2.Competency-based training - revolution in medical education in Neurosurgery
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(5):587-590
In the medical field, the innovation education is to cultivate residents in China, which is an important way to senior medical elite. By analyzing competency-based neurosurgery residency training mode, the training methods for innovative ability of competency-based neurosurgeon are further discussed, for the purpose of reforming the training mode of neurosurgeon, improving creative ability and scientific clinical thinking ability.
4.Research advances of antitumor activity of toad venom
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;37(4):181-184
Toad venom as a Chinese traditional natural medicine with a kind of effective chemical components has been widely used for many disease.Recently more and more research was focused on its remarkable antitumor efforts, new studies have found that the mechanism was closely associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress,tumor-related inflammation, autophagy, mitochondria-induced apoptosis pathway, heat chock protein and immuneomodulatory. In this article we reviewed the antitumor research advances of toad venom and its active compounds from several aspects mentioned above.
5.The Effect and Clinical Significance of Yangxue Qingnao Granules on MEP and SPECT of Typical Migraine Patients
China Pharmacy 2001;0(12):-
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect and clinical significance of Yangxue Qingnao granules(YQG) on MEP and SPECT of typical migraine patients METHODS:15 typical migraine patients took YQG for 20 days and received MEP before and after treatment, taking 15 healthy volunteers as control 5 patients in treatment group underwent SPECT before and after treatment RESULTS:The stimulating threshold value of MEP before treatment was lower than that after treatment and CMCT was longer than that after treatment The stimulating threshold values of the healthy volunteers had no changes and were higher than those of the typical migraine patients The qualitative analysis of the 5 SPECT showed that hypoperfusion areas occured at varying degrees and perfusion defect had got remarkable improvement after treatment CONCLUSION:YQG can effectively treat typical migraine and control it's attack
6.Effects of axial stress on healing of lengthened callus
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
AIM: To explore the effects of axial stress regulation on healing of lengthened ca llus. METHODS: Tibiofibulars of 30 rabbits were lengthened 2 cm with t wice plane sreminobicular crib external fixator. Experimental group continues to lengthen 3 mm, and then were drawn and shortened 0.5mm once every 24 h separate ly for 10 days. Ten days later, tibiofibulars were axial short-stressed 1 mm wee kly with three times. Animals were killed 58 days after operation and X-ray, bon e density and histology tests were performed with lengthened bone. RESULTS: X-ray examination had no significant difference between two group animal when le ngthen ended, but X-ray showed lengthened callus was different on day 58. In con trol group, lengthened center had a serial callus and cortex had no formed, in experimental group, lengthened center had serial cortex and transfixial medullar y cavity expect serial callus. Bone density tests with two-energetic X-ray bone density measuring device showed bone density was higher in experimental group th an control group (P
7.Effect of gp120mAb on long-term potentiation inhibited by HIV-1 gp120 in rat hippocampus in vitro
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(05):-
Objective:To explor the effect of gp120mAb on synaptic transmission and plasticity changed by gp120 in the CA 1 region of rat hippocampal slices. Methods:We recorded the excitatory postsynaptic potentials (EPSP) and investigated effect of gp120mAb on long-term potentiation inhibited by gp120 in rat hippocampus in vitro. Results:The results showed that HIV-1 gp120 can inhibit the LTP induced by high-frequence stimulation schaffer in CA 1,gp120 had no effect on basal synaptic transmission.HIV-1 gp120(200 pmol/L) can inhibit the LTP maintance,gp120mAb of gp120-specific antibodies can reverse the inhibition effect,But IgG can't reverse it.Conclusion:The reverse effect of gp120-specific antibody gp120mAb on long-term potentiation inhibited by HIV-1 gp120 may contribute to the HAD pathogenesis.
8.The surgical treatment of varicose veins of lower extremity with primary deep venous insufficiency
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(01):-
0.05). ConclusionsWhen varicose veins of the lower extremity with deep vein insufficiency exists, patients should undergo high ligation and stripping of the great saphenous vein, additional correction of the deep vein reflux provides no further effect.
9.The Production of Interleukin - 1 and Stromelysin in the Cultured Intervertebral Disc Cells of Rabbit.
The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1998;33(3):858-867
The cells of anulus fibrosus(AF) and nucleus pulposus(NP) of intervertebral disc are thought to be different in their cell components and in their roles during degeneration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the differences between the cells of AF and NP when lactate was added to the culture medium. After the monolayer culture of cells from the AF and NP of a rabbit was set up, the cells were divided into three groups and lactate doses of a OmM, 2mM or 5mM were added respectively. The production of interleukin-1(IL-1) and stromelysin were measured by RT-PCR and Southern blot- ting. Both cells of NP and AF produced IL-1. The Southern blot showed that the AF cells produced more IL-1. Stromelysin was produced in both NP cells and AF cells. AF cells produced more stromelysin during the culture and the production of NP cells decreased during the culture. These results suggest that fibroblast-like cells composed of AF are more tolerable of lactate and are more active in production of IL-1 and stromelysin under exposure to lactate. As a result, AF cells are thought to have an important role in intervertebral disc degeneration through the production of IL-1 and stromelysin.

10.Clincial Study on Pathologic Fracture
The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1988;23(2):523-530
The fractures which develop from a already structually damaged or weakened bones are called pathologic fracture and it can be caused by many different diseases. The way of treatment and prognosis of these pathologic fractures differ in many ways according to causative factors. So, regarding frature that developes without definite history of trauma, one shoud approach them with concepts of pathologic fracture. In the cases of pathologic fracture caused by metastatic bone tumors, physicians are employing more aggressive methods of treatment these days. Authors have analysed 87 cases of pathologic fracture who were admitted to department of orthopedic surgery, Severance Hospital during the period of 10 years(from Jan. 1976 to Dec. 1985). Those cases of osteoporosis were all excluded from the study. The conclusion were as follows : 1. There were no discrepancies regarding sexes but 69% of patients were over forty years of age. 2. Fifty percent of pathologic fracture were fractures of femur. 3. Most common causes were metastatic bone tumors(55%), and 36% of these were with unknown primary lesions. 4. In the cases that were caused by metastatic bone tumor, sugical treatment was performed on 46% of these cases. And most cases of patients who were treated with surgical methods improved in pain and ambulation state, especially in patients with use of bone cement.
