1.The role of oxidative stress induced histone modification in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2014;(9):968-972
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) is a prevalent disease which is the fourth leading cause of death worldwide and will be the major economic burden of diseases according to the World Bank /World Health Organization .However , the pathogenesis of COPD is inadequately understood , oxidative stress and chronic inflammation are considered to be two independent path -ogenetic factors , but the epigenetic put them together because of changes of the environment lead to gene abnormal expression .This ar-ticle summarizes the relationship between histone modifications of genes induced by oxidative stress and the inflammation , antioxidant response, apoptosis, autophagy and the differentiation of T cell subsets in the pathogenesis of COPD .The work will provide more choices for clinical treatment of COPD .
2.The cytotoxicity of scorpion venom (buthus martensii karshi) on human esophageal cancer cell——Eca109 cultured in vitro
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
The cultured human esophageal cancer cell line——Eca109 cells was incubated with the scorpion venom crude (SVC) collected from Buthus Martensii Karshiin Henan Province. The growth inhibition and cytotoxicity of SVC on Eca109 cells were detected. The results showed that Eca109 cell growth was inhibited by SVC. while Eca 109 cells were incubated with SVC for 24, 48, 72hrs. The rates of inhibition were 35.6%, 39.5, 36.9% respectively, the concention of SVC used was 0.017?g/ml. The mitochondrial dehydrogenase of Eca109 cells were also inhibited by SVC, Which had the cytotoxic effect on Eca109 cells. When the concentrations of SVC were 0.017?g/ml, 0.034?g/ml, 0.085?g/ml, the cytotoxicity were 63%, 56% and 59%, respectively. The effect and mechanism of cytotoxicity of SVC on the tumor cells are worth further studies.

6.A riboprinting scheme for identification of unknown Acanthamoeba isolates at species level.
The Korean Journal of Parasitology 2002;40(1):25-31
We describe a riboprinting scheme for identification of unknown Acanthamoeba isolates at the species level. It involves use of the PCR-RFLP of small subunit ribosomal RNA gene (riboprint) of 24 reference strains by 4 kinds of restriction enzymes. Seven strains in morphological group I and III were identified at species level with their unique sizes of PCR product and riboprint type by Rsa I. Unique restriction fragment length patterns of 17 strains in group II by Dde I, Taq I and Hae III were classified into: (1) four taxa that were identifiable to the species level, (2) a subgroup of 4 taxa and a pair of 2 taxa that were identical to each other, and (3) a species complex of 7 taxa assigned to A. castellanii complex that were closely related. These results were consistent with that of 18s rDNA sequence analysis. This approach provides an alternative to the rDNA sequencing for rapid identification of a new clinical isolate or large number of environmental isolates of Acanthamoeba.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2000;0(12):-
Objective To study CT characteristic findings of pancreatic rupture caused by closed abdominal trauma. Methods The clinical and CT data of 6 patients with pancreatic rupture caused by closed abdominal trauma were analyzed retrospectively.CT plain scan and the tripple-phased enhancement scan were performed,multi-planar reformation(MPR)and maximum intensity projection(MIP)were used after CT scanning.Thin slice of CT scan and post-processing technique of imaging were used furthermore. Results The rupture of pancreatic neck and tail were shown in 2 cases, the rupture of pancreatic head and body in 1 case.Main CT findings were such as following:(1)Hematomas in pancreas or in pancreatic surrounding tissues were shown in 6 cases, they were hyperintensity or slight hyperintensity in plain scan and were not enhanced in three-phase dynamic scan of pancreas.(2)Pancreatic splits, which were relative hypointensity after administration of CT contrast agent in the pancreatic phase, were found in 6 cases, they were like slit-shaped or wedge-shaped or pancreas separated completely in situs. In the pancreatic phase, pancreas parenchyma enhanced obviously but hematoma in the splits did not enhanced, and this drew the outline of pancreatic splits clearly.(3)Contrast agent in the pancreatic hematomas, which leaked from vessels of pancreas, were shown in two patients, like dot or nodule or pond, were highly intensity in artery phase, and there were more leaking of contrast agent in the pancreatic phase, whose intensity was same as abdominal aorta in the same slice image. In the delayed phase, the volume of leaking contrast agent enlarged and they had higher intensity while intensity of abdominal aorta in same slice image decreased obviously.(4)Dilation of the Wirsung duct, which was like curved-tube,was shown in one patient.(5)Meanwhile the contusion of liver, kidney or spleen with pancreatic rupture were found in 4 patients. Conclusion The pancreatic rupture has typical CT findings. It is helpful to improve the accuracy rate of diagnosis with reasonable scanning techniques and understanding correctly CT appearances of pancreatic rupture.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the current sanitary situation of the rural household latrine and the effects of decontamination of the feces in some epidemic areas of schistosome in Hubei province. Methods Six villages(4 villages with the sanitary latrines,2 villages with the non-sanitary latrines) were chosen for the investigation and 30 latrines were selected randomly in each village in September of 2007.The structure of the latrine and the situation of the faecal treatment were investigated by questionnaires. At the same time, the feces samples were collected and detected according to the related sanitary standards. Results The rate of the sanitary latrines without maggots, pupas and flies was 95%,while the rate of the non-sanitary latrines with the same situation was 33.33%.After non-hazardous treatment in the three-case-cesspool and the firedamp latrines, the qualified rates of the roundworm eggs were 95.6% and 98.6% respectively;the qualified rates of fecal coliform were both 100%;no schistosome eggs, the alive schistosome eggs and the alive roundworm eggs were detected. The morbidity rate of schistosomiasis of the villages with the sanitary latrines was 43.7%,lower than those with the non-sanitary latrines. Conclusion The faecal treatment of the rural household latrine in epidemic areas of schistosome can improve the sanitation and kill the pathogens in faeces effectively, and also can decrease the morbidity rate of schistosomiasis obviously.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;(1):102-105
Erythropoietin (EPO) is an active glycoprotein synthesized by kidney. The physiological function of regulat?ing the synthesis of erythrocytes by EPO makes it as a clinical drug for treatment of anemia resulted from chronic kidney fail?ure. However, its short biological half-life makes frequent administration, which limits its wide clinical utility since the tough burden and pain on patients. Therefore, the development of EPO derivatives with good efficacy, less adverse reaction and long duration has been a hot spot in the field during several decades. There are currently many different variants of EPO derivatives including erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESAs) on the market. This article aims to summarize the recent re?search progress in the development of erythropoietin derivatives, specially focusing on EPO mimetic peptides (EMP).
