Objective To study the function of aminophenylboronic acid(APB)and clavulanate(CA)for detecting ESBLs in Enterobacter cloacae. Methods The phenotype of ESBLs of 61 Enterobacter cloacae isolates was detected with adding single beta-lactamase inhibitor CA to ceftazidime(CAZ)and cefotaxime(CTX),and double beta-lactamase inhibitors CA/APB to ceftazidime(CAZ)and cefotaxime(CTX)respectively.PCR was used to detect ESBLs genes of 61 Enterobacter cloacae isolates. The results of the enzymatic inhibitor potentiation test and PCR were compared and analyzed. Results With adding single enzymatic inhibitor CA to CAZ,28 isolates of Enterobacter cloacae producing ESBLs were detected, while 14 isolates were detected with adding CA to CTX.With adding double enzymatic inhibitors CA/APB to CAZ,28 isolates of Enterobacter cloacae producing ESBLs were detected, while 44 isolates were detected with adding CA/APB to CTX.By PCR positive ESBLs genes were detected in 47 isolates of Enterobacter cloacaes. Conclusions The potentiation test with double beta-lactamase inhibtion can be used to detect ESBLs in Enterobacter cloacae.

Object To study the variation of total flavonoids in Erigeron breviscapus (Vant.) Hand.-Mazz. with the development periods, the months, the affection of the environment and genetical factors on the total flavonoids. Methods The total flavonoids in organs of E. breviscapus during the different deve-lopment periods and the months were determined. The total flavonoids of E. breviscapus in the sunny and shady habitats and the total flavonoids of E. breviscapus with different colors were compared. Results The total flavonoids of E. breviscapus mainly existed in the ground part. The total flavonoids of E. breviscapus are the highest in its flourishing period, and the lowest in its withering period. The variety of the total flavonoids in every organs of E. breviscapus in flourishing period from April to June was not significant. Illumination intensity had little affection to the total flavonoids of E. breviscapus. The colors of E. breviscapus flowers could not be the selected markers for the total flavonoids. The genetic factor played an important role in deciding the difference of the total flavonoids among the individuals. Conclusion It will be optimistic to improve the total flavonoids in E. breviscapus by genetic breeding.

Objective To explore the clinical application and value of percutaneous treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts guided by CT.Methods The percutaneous external draining of pancreatic pseudocyst caused by various causes was performed under CT guidance in 29 cases, including 21 males and 8 females, age from 22 to 71 years, average (48.2?13.6) years. After the point, the angle, and the depth of puncture were measured on CT images, pseudocyst puncture and catheterization of external draining were made and followed up. Results 30 procedures of puncture in 29 lesions were done, the successful rate was 100%. Puncture path included frontal in 17 cases(18 times of puncture), lateral in 8 cases ; back in 4 cases, and 30 drainage catheters were placed. All cases were followed up except one case, follow up time ranged from 1 to 20 months [average (8 07?4 04) months]. Following disappearance of pseudocyst, catheters were extracted in 19 cases except 2 cases with pseudocyst recurrance. Follow up time from 4 to 14 months[average (8.29?4.03) months]. 5 cases had surgerical operations again after draining 1-4 months, 4 cases were still being followed up. The effective rate of therapy was 65.52%(19/29). Conclusion The technique of percutaneous catheter external draining of pancreatic pseudocyst guided by CT is mildly invasive and simple, and has high successful rate.
