4.The Assembly of a Novel Enzyme Biosensor for Aflatoxin B_1 Detection

A novel biosensor for aflatoxin B1 detecting has been reported. The biosensor electrode for AFB1 detecting was assembled by immobilized aflatoxin-oxidoreductase using open-ended multi-walled carbon nanotubes as matrix. Its linear range was between 0.16?M and 3.2?M. And if the specific anti-aflatoxin B1 antibody and aflatoxin oxidoreductase were both immobilized on the electrode with Multi-Walled carbon nanotubes, the detection limit of the modified electrode could be 16 nM with a 10 times improved sensitivity. The aflatoxin enzyme biosensor assembled this way strode one step forward its practical application.
5.MRI features of Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome

Objective To observe and analyze the MRI manifestations of Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome(KTS).Methods Thirty-one cases with diagnosed KTS underwent MRI on a 1.5 T MR system. MRI,MR venography(MRV),MR angiography(MRA)and X-ray venography(XRV)were performed.The pathological changes of the limbs and their veins were observed.Results MRI found soft tissue hemangiomas in 12 cases,soft tissue swelling of the extremities in 27 cases,superficial varicosities in 21 cases,and malformation of the veins in 27 cases.In twenty patients who underwent both MRV and XRV, superficial varicosities in 17 cases and persistent sciatic veins in 11 cases were found with both techniques. The increase of tributary veins was found in 10 cases with XRV,while found in 15 cases with MRV.The erratic venous course was found in 4 cases with MRV.The abnormalities of deep veins were found in 8 cases with MRV,while found in 7 cases with XRV.Conclusion MRI is an efficient and reliable imaging method for diagnosis of KTS.

7.Relations of the doctor-patient with psychological security and stress in operation patients

Objective To explore the relations of the doctor-patient relationship to psychological security and stress.Methods Totally 430 operation patients were selected and followed-up.A survey was performed using the Security Questionnaire (SQ),the Patient Doctor Relationship Questionnaire 13-Item Version (PDRQ-13),the Hospital Stress Rating Scale (HSRS) Results The average score of SQ was lower than medium value in operation patients.The SQ scores of operation patients with emergency operation were 39.50±10.51,lower than those of selective operation which were 49.02±10.37 and limited operation which were 47.67±10.29 (P < 0.05).The SQ scores of operation patients who didn't provided themselves were 37.33±10.10,lower than those of basically which were 40.10±10.83 and partly provided for themselves which were 43.50±10.51 (P< 0.05).The SQ scores of operation patients in severe group according severity of illness were 37.13±10.40,lower than those of them in mild group which were 39.19±10.24 and moderate group which were 41.38±10.01 (P< 0.01).The SQ scores of post-operation patients were 44.32±9.96,higher than post-operation patients which were 40.36±10.81 (P < 0.01).The lack of comforts (LC),lack of information (LI) and risks of serious disease (RSD) scores of post-operation patients were 49.23±30.62,30.46±21.42,52.84±31.22,lower than those of post-operation patients which were 52.37±32.06,35.25±20.14,80.12±33.18 (P < 0.05).The path analysis showed that the regression relationship between SQ scores and PDRQ scores,RSD scores was established (β=0.40,-0.26,P < 0.01),and the PDRQ-13 scores was a mediator between the scores of LC,LI,RSD and the SQ scores (β=0.40,P<0.01).The PDRQ-13 scores was a adjustor between the RSD scores and the SQ scores (β=-0.34,P < 0.01).Conclusions The operation patients have a low level of the sense of security which is statistically significant with surgical types,the ability to care for themselves and severity of illness.The sense of security of post-operation patients were higher than those of pre-operation patients.The recognition of physician-patient relationship may be play a mediating and adjusting role between the sense of security and stress.The surgical stress affect patient security and physician-patient relationship.
8.Clinical study of ESHAP regimen for relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ESHAP regimen,as a salvage regimen, in treating patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL.Methods 38 patients with relapsed or refrac- tory aggressive NHL were selected to be treated by ESHAP regimen.Results The 38 patients received ES- HAP regimen with a range of 2~6 cycles. The total RR was 55.3 % with complete response(CR)rate of 26.3 %.The major toxicity was myelosuppression with infection,which was tolerable.Conclusion ESHAP regimen is one of safe and effective salvage regimens for the patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive NHL.
9.Relationship between the levels of homocysteine and adiponectin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum levels of homocysteine (HCy) and adiponectin (APN) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods 65 patients with T2DM (diabetes mellitus group) and 25 healthy controls (control group) matched in the age and sex were recruited in the study.Serum HCy,APN,fasting plasma glucose (FPG),fasting insulin (FINS),total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) were simultaneously measured.The homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) was calculated according to FPG and FINS.All the serum indicators were compared between the two groups.Results Serum level of HCy in T2DM group was (15.74 ± 2.76) μmol/L,which was significantly higher than (6.98 ± 1.94) μmol/L in the healthy control group (t =16.88,P < 0.01).The serum level of APN in T2DM group was (8.14 ± 2.70) mg/L,which was significantly lower than (16.10 ± 1.93)mg/L in the healthy control group (t =13.44,P < 0.01).Serum levels of FPG,HOMA-IR,TC,TG in T2DM group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group (t =10.62,17.49,6.30,7.52,P < 0.05).Serum level of APN in HCy ≥ 15μmol/L group was significantly decreased compared with HCy < 15μmol/L group.Serum level of HCy was negatively correlated with APN in T2DM group after the influence of FPG,HOMA-IR,TG,TC were corrected in the partial correlation analysis.Conclusion In T2DM group,serum level of HCy was increased,but serum level of APN was decreased,serum HCy was negatively correlated with APN,higher serum level of HCy and lower serum level of APN are related with the process of insulin resistance and T2DM.

Objective To clone and express the encoding sequence of glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)from periodic Brugia molayi(Bm).Methods Total RNA was extraeted from periodic Brugic malayi.The BmGAPDH gene was amplified by RT-PCR.The PCR product was cloned and then subeloned into pcDNA3.1(+)vector.The recombinant plasmids were screened and identified by digestion with restriction enzyme and PCR amplification,and were transformed into COS-7 cell subsequently.The expressed protein was identified by SDS-PAGE.Results BmGAPDH mRNA was highiy expressed in transfected COS-7 cell.The deduced amino acid sequence was identical with that of BmGAPDH.The recombinant pnotein wag about Nr 43 000.Conclusion The recombinant plasmid peDNA3.1(+)-BmGAPDH has been constructed and the protein has been expressed correctly.
