OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect and clinical significance of Yangxue Qingnao granules(YQG) on MEP and SPECT of typical migraine patients METHODS:15 typical migraine patients took YQG for 20 days and received MEP before and after treatment,taking 15 healthy volunteers as control 5 patients in treatment group underwent SPECT before and after treatment RESULTS:The stimulating threshold value of MEP before treatment was lower than that after treatment and CMCT was longer than that after treatment The stimulating threshold values of the healthy volunteers had no changes and were higher than those of the typical migraine patients The qualitative analysis of the 5 SPECT showed that hypoperfusion areas occured at varying degrees and perfusion defect had got remarkable improvement after treatment CONCLUSION:YQG can effectively treat typical migraine and control it's attack

Objective To evaluate gastric bypass on relieving type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods From September 2009 to September 2010,Thirty two cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients underwent gastric bypass operation in Xijing Hospital.Preoperative FBG,2hPG,HbAlc,weight,blood pressure and fatty liver were compared with that on 1 month,6 months,12 months after operation. Result There was no significant postoperative complications.FBG on 1 month,6 months,12 months postop and preoperative level was respectively 7.8 ± 2.2,7.7 ± 2.2,7.2 ± 1.8 and 11.1 ± 2.7 ( mmol/L),P ＜ 0.05.2hPG was 10.2 ± 2.6,10.5±2.8,10.5 ±3.1 and 14.0 ±3.5 (mmoL/L),P＜0.05.HbAlc was 7.6％ ±1.4％,7.5％ ± 1.7％,7.1％ ±1.9％ and9.0％±2.3％,P＜0.05.FBG[(6.9±1.5) mmol/L],2hPG[(10.0±3.2) mmol/L] and HbAlc[ (6.9％ ± 1.9％ ) ] on 12 months after operation were lower than preoperative[ FBG ( 10.7 ± 2.9 ) mmol/L,2hPG ( 14.3 ± 4.1 ) mmol/L,HbAlc ( 8.8％ ± 2.0％ ) ] in patients with BMI ＜25 kg/m2 (P ＜ 0.05 ).In patients with preoperative BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2,FBG ( 7.5 ± 2.3 ) mmol/L,2hPG ( 11.3 ±2.9) mmol/L HbAlc (7.3％ ± 1.9％ ),12 mos pest were lower than that of preoperative levels of [FBG(11.7 ±2.3) mmol/L,2hPG(13.5 ±2.4) mmol/L,HbAlc(9.2％ ±2.7％)] (P ＜0.05).Postoperative blood pressure became normal in 5 out of 6 patients complicating preoperative high blood pressure as evaluated on 12 months after operation. Fatty liver ameliorated in 8 out of 17 patients.Conclusions Gastric bypass significantly improves glycometabolism and comorbidity in type 2 diabetes patients.

A retrospective study and cause analysis on the emergency rescue and medical service during the 2015 Tianjin harbor explosion accident,probed into the defects of the contingency plan of the hospital.Problems found include impracticability or deficiency of the plan,lack of safety awareness,and absence of preventive measures.A cause analysis was thus made to propose the following improvements on the contingency plan:1.Development of specific standard operation procedures(SOPs)for medical emergency response,including SOP for emergency response organization and command,that for the procedure and responsibility of massive injuries examination,and that for emergency rescue;2. Development of the plan for data statistics,that for volunteer management,that for media communications and that for donation management.

It was found that pre-X region was present in five clones of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genome from 2 patients with chronic HBV infection. The open reading frame (ORF) consisted of 168 base pair (bp), and could be transslated with the X gene in frame. To investigate the activity of pre-X gene promoter, promoter DNA sequence was amplified from HBV-DNA by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), The amplified product was cloned into pCAT3 vector, The HepG2 cells were transfected by pCAT3-Pre-X-p. The CAT activity was detected by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit. It was found that pCAT3-Pre-X-p had higher activity of CAT, which was 3.5 fold over that of pCAT3-promoter. This result implicated that pCAT3-Pre-X-p possessed promoter activity.

Objective To explore the effect of L-carnitine on panel reactive antibody (PRA) in hemodialysis patients. Methods 50 patients were classified randomly into 2 groups: L-carnitine group receiving intravenous injection of 2g L-carnitine after each hemodialysis for 6 months, and control group did not receive any L-carnitine treatment. The PRA in serum was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before and after 6 months of L-carnitine treatment. Objective To study the application of native pelvis and ureter in kidney transplantation. Methods Between 1977 and 2001, 1 364 kidney transplantations were performed in our institution. 18 cases of ureteral complication after kidney transplantation were treated with native pelvis and ureter. The mean age of the patients was 42 years. In 10 patients with urine leakage, 3 cases underwent pyeloureterostomy using native ureter, 2 cases ureteroureterostomy using native ureter and 5 cases pyelopyelostomy using native pelvis. Five cases due to short ureter underwent ureteroureterostomy using native ureter. Three cases of ureteral stenosis were subjected to ureteroureterostomy using native ureter.Results Two grafts were rejected. Sixteen patients developed a normal function of kidney postoperatively (follow up: 3 months to 8 years). Conclusion Application of native pelvis and ureter might be a therapy of choice when secondary reconstruction by re-ureteroneocystostomy is not possible.

Objective To explore clinical effect and safety of intermittent androgen suppression treatment of advanced prostate cancer in elderly patients.Methods 78 patients with advanced prostate cancer were enrolled,and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (n=39 each).Patients in observation group were treated with intermittent androgen suppression treatment.Patients in control group were treated with persistent androgen suppression treatment.Results The time of therapy was much longer in observation group than in control group (P＜ 0.001).Quality of life was better in observation group than in control group (P＜0.05).The incidences of adverse reactions including anemia,fever and abnormal liver function were lower in observation group than in control group (all P＜0.05).Conclusions Intermittent androgen suppression treatment prolongs time to androgen-independent progression,improve the quality of life,reduce drug dosage and the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in the elderly.

Objective To explore the mechanisln of action of Jianpiyishen Decotion on renal fibrosis and provide experimental evidence for chnieal application.Methods The Wistar male rats were randomly divided into four groups.They were normal control group(N group),model group(M group),low dose treatment group(L group)and high dose treatment group(H group).AⅡanimal models were made of CRF with subtotal renal ablation except the N group.Interference began at one week after operation.After being interfered for 8 weeks,blood serunl and nephridial tissues were taken out.Serum urea nitrogen(BUN)and creatinine(Scr)and fibronectin(FN)were detected.Results In N group。There were light expression in renal tubniointerstitial substance,cellula epithelialis basal meulbnule and Vascular smooth muscle.In M group,FN was strong expressed in renal tubulointerstitial substance and renal tubde,and also in glomerular mesangium.There was significant difference between N and M group(P

Objective To summarize the clinical features,diagnostic and treatment experience of severe hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD) cases receiving mechanical ventilation from Jan 1 to Sep 6,2009 in our hospital and provide reference for reducing the occurrence of neurogenic pulmonary edema(NPE) and mortality. Methods 147 severe HFMD who received mechanical ventilation were analyzed by a retrospective investigation. Results 85.0% children were less than 3 years old and 100% patients had a fever. The mechanical ventilation occurred within 1 to 4 days after fever (3.06 ± 1. 02) d. Neurological complications presented as bad spirit,easy surprised, involuntary movement of the extremities and lethargy. Respiratory system complication presented as polypnea, hypepnea and irregular rhythm. Circulatory system complication presented as heart rate increase or decrease, hypertension or hypotension, piebald skin and low limb temperature.Some of the children had high white blood cell counting,glucose and lactic acid of the blood. The EV71-PCR positive rate was 34. 7% for throat swabs,and 42. 2% for anal swabs. Chest X-ray presented as increased broncho vascular shadows, exudation or nonapparent abnormality. Only three children were dead, fatality rate was 2. 0%. Conclusion The HFMD cases in this outbreak are relatively more serious,and change rapidly. It's difficult to treat as soon as NPE appeared,and it has high fatality rate. Early recognition of critical patients,timely giving mechanical ventilation,and the comprehensive treatment can reduce NPE incidence and the mortality.
