BACKGROUND:With the continuous development and progress of medical model, the treatment and rehabilitation recovery from peripheral nerve defects needs higher requirements; therefore, stem cel culture-based nerve tissue engineering technology provides a new strategy for nerve defect repair. OBJECTIVE:To explore the feasibility of combining bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels and new nerve conduits to repair peripheral nerve defects. METHODS:Fifty New Zealand white rabbits, clean grade, were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 25 rabbits in each group. Animal models of peripheral nerve defects were made about 15 mm distant to the middle segment of the radius of the rabbit foreleg. At 1 week after modeling, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels/new nerve conduit composite material was implanted into the defect in the experimental group; and in the control group, only bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels were transplantation. At 4 weeks after transplantation, a 5-mm nerve fiber was taken from the defect site, stained with hematoxylin-eosin and observed under scanning electron microscope. Density and diameter of regenerated nerve fibers were compared between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the control group, the density of nerve fibers was significantly higher in the experimental group, but the diameter of nerve fibers was significantly lower (P < 0.05). There were more cels with good growth, large size and many processes on the surface of regenerated nerve tissues in the experimental group than the control group. Moreover, in the experimental group, interconnected cels were woven into a mesh and the axons were longer and thicker, both of which were the performance of typical neuron-like cels. Taken together, the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels/new nerve conduit composite material can be used for peripheral nerve repair and present exact achievements.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of different treatment on prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc. Methods 169 patients with prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc were divided into two groups, the contral group treated with traction and massage, and the comprehensive group treated with acupuncture, physical therapy, and phsiotherapy besides traction and massage. The assessment included index and rate in improvement and efficiency of rehabilitation. Results The index and rate in improvement and efficiency of rehabilitation is better in the comprehensive group than in the contral group. The course of treatment in the comprehensive group is shorter than that in the contral group.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS:The calculation was carried out in type,amount and consumption sum of Chinese patent medicines containing Salvia miltiorrhiza in our hospital during 2011-2014. These data were analyzed,classified and sorted by DDDs sequence and the method of pharma-coeconomics with Excel statistically. RESULTS:The consumption sum of Chinese patent medicines containing S. miltiorrhiza took on little changes in our hospital dur-ing 2011-2014,decreasing by 10.52% in 2012 compared to 2011 but increasing by 8.49% in 2013 compared to 2012. The order of DDDs kept stable,indicating that Chinese patent medicines containing S. miltiorrhiza were used frequently in 4 year. The order of consumption sum also kept stable relatively. CONCLUSIONS:The utilization of Chinese patent medicines containing S. miltiorrhi-za in our hospital is rational. Those with suitable prices and proved efficacy take a great share in the clinical application.

Objective To study the change of Th1, Th2 cytokine levels in culture supernatants of PBMC in pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Methods 43 PIH patients, 15 normal pregnant women, and 15 healthy non-pregnant women were studied randomly. Levels of IL-2?IFN? and IL-4 in culture supernatants of PBMC were detected by ELISA. Objective To Observe the effects of tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF ?) on cell proliferation and Intracellular free calcium concentraction ([Ca 2+ ]i) in endothelium of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) and investigate the pathogenesis of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome (PIH). Methods Confluent monolayer of HUVEC was directly incubated with TNF ? at following final concentrations: 500, 1 000, 2 000 U/ml for 24 hours. The percentages of different cellcycles and [Ca 2+ ]i were measured by flow cytometry and fluorospectrophotometry. Results Incubated with TNF ?, the endothelial cells were elongated and transformed into fibroblast like cells. Border of nucleus was sharp, clarity, and cells were in regular shape. But there were abnormal granules in cytoplasma and some cells detached at the concentrotion of 2 000 U/ml of TNF ?. Stimulated by TNF ?, the percentage of cellcycles from phase G 0+G 1 to S and G 2+M decreased significantly and it was dose dependent. [Ca 2+ ]i increased significantly and dose dependent as well. Conclusion TNF ? may injure endothelium directly and inhibit its proliferation and repair through the changes of [Ca 2+ ]i level. It may play an important role in the pathogenesis of PIH.

Objective To prepare the Pt/CeO2/GAC catalyst used to catalyze oxidation of condensate wastewater and to investigate whether the doping of Ce can increase catalytic activity for oxidizing condensate wastewater.Methods Impregnation glycol reduction method was adopted to prepare Pt/CeO2/GAC catalyst,and it was characterized by BET,XPS and XRD.The catalytic activity was determined by batch experiment.Results The experimental results revealed that more than 93.4% of ethanol in the condensate wastewater was oxidized to aldehyde and acetic acid with 13.33 g?L-1 Pt/CeO2/GAC catalyst dose,for 2 h reaction time,at 40 ℃ and normal pressure.In contrast,the oxidation efficiency was only 85.0% with Pt/GAC catalyst without doping Ce in the same reaction condition.Conclusion It is proven that the doping of Ce in Pt/GAC improves the catalytic activity.The characterization of Pt/CeO2/GAC catalyst shows that Ce is presented as Ce4+ that not only increases the content of chemisorbed oxygen on the surface of the catalyst,but also increases the content of Pt greatly.

Objective To evaluate the impact of sub-stage on the clinical prognosis of T 1 G3 and evaluate the feasibility of the T1me system in pT1G3 sub-staging.Methods The clinical data,pathological specimen and follow-up data were collected from 56 patients out of 87 patients diagnosed with initial high-grade T1 bladder urothelial carcinoma .The patients were divided into Group A [ T1-microinvasive (T1m),17 cases] and group B [T1-extensive-invasive (T1e),39 cases] according to pathological evaluation after transurethral resection.Clinical parameters were analyzed with Chi-square test,and recurrence-free and progression free survival were obtained by Kaplan-Meier analysis and Log-rank test.Results Age,tumor size,number and intravesical instilled medication showed no significant differences between the 2 groups ( P>0.05 ) .There were significant differences of 5-year recurrence-free rate ( P =0.037 ) and progression-free survival rate ( P =0.045 ) between the 2 groups, and the prognosis of group A was significantly better than that of group B .Conclusion The pathological sub-stage is an important predictor in initial high-grade T1 bladder urothelial carcinoma patients , and the T1me system is objective and feasible.

purpose To construct the expression vector of Hexastatin gene,to express and to purify the recombinant protein for further activity research.Methods The human Hexastatin gene was isolated by RT-PCR from EC9706 cells total RNA and cloned into pMDl8-T for sequencing.Then the Hexastatin gene was subcloned into pMAL-c4x expression vector and induced to express by IPTG.The recombinant fusion protein was purified with Amylose Resin Heads.Results RT-PCR product was about 687 bp and its sequence was the same as that of Hexastatin reported.The recombinant protein was expressed in E.coli BL21 with high level and the soluble protein accounted for 24.8% of the total bacterial protein,The purification of recombinant protein purified with Amylose Resin Heads reached more than 90%.Conclusion The cloning,expression and purification of human Hexastatin have laid a foundation for its anti-angiogenesis therapy for tumor.
