1.An experimental study of the diagnosing value to nude mice model of transplanted human gastric cancer with folate-receptor MR contrast agent

Objective To evaluate the tumor targeting characteristic by observing signal varying of human gastric cancer transplanted nude mice (SGC-7901) using Folate-Receptor MR contrast agent. Methods As a Folate-Receptor MR contrast agent, Gd-DTPA-Folate was obtained by conjugation of DTPA-Folate and GdCl3 under specific conditions. Nude mice of subcutaneously transplanted human gastric cancer (SGC-7901) were used as animal models, 12 mice were divided into experimental group(n=6) and control group(n=6) randomly. Both were injected with Gd-DTPA-Folate and Gd-DTPA (contained same gadolinium) via abdominal cavity respectively. Tumor signal varying was observed by T1WI after injection of contrast agent immediately,1,2,3,4,6,12 and 24 h, and tumor signal changing of experimental group was compared with that of control group. CNR (contrast noise ratio) was regarded as evaluating mark. Results Tumor signal intensity of experimental group was increased evidently between 1-2 hours after injecting Gd-DTPA-Folate. Comparison with pre-injection, there was a significant difference(evaluating mark is CNR: q1=5.80, q2=4.64; P0.05). Conclusion Gd-DTPA-Folate shows definite characteristic of tumor targeting effect to nude mice of subcutaneously transplanted human gastric cancer (SGC-7901).
2.Exploration of neonatology clinical probation teaching for eight-year program medical students

Neonatology probation teaching is one of the difficulties in eight-year program pediatric teaching.There are some problems in the neonatology probation teaching,including partial comprehension of neonatal basic theoretical knowledge,few opportunities of clinical operations and observation,lack of effective physician-patient communication method,defective mastering of neonatal clinics skills.In order to refine the neonatology probation of eight-year program medical students and to improve the quality of hospitals' clinical teaching,an appropriate neonatology clerkship program of eightyear medical students should be investigated.A variety of teaching methods should be applied to enhance students' interest of learning the basic theory.Before entering the neonatal ward,it is necessary for eight-year program medical students to understand the workflow and a standard appraisal system should be established.At the same time,it is essential to strengthen the training of their interpersonal communication skills,clinical thinking and clinical skills.Finally,a standard out-department examination system should be established to evaluate the eight-year program medical students' neonatology learning effect objectively.

4.Research progress of stem cells in hair follicle regeneration

BACKGROUND:Stem cel s have the potential to differentiate into various organs and tissues. In recent years, stem cel s have been proved to differentiate into hair fol icles under certain conditions. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress and prospect of stem cel s differentiating to hair fol icles, thereby providing a reliable basis for clinical treatment of serious hair fol icle injury. METHODS:A computer-based search of PubMed, EMBASE, WanFang, CNKI databases was performed for related articles published between 2013 and 2015, using the keywords of“cel hair, fol icle stem, medicine regenerative, differentiation”in English and Chinese. A total of 207 articles were retrieved, and final y 34 articles were included in result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Stem cel s from different sources al have the ability to differentiate into hair fol icles under certain inductions. However, it is important to seek more scientific and rational methods for the differentiation of stem cel s into hair fol icles based on overcoming their own shortcomings. A great progress has been made in animal experiments and subclinical trials, and even a great breakthrough in some aspects. Further studies on combining the advantages and overcoming the shortcomings of various stem cel s during differentiation are required for the clinical treatment of serious hair fol icle injury.

6.The effect of hypothermia on cytokine expression in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome

Objective To investigate the effect of hypothermia on cytokine expression in rats with lipopolysaccharide- induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and investigate whether or not hypothermia can inhibit inflammatory reaction and attenuated lung injuries, thereby preventing the development of ARDS. Methods A rat model of ARDS was established by intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide (3 mg/ kg, 0.5 ml, LPS) at 16 h after LPS (1 mg/kg, 0.3 ml) intraperitoneal administration. Thirty-two male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: ARDS + Normalthermia (AN) , ARDS + Hypothermia (AH) , NS+ Normalthermia (NN), and NS + Hypothermia (NH) groups. At 3 h after ARDS, rats were killed by hemorrhage from carotid artery. Lung lavage was performed, tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF-?) , interleukin-6 (IL-6) concentrations in BALF were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) .Results Within (2.3?1.6) h the ARDS model in AN group and AH group was successfully replicated. Compared with the NN group, the concentrations of TNF-? and IL-6 increased significantly in the AN group ( P 0.05). Conclusion Hypothermia has inhibitory effect on the expression and release of the pro-inflammatory cytokine (TNF-?, IL-6) in rats with ARDS. Hypothermia may inhibit inflammatory reaction, attenuated lung injuries and serve as a new measure to prevent and treat ARDS.
7.Experimental observation of influence of tibial plateau fracture on meniscus repair

[Objective]Tibial plateau fracture may be combined with soft tissue injuries including menisci injuries, but what tibial plateau fractures influence on meniscus healing has never been reported. This study is to observe the influence on menisci healing caused by knee variation when tibial fracture occurred by making animal models.[Method]Lateral tibial plateau fracture models and non-full-thickness laceratin and perforation defect of menisci models were made in 12 New Zealand rabbits, along with control group without fractures. The differences of menisci healing between two groups were observed with morphological and light microscopic observation after 12 weeks.[Result]No menisci repair in avascular portion could be found in both groups, menisci laceration within vascular portion had repaired the fissures in both groups, and hardly been distinguished from normal tissue. Perforation defect in one third of lateral side coulc be partially filled with protein clot in tibial plateau fractures group.[Conclusion]No evidence revealed that fracture could prevent menisci healing when tibial plateau fractures combined with menisci injury, however, defects of menisci may get advantage of filling tissue from fracture. It still need further research whether it is good for menisci healing or not.
8.Intravitreal Conbercept for treatment of choroidal neovascularization secondary to pathologic myopia

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of intravitreal injections of conbercept in choroidal neovascularization (CNV) secondary to pathologic myopia (PM).Methods A retrospective case series of 37 eyes of 37 patients affected with CNV secondary to PM treated by intravitreal injections of Conbercept.All the patients were examined with best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) chart,central macular thickness (CMT) of optical coherence tomography (OCT) at baseline.The initial average letters of ETDRS BCVA was 49.86±8.87,CMT was (306.38±31.01) μm.All eyes were treated with intravitreal Conbercept 0.05 ml (10 mg/ml).Follow up visits were performed monthly after injection.The mean follow-up time was 16.8 months.Injections were repeated according to the situation of BCVA,CMT,subretinal fluid and CNV leakage in follow-up.All eyes received an average of 4.8 injections.BCVA,CMT and ophthalmoscope examination were assessed monthly.The relationship of BCVA improvement and CMT reduction with the data at baseline and number of treatments were analyzed by Spearman Rho correlation respectively.Results During the 1,3,6 and 12 months after treatment,the mean BCVA were all improved with statistically significant difference (t=17.629,P<0.01).At 12 months,15 eyes (45.9%) had improvement of 15 letters or more,32 eyes (86.5%) had improvement of 5 letters or more,and 1 eye (2.7%) had decreased more than 5 letters.During the 1,3,6 and 12 months after treatment,the mean CMT were all decreased with statistically significant difference (F=43.726,P<0.01).At 12 months,the retinal fluid of 34 eyes (91.9%) were absorbed completely;33 eyes (89.2%) had angiographic closure at that time.There was no significant relevance between BCVA improvement and sex,age and course of the disease (P>0.05),but a significant negative correlation was found between the BCVA improvement and BCVA at baseline,injection times (P<0.05).There was no significant relevance between CMT reduction and sex,age,course of the disease and injection times (P>0.05),but a significant positive correlation was found between CMT reduction and CMT at baseline (P<0.05).There were no systemic or ocular serious side effects during the follow up.Conclusions Intravitreal injections of Conbercept showed BCVA improvement and CMT reduction.It appeared to be effective and safe for choroidal neovascularization secondary to pathologic myopia.Intravitreal Conbercept for CNV secondary to PM showed BCVA improvement,CMT reduction and safety.
9.Effects of nucleos(t)ide analogues initial treatment on virology and complications in hepatitis B virus related decompensated liver cirrhosis: a multicenter, prospective and observational study

Objective To evaluate the effects of nucleos (t)ide analogues initial treatment on virology and complications in hepatitis B virus (HBV) related decompensated liver cirrhosis.Methods From May 2012 to October 2013,a total of 209 patients with HBV related decompensated liver cirrhosis of 18 hospitals in China were enrolled.According to antiviral medicine taken by them,they were divided into entecavir (ETV) group (n =161),lamivudine (LAM) monotherapy or combined with adefovir (ADV)group (n=48,LAM 22 cases,LAM+ADV 26 cases).During the 12-month follow up period,ChildPugh scores,the level of HBV DNA and complications of liver cirrhosis were documented every three months,the safety evaluation was also carried out.The t-test or chi-square test was performed for statistical analysis.Results In ETV group,before treatment and 12 months after treatment,Child-Pugh scores were 7.91±2.05 and 5.75±1.72,respectively,and the latter was lower than the former (t=10.130,P<0.01); in LAM alone or combined with ADV group,Child-Pugh scores were 8.08±2.23 and 5.85±1.44,respectively,and the latter was lower than the former (t=5.480,P<0.01).However there was no significant difference in Child-Pugh scores between the two groups in different time points (both P>0.05).The undetectable rates of HBV DNA gradually increased along with the treatment period.After 12 months treatment,the undetectable rate of HBV DNA of ETV group was 91.0% (61/67),and that of LAM alone or combined with ADV group was 87.5% (35/40),there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Before treatment and 12 months after treatment,the incidences of ascites were 59.4% (82/138) and 15.0% (12/80) in ETV group,the latter was lower than the former (x2 =40.740,P<0.01) ; the incidences of ascites in LAM alone or combined with ADV group were 62.2% (28/45) and 8.1% (3/37),and the latter was lower than the former (x2=25.290,P< 0.01).After 12 months treatment,the rates of esophageal varices disappearance of ETV group and LAM alone or combined with ADV group were 26.6% (33/124) and 25.0% (7/28),accordingly the rates of gastric varices disappearance were 2.5% (1/40) and 1/19,and the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups (both P>0.05).There was no significant difference in serum urea nitrogen,serum creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rates between the two groups before treatment and at different time points after treatment (all P>0.05).Conclusion The efficacy and safety of ETV and LAM alone or combined with ADV are similar in patients with HBV related decompensated liver cirrhosis,however,the long-term efficacy should be identified by further clinical observation.
10.A statement of possibility of acupuncturing Shuigou improves neural function prognosis in patients after cardiac arrest

This paper focuses on the total cerebral ischemic injury after cardiac arrest (CA), the authors analyze how acupuncture improves neurological impairment and the prognosis after CA from the perspectives of traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern research achievements of acupuncture on Shuigou. It should take into consideration of three factors in both basic and clinical study: the time and link of intervention, mechanism, optimization of stimulating parameters in order to clear the direction of acupuncturing Shuigou improves the neural functional recovery after CA.
