton paid to the signs of PGC during operation can enhance the diagnosis rate of PGC. Simple suture closure of the perforation has more complications, and the survival time is shorter . Once PGC gastric cancer is diagnosed , radical or palliative gastrectomy should be performed.

OBJECTIVETo investigate results of total knee arthroplasty using the long-stem tibial component combined with metallic wedge of knee prosthesis for the treatment of proximal defects.

METHODSFrom January 2011 to May 2013, 10 patients (11 knees) were treated with total knee arthroplasties using the long-stem tibial component with metallic tibial wedge of knee prosthesis. All the patients were female and the average age was 67 years old (ranged, 60 to 77 years old). All the patients were osteoarthritis. All the patients were classified as T2A style. The patients were evaluated according to knee score system (KSS).

RESULTSAll the patients were followed up for 12 months on average (ranged 3 to 29 months). The clinical outcome was assessed using KSS score, including knee pain score, knee stability score, knee range of motion score and knee walking score, knee stairs score. There were significantly differences at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months between pre-and postoperative KSS score.

CONCLUSIONThe mechanical stability of tibial fixation in primary TKA is significantly increased by using the long-stem tibial component with metallic wedge of knee prosthesis, even in the presence of poor proximal bone.

Objective To explore human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)colonization in hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)rats brain.Methods Models of 7-day-old newborn rats with HIE brain injury were established.Meanwhile,on the same day,MSCs were transplanted with Hoechst 33258 for 24 hours into rats models marked by flurescent nucleotide dye injected through caudal vein or with stereotactic instrument.After 15-30 days,then MSCs were detected with fluorescene microscope.Results With the improved rice methods,HIE animal model was successfully attained.Majority of MSCs were distributed in the cortex,hippocampus of the lesioned hemisphere,especially in the forehead.And abtained a good fusion with HIE rats brain tissue.Conclusion Human umbilical cord blood MSCs can be cultured,when transplanted into the HIE rats model,they can move into intracranial,and integer with rats brain tissue.
