1.Physiological response and subjective experience in evoked anger between feminine and masculine women
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2017;31(6):500-504
Objective:To measure the physiological response and subjective experience differences between feminine and masculine women inducing anger, exploring women's susceptibility to depression. Methods:Thirty feminine women and 26 masculine women were selected from 745 college women students who filled in the Chinese College Students'Sex Role Inventory-50 items (CSRI-50),according to median classification method.Physiological response, including heart rate, skin conduct, respiration rate were recorded using Biotrace software from 5-10 min before watching films to films end, state anger were measured before and after films by the State Anger Scale(SAS),one of the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-Ⅱ (STAXI-Ⅱ).Results:With inducing anger, the skin conducts were lower in feminine women than in masculine women[(6.1 ±4.6) μmho vs.(9.4 ±6.0)μmho,P <0.05],while the respiration rates were higher in feminine women than in masculine women[(19.4 ±2.8) bpm vs.(17.7 ± 3.3) bpm,P < 0.05].The SAS sores were higher in feminine women than in masculine women[(31.6 ± 8.8) vs.(26.5 ± 9.2),P < 0.05].Conclusion:It suggests that feminine women subjectively report more anger and physiological responses may be greater in watching anger inducing films, mainly in RSP rate, however masculine women's SC is higher, which indicates that future researches of anger and depression should consider sex role.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(4):329-332
Objective To investigate the effect of pidotimod combined with antiviral drugs on immunologic function and myocardial enzyme spectrum in children with infectious mononucleosis. Methods 94 cases of children with infectious mononucleosis selected in Wenzhou Children's hospital were randomly divided into control group and research group,47 cases in each group. The control group were given conventional antiviral treatment; On this basis, the research group were given pidotimod,2 weeks for one period of treatment. Before and after treatment, immune function, cell factors and myocardial enzyme spectrum were tested, the clinical symptoms, signs, the curative effect and complications were observed and compared. Results Compared with before treatment, after treatment, serum CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ IgA and IgG increased,CD8+ decreased,TNF alpha,IL-6,AST,LDH,CK,CK-MB decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,in the research group,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,IgA and IgG content is higher,CD8+ content is lower, the TNF alpha,IL-6,AST,LDH,CK,CK-MB content is lower(P<0.05).The time of antipyretic, angina fade, narrow lymph nodes, liver and spleen shrinks and length of hospital stay in the research group were shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate was 74.47%in the control group, lower than 91.49%of research group(P<0.05).Conclusion The curative is exact that pidotimod combined with antiviral drugs on the treatment of infectious mononucleosis. It could improve immune function, reduce myocardial enzyme spectrum and inflammation.

Objective To study the activation effect of HBV RNase H protein on the transcription of cellular apoptosis susceptibility gene (CAS). Methods The promoter of DNA sequence of CAS gene was identified in GenBank by bioinformatics and amplified from HepG2 genome by PCR using sense (5′-GGTACCCGATTACATGTTGTACATGAAGG-3′) and antisence (5′-CTCGAGGCTGAGTTCCATTGCTATAG-3′) primers. As these primers contained Kpn I and Xho I recognition sites on their respective 5′-ends, the amplified DNA fragments were tested by sequencing and then subcloned into Kpn I/Xho I sites of pCAT3-Basic reporter vector by routine molecular biological methods. The reconstructed plasmid named pCAT3-CASp was identified by enzyme digestion of Kpn I/Xho I, in which the expression of chloramphenical acetyltransferase (CAT) was under the control of the promoter of CAS. The HepG2 cells were transfected by pCAT3-CASp, and then co-transfected by pCAT3-CASp and pcDNA3.1(-)-RH plasmids. At the same time, the empty pCAT3-basic and pCAT3-TXNRD1p were transfected (self-contructed by the authors) as controls. After 24h culturing, cells were collected and the expression of CAT activity was detected by ELISA according to the manufacturer′s protocol. Results The optical density of expression of CAT of pCAT3-CASp was 0.043 by ELISA, in contrast, the optical density of expression of pCAT3-Basic was 0.024. The expression of CAT in co-transfection of pCAT3-CASp and pcDNA3.1(-)-RH(0.065) was 1.5 times as higher as pCAT3-CASp plasmid (0.043), and 2.7 times as higher as pCAT3-Basic. Conclusions The CAS gene promoter identified in present study has transcription activity and HBV RNase H protein may activate the expression of CAS gene.

UNLABELLEDOBJECTIVE; To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Jiangtang Xiaozhi Capsule (JTXZC) in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) of qi-yin deficiency phlegm-stasis inter-obstruction syndrome (QYDPSIOS), and to observe its effect on inflammatory factors and fibrinolytic factors.
METHODSBy adopting a randomization grouping, parallel control, and prospective study, 73 T2DM patients of QYDPSIOS were assigned to two groups by random digit table, the Pioglitazone Tablet group (36 cases, as the control) and the JTXZC group (37 cases). All patients maintained their basic therapies and lifestyle as previous after recruitment. Patients in the JTXZC group took JTXZC, 4 pills each time, three times per day, while those in control group took Pioglitazone Tablet, 15 mg each time, once daily. The therapeutic course for all was 8 weeks. The body weight (BW), the height, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), hip circumference, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and scoring of Chinese medicine (TCM) symptoms were observed. Levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2 h postprandial blood glucose (2 h PBG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB), and plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAL-1) were detected. The safety indices such as liver and renal functions and adverse reactions were also observed.
RESULTSCompared with before treatment, BW, BMI, HbA1c, and PBG were obviously lower after 8-week treatment than before treatment in the JTXZC group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in post-treatment BW, BMI, HbA1c, or 2 h PBG between the two groups (P < 0.05). Compared with before treatment, levels of TNF-alpha and PAI-1 were lowered after 8 weeks of treatment in both groups (P < 0.01). The level of NF-kappaB was obviously lowered after 8 weeks of treatment in the control groups (P < 0.05), but it also decreased in the JTXZC group with no statistical difference. The scorings of CM symptoms were somewhat improved after treatment in the two groups (P < 0.01). Besides, better effects were obtained in the JTXZC group (P < 0.05). No severe adverse event occurred in either group during the whole therapeutic course.
CONCLUSIONSJTXZC showed similar therapeutic effect to pioglitazone. Both of them could effectively improve patients' clinical symptoms, the inflammation and fibrinolytic activities in different pathways, with no severe adverse reaction.
