From the perspective of portable monitoring devices,we use an analog front-end AFE4490 design a module of Non-invasive blood oxygen measurement, used to collect human pulse wave signal and peak (valley) value detection and then use the principles of non-invasive oximetry calculated oxygen saturation (SPO2). This design of noninvasive oximetry module has the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, and the results of test show that the measurement of oxygen saturation are correct.

Objective To investigate the effect of ?,?-carotene in enhancing the function of anti-oxidative damage in osteoblasts. Methods M3T3-E1 osteoblasts were randomly divided in five groups: control group, model group, and ?,?-carotene group [low-dose(1?10-8mol/L),medium-dose(1?10-7mol/L),high-dose(1?10-6mol/L)].The activity of cells, superoxide dismutase(SOD),the content of reactive oxygen species(ROS),lipid oxygen(LPO),and membrane fluidity were tested and compared. Results Compared with those in ?,?-carotene groups, the activity of cells,SOD activity and membrane fluidity in the model group were significantly decreased(P

Objective To find out the associated effect of intrauterine infection and interuterine asphyxia to fetal rat′s brain damage, cell apoptosis, and expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP).Methods Pregnant rats of gestation 18 days were randomly divided into four groups:1.NS plus sham operation,2.intrauterine infection,3.intrauterine asphyxia,4.intrauterine infection plus intrauterine asphyxia. The fetal rats′ brains were taken out 72 h after different disposal and given HE coloration, immunohistochemistry of TUNEL and GFAP,respectively. Results The level of brain cell edema and tissue disorganization of group intrauterine infection plus intrauterine asphyxia were more serious than those of group intrauterine infection or group intrauterine asphyxia.TUNEL and GFAP had the same results:The number of positive cells in group intrauterine infection plus intrauterine asphyxia more than that in group intrauterine infection, and which in group intrauterine asphyxia more than that in group NS plus sham operation. There was significant difference between the first three groups and the group NS plus sham operation(P=0).There was also significant difference between group intrauterine infection plus intrauterine asphyxia and group intrauterine infection or group intrauterine asphyxia(P=0).Conclusions Both intrauterine infection and intrauterine asphyxia may induce premature rat brain damage, the association of intrauterine infection and intrauterine asphyxia may aggravate the degree of fetal rat brain damage, also increase the number of apoptosis cell and the expression of GFAP.

Objective To observe the alteration of astrocyte and apoptosis in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Me-thods The pathological brain specimens of 25 newborns who died of HIE were observed macroscopically and microscopically, included male 14 cases and female 11 cases. The immunochemistry staining with glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP)and in situ end terminal dexynucleotidy 1 transferase mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate-biotion nick and labeling(TUNEL)methods were used to observe the changes of astrocyte and the neurons apoptosis in HIE.The relationship between the change of astrocyte and the neurons apoptosis and the occurrence of HIE and course of disease were further synthetically analyzed. Results The brain specimens of 25 newborn HIE had apoptosis cells at the different level. The degree of apoptosis of cerebral neurons was severe in the cases of 24 h-6 d survival(P

We observed the structure and form of adult annulus fibrosus of lumbar intervertebral disc at the fibrous layer level. The annulus fibrosus of lumbar interverbral disc was delaminated by using microsurgical technique. 8 testing points were taken in each layer and the angles between their fibers going and horizontal plane were measured. The results showed that the fiber going angle at each measurement point continually increased with the increase of fibrous layer from outside to inside along the radial direction in horizontal plane. The least fiber going angle was 25 degrees - 30 degrees. The fiber going angle at the same layer gradually increased from front to back. The fiber going angle was 70 degrees - 90 degrees at the middle of the back of annulus fibrosus of lumbar interverbral disc. The fiber going was consistent with the posterior longitudinal ligament going. Through the normalized equation and normalized line, the fiber going angle at any point in any layer could be obtained conveniently. We also observed that the annuli fibrosus were interlaced in the front, left and right of annulus fibrosus of lumbar intervertebral disc. And there were more interlaced areas in local sides of lumbar intervertebral disc, but there was no interlaced areas between layers near the middle of posterior annulus fibrosus. So we came to the conclusion: Annulus fibrosus of lumbar intervertebral disc has a special micro-structure in adaptation with its function.

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship among dream threat level, life events and childhood trauma in obsessive-compulsive patients. Methods 59 obsessive-compulsive patients and 57 healthy controls were tested with Dream Threat Questionnaire (DTQ),Childhood Trauma Questionnaire ( CTQ ) and Life Events Scale (LES).The dream threat level were compared between the two groups, and correlation and regression analysis were used to research the relationship of the variables for patients’ data.ResultsCompared with the healthy controls, patients had significantly higher DTQ score ( 1.40 ± 2.23 vs 3.31 ± 3.04,P < 0.01 ),CTQ total score (34.21 ± 8.47 vs 43.02 ± 10.78,P < 0.01 ),LES total score ( 16.88 ± 16.42 vs 45.39 ± 46.01,P < 0.01 ) and its negtive life events subscore ( 14.14 ± 14.61 vs 39.56 ± 42.94,P < 0.01 ).Correlation analysis showed that dream threat level, negative life events and childhood trauma were significantly positively correlated each other( r =0.326 ~0.402,P < 0.05 ~0.01 ).Regression analysis indicated that childhood trauma directly predicted dream threat level (β =0.104,P < 0.05 ) and completely mediated the relationship between negative life events and dream threat level.ConclusionObsessive-compulsive patients have higher dream threat level, more childhood trauma experience and life events.Childhood trauma experience is a significant factor influencing dream threat level, and as a complete mediation by which life events influence dream threat level.

Objective To discuss the prevention and treatment of the complications of modified radical mastectomy with nipple-areola complex (NAC) sparing. Methods The clinical data of 124 breast cancer patients who had a NAC sparing modified radical mastectomy from January 1998 to December 2008 were analyzed retrospectively. The causes of complications were evaluated and the proposal of prevention and treatment was put forward. Results Of the 124 patients, 18 had nipple necrosis (14.52%), 9 had skin infections and necrosis (7.26%), 7 subcutaneous hydrops(5.65%), 5 upper extremity lymphedema (4.03%), 3 chest muscle contracture with ipsilateral upper limb dyskinesia (2.42%), and 2 operative residual cavity hemorrhage(1.61%). Conclusion All the post-operative complications listed above could be possibly avoided by more careful operation procedure.
