Objective To know the cosmetics quality in Yunnan Province and to research the security countermeasure in order to protect the the health of people. Methods According to the state,standard test methods and criterion,the physical,chemical,biological and toxicological indicators of cosmetics were determined and evaluated. The results were treated by statistic methods. Results From 1996 to 2005,1 581 cosmetics samples were determined. The eligible rate of the cosmetics samples was 90.1%(1 425/1 581). The electrochemical behaviors of parathion(PT) on nano-Al2O3 film modified electrode(nano-Al2O3/GCE/CME) were investigated. It was found that the redox peak currents of PT remarkably increased and the oxidation peak potential negatively shifted at the nano-Al2O3/GCE/CME. All the experimental parameters were optimized and a simple and sensitive electroanalytical method was developed for the determination of PT. The oxidation peak current was linear with the concentration of PT over the range from 2.5×10-9 to 1.0×10-7 mol/L and 1.0×10-7 to 1.0×10-5 mol/L. A low detection limit of 1.0×10-9 mol/L was obtained for 30 s accumulation at open circuit(S/N=3). The relative standard deviation(n=10) was 3.8% for 1×10-5 mol/L PT. The proposed method was used for the quantitative analysis of PT in some vegetables and the results were satisfactory.

The effects of solid-state fermentation (SSF) and submerged fermentation (SmF) and the addition of olive oil on the whole-cell lipase production by Rhizopus chinensis CCTCC M201021 were investigated.Compared with SSF, higher biomass, hydrolytic activity and synthetic activity were observed in SmF.By the addition of olive oil, the synthetic activity of whole-cell lipase in both fermentations was enhanced significantly, especially in SmF, while the biomass and the hydrolytic activity were also increased.Hence, olive oil serves as both carbon source and the inducer of lipases in fermentation.It was also found that the synthetic activity of whole-cell lipase was not accordant to the hydrolytic activity during both SmF and SSF, suggesting that isoenzymes with difference in lipase properties may be produced by Rhizopus chinensis.

Objective: To establish a RP-HPLC method for the determination of icariin in Bushenning Capsules. Methods: The sample was prepared by water extraction-purfication through polyamide column. The determination was carried out on C 18 ODS column with mobile phase of acetonirile-water (23∶77), and detection wavelength at 270nm according to the external standard method.Results: The icariin sample size showed a good linear relationship at the range of 0.12-1.91ug and correlation coefficient was 0.9999. The average recovery of the added sample was 99.21%(n=5) and RSD was 1.79%. The RSD in a duplicate test was 2.18%.Conclusion: The method is simple, accurate, reproducibe and can be used for content determination of icariin of icariin of Bushenning Capsules.

The informatization of traditional Chinese medicine resources is the basis of modern medicine. With a spatial attribute traditional Chinese medicine resources could be carried out for in-depth spatial analysis, data mining and traditional Chinese medicine resources regional industrial layout. In this paper, we took the data of Glycyrrhiza uralensis in the third national Chinese medicine resources survey as the experimental data, described the principles and structure of traditional Chinese medicine resources spatial information database. We also described the establishment of analysis model with the help of this spatial database.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the content determination of 1-phenyl-7-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy) phe-nyl-5-ol-3-heptanone in active ingredients of Mongolian medicine compound shudage-4. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of Intersil ODS-3 with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.5%phosphoric acid at the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 210 nm,temperature was 30 ℃,and the volume was 20 μl. RESULTS:The linear range of 1-phenyl-7-(3-me-thoxy-4-hydroxy) phenyl-5-ol-3-heptanone was 0.102-1.02 μg(r=0.999 9);RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were no more than 1.52%;average recovery was 97.10%(RSD=1.80%,n=6). CONCLUSIONS:The method is accurate,sim-ple and reproducible,and can provide basis for the quality control of Mongolian medicine compound shudage-4.

Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury is an important restricting factor of clinical liver resection and liver transplantation.When the liver is transiently deprived of blood followed by repeffusion,a large number of various mediators are released that can lead to cellular and,eventually,organ dysfunction.This review summarizes the pathogenesis and the protection mechanisms of hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Nitric oxide (NO), which is involved in the regulation of the cardiovascular system, nervous system, immune system, reproductive system, digestive system and other physiological activities, is an important biological substance with activity. Under normal physiological conditions, neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) can precisely regulate the nervous system NO production, release, diffusion and inactivation processes. But an excess of NO associates with the development of cerebral ischemia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's psychosis nervous system diseases, while inhibition of nNOS activity can regulate the content of NO in vivo, and produce a therapeutic effect on some of the nervous system diseases. This review mainly describes the structure and regulation of nNOS and recent developments of small molecule inhibitors of nNOS.
