1.Advances in mesenchymal stem cells combined with traditional Chinese medicine therapy for liver fibrosis.
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2014;12(3):147-155
Liver fibrosis is a primary cause of liver cirrhosis, and even hepatocarcinoma. Recently, the usage of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) has been investigated to improve liver fibrosis. It has been reported that the differentiation, proliferation and migration of MSCs can be regulated by traditional Chinese medicine treatment; however, the mechanisms are still unclear. In this article, the authors review the characteristics of MSCs such as multidirectional differentiation and homing, and its application in animal experiments and clinical trials. The authors also list areas that need further investigation, andlook at the future prospects of clinical application of MSCs.

4.Intervention researches on frailty
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2017;36(2):229-232
Frailty is an age-related non-specificity status caused by a decline of physiological reservation, which leads to an increase of vulnerability in body and decrease of ability in stress resistance. The pathophysiology of frailty involves multiple systems including neuromuscular system, metabolism and immune system.Studies have showed that frailty is closely related with negative events of elder people.People with frailty are subject to higher risks for fall, hospitalization, and mortality. However, the development of frailty can be delayed if early prevention or interventions are performed.Prospective cohort studies have showed that the risk factors for frailty include age, gender, family history of obesity,BMI,waist circumference, blood pressure, hyperglycemia, smoking and lack of exercise.Among them, nutrition, exercise and therapeutic drugs are hot spots in prevention study. Here,we reviewed the intervention studies by focusing on nutrition, exercise and therapeutic drugs in frail population.
5.Progress of cyclooxygense-2 inhibitors in treatment of Alzheimer's disease
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2000;0(03):-
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia in the elderly population. The occurrence of dementia correlates with inflammation. Inflammation processes may play a critical role in the pathogenesi s of the degenerative changes and cognitive impairments associated with Alzheime r's disease. Cyclooxygense-2 (COX-2) inhibitors are reported to be e ffective in reducing the risk of developing AD or cognitive impairments. Studies on this field are of important significance in the understanding the pathogenes is and therapeutic measures for AD. This review will discuss the progress in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease by COX-2 inhibitors.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2013;(7):748-754
Objective To compare the biomechanical properties of single-segment and two-segment fusion for Denis type B spinal fracture. Methods Two female patients with Denis type B L1 vertebral fracture were enrolled in this study. The 45-year-old patient (Frankel B) underwent posterior reduction and fixation with pedicle screw system plus anterior two-segment fusion and the 41-year-old patient (Frankel C) underwent posterior reduction and fixation with pedicle screw system plus anterior one-segment fusion. The intervertebral fusion was achieved in both patients 1 year after operation.CT data of the two patients at 1 year after surgery was collected, including data of 41-year-old patient before and after removal of pedicle screws and data of 45-year-old patient without removal of pedicle screws. These three sets of data were imported into the Mimics software to establish T11-L2 three dimensional models. After construction of the models, they were imported into ANSYS software. An axial load (260 N) and 10 Nm torque were loaded to simulate the flexion, extension, lateral bending and rotation of the spine, respectively.Meantime, under above 6 kinds of motion form, the average displacement of the spine and the average Von Mises stress of T11-12 intervertebral disc were recorded and compared. Results There was no significant difference in the average displacement of the spine between two-segment fusion patient and single-segment fusion patient without removal of pedicle screws. However, under all motion forms, the average displacement of the spine of single-segment fusion patient after removal of pedicle screws was significantly higher than that before removal of pedicle screws and that of two-segment fusion patient. The average Von Mises stress of T11-12 intervertebral discs of two-segment fusion patient was significantly higher than that of one-segment fusion patient. Moreover, the average Von Mises stress of T11-12 intervertebral discs of single-segment fusion patient before removal of pedicle screw was higher than that after removal of pedicle screw. Conclusion Under the premise of satisfactory interbody fusion, removal of pedicle screws after one-segment fusion can increase spinal motion, reduce the stress of the adjacent intervertebral discs and delay disc degeneration.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(17):-
Objective To determine the changes of coagulation indexes of rabbits struck at different levels and sieve the traditional coagulation indexes, such as activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT) and fibrinogen (FIB). Methods We used correlation analysis to precondition the data to reject indexes, and used stepwise discriminatory analysis to choose indexes and made the diagnosis by multiple linear discrimination analysis. Then, by random sampling we compared the correct diagnostic rate by 4 indexes with that by 3 indexes. Results The correct discrimination rate of blood coagulation function diagnosis in rabbits was up to 87.60% by the four indexes and 96.12% with the three indexes (APTT, PT and TT). The average correct discrimination rate of blood coagulation function diagnosis in 1 000-time random sampling was up to 83.07% by the four indexes and 85.16% by the three indexes. Conclusion Stepwise discriminatory analysis can be used to discriminate hemorrhage from thromboxane. The correct diagnostic rate gets higher when FIB was rejected.
