3.Feasibility study of differentiation of invitro induced rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells into retinal pigment epithelial cells

Objective To investigate the feasibility of differentiation of invitro induced rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(rMSCs) into retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells.Methods The rMSCs from Brwon-Norway (BN) rats were isolated and cultured by adherent screening method.RPE cells lysate made by repeated freeze-thawing was put into the rMSCs culture system to identify whether the induced cells could express characteristic label cytokeratin(CK)and S-100 simultaneously or not.Results The growth rate of rMSCs induced by RPE cells lysate was slower and protuberant burr surrounded the fusiform cells.The results of immunoblotting and double immunofluorescence showed that partial induced cells expressed CK and S-100 simultaneously.The result of flow cytometry indicated that 14.1% induced cells expressed CK and S-100 simultaneously.Conclusion Induced by RPE cells lysate,rMSCs can differentiate into RPE cells.
4.Application value of delta-shaped anastomosis in digestive tract reconstruction following total laparoscopic distal gastrectomy

The delta-shaped anastomosis is an emerging operation method in digestive tract reconstruction following total laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (TLDG).With the advantages of small surgical trauma,short anastomosis time and simple manipulation,it has been gradually accepted by surgeons.However,restricted by small manipulation range,restrictive visual range and large anastomotic lumen,there are controversies in complete resection of tumor,intraoperative indexes,postoperative recovery and prevention and treatment of complications about TLDG with delta-shaped anastomosis.In this paper,the operative indications,intraoperative indexes and postoperative recovery of TLDG with delta-shaped anastomosis were reviewed.
5.Drug-resistance of Commonly Encountered Pathogens from Nosocomial Infection

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of pathogens from nosocomial infection,and provide reference for the clinical rational use of drugs.METHODS Flora authentication and bacteriostatic test were operated routinely and with microorganism automatic identifier,and supplement bacteriostatic test was operated with Kirby-Bauer method if necessary.Results were judged according to the standard of NCCLS.RESULTS Totally 5 487 pathogens were mainly from phlegm,urine,blood and secretion;the most commonly encountered pathogens were Escherichia coli,Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter,Staphylococcus aureus and S.epidermidis.The rates were 25.1%,18.6%,8.9%,8.4% and 2.9%,respectively;the rates of drug-resistance to sulperazon and imipenem were all below 22.1%.The positive rates of ESBLs from E.coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterobacter cloacae were from 17.3% to 30.3%;Gram-positive cocci′s amikacin-resistant rate and vancomycin-resistant rate were below 7.2% and 2.2%,respectively.CONCLUSIONS E.coli,P.aeruginosa,Acinetobacter,S.epidermidis and Candida albicans are the main pathogens from nosocomial infection;vancomycin is the first choice to treat meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus;sulperazon and imipenem are the first choice to treat zymogenic bacteria and non-fermentative bacilli infection.
6.Palm Area as a Ratio of Body Surface Area in Chinese Adult Male Population

Objective To analyze palm ratio of body surface area (B SA ) based on the body different surface area form ula. Methods Forty-four Chinese adult m ales w ere selected in this study. The contour of left single palm w as recorded and the palm area w as calculated by cut-paper w eighing m ethod. The body surface w as calculated by the height and w eight based on 12 form ulas of body surface area. Then, the palm ratio of BSA w as calculated. Results The average palm ratio of BSA w as (0.789±0.075)% . The data show ed statistically significant difference com pared with the traditional ratio (1% ) (P<0.05). Conclusion The ratio of B SA in Chinese adult m ale population show ed m ore accuracy com pared with the traditional ratio in this present study. The forensic evaluation can be affected by using the different ratio of B SA .
7.Study on the correlation of stereometric nuclear volume with histological grading in the prognosis of osteoblastic sarcoma

Twenty cases of osteoblastic sarcoma were studied retrospectively with the stereometric method in order to provide objective morphometric data for the histological grading of the tumor.After standard fixation,embedding,sectioning and hematoxylin eosin staining,the average nuclear volume Vv was determined with the formula as follows;In the formula,Lo stands for the distance between 2 points resulting from the interception of a testing line through a nucleus.It was found that the Vv of osteoblastic sarcoma varied from 85 to 765?m3 and was consistent to the prognosis predicted with the Price's grading of sarcoma.It is believed that the determination of the stereomtric nuclear volume of osteoblastic sarcoma is able to provide an objective criterion for the prognosis of the tumor.
8.Expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the brain of old rats after chronic cerebral perfusion deficiency

Objective To explore the roles of expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the brain of old rats after chronic cerebral perfusion deficiency in the pathogenesis of vascular dementia. Methods Rat model of vascular dementia was established by modified Pulsinelli 4 vessel occlusion (4VO) and divided into 3d (3 d), 1 week (1 w), 2 weeks (2 w), 4 weeks (4 w) and 2 months (2 m) groups. Computer controlled initiative avoidance response shuttle box system was used to test the learning and memory capacity of rats. Immunohistochemical method was used to examine the expression of BDNF in CA1 region of the hippocampus and cortex of temporal and frontal lobe. Results Compared with those in control group, BDNF positive cells in CA1 region were decreased significantly in 4VO 1 w group ( P 0 05). The average palm ratio of BSA was (0.789 ± 0.075)%. The data showed statistically significant difference compared with the traditional ratio (1%) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
The ratio of BSA in Chinese adult male population showed more accuracy compared with the traditional ratio in this present study. The forensic evaluation can be affected by using the different ratio of BSA.
