1. Cytological diagnosis of one burn patient with cicatrix carcinoma after amputation combined with right thigh proximal medial metastasis
Chinese Journal of Burns 2020;36(1):64-66
On 18th October 2018, a 49 years old man with right thigh proximal medial swelling and pain was received in the Department of Pathology, People′s Hospital of Deyang of Sichuan Province. The patient had experienced amputation twice because of burn in right lower limb 46 years ago. Cicatricial squamous cell carcinoma metastasis in right thigh proximal medial was diagnosed by fine needle aspiration cytology in our hospital. The wound remained ulcered and unhealed after biopsy in a higher level hospital. The patient died in ten days after first chemotherapy which was required by the patient. This case suggests that clinician should perform pathological examination on burn patients with scar ulcer as soon as possible to avoid delay in treatment, which may cause carcinogenesis deterioration and metastasis.

Objective To explore the risk factors for renal anemia in hemodialysis patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Methods A total of 48 ESKD patients undergoing hemodialysis in our hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as study objects. They were divided into renal anemia group (86 cases) and non-anemia group (62 cases) based on hemoglobin (Hb) levels and diagnostic criteria for renal anemia. Clinical data between the two groups were compared. Random forest algorithm and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to screen for factors influencing renal anemia, and a multivariate Logistic regression model was established. Cross-validation was also employed to verify the stability of the model. A risk stratification system was developed, and patients were stratified based on cut-off values obtained from X-Tile software. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to evaluate the discrimination ability of the multivariate Logistic regression model and the risk stratification system. Results Among 148 ESKD patients, the incidence of renal anemia was 58.11% (86/148). Hypertension, increased neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), elevated C-reactive protein (CRP), increased serum ferritin (SF), and elevated intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) were identified as risk factors for renal anemia (

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2017;25(1):104-109
OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of KCa3.1 channel inhibitor TRAM-34 on the proliferation and invasion of leukemia cell line HL-60.
METHODSHL-60 cells at logarithmic growth phase exposed to TRAM-34 at the final concentration of 25, 50, 75 and 100 nmol/L were used as experimental group. The HL-60 cells of control group was cultured in 10% fetal bovine serum-RPMI 1640. The proliferation inhibition rate of TRAM-34 on HL-60 cells was detected by adding MTT solution after 24, 48 and 72 h culture. The cell apoptotic rate and cell cycle distribution of HL-60 cells treated with TRAM-34 were evaluated by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC/propidium iodide(PI) double staining or PI single staining. The number of transmembrane cells was detected by Transwell at 24 and 48 h after treatment with TRAM-34. The effect of TRAM-34 on CDK6, P53 and MMP-2 mRNA level was detected by real-time quantitative PCR.
RESULTSCompared with the control group (0 nmol/L), the inhibition rate, apoptosis rate, G/Gphase cell proportion and P53 mRNA level all increased, but the percentages of cells in S phase, cell number penetrating the membrane and mRNA levels of CDK6 and MMP-2 in the TRAM-34-treated group decreased (P<0.05) except for 24 h proliferation rate of TRAM-34 at low concentration (25 nmol/L). The effect of TRAM-34 on the above indices was enhanced with the increase of concentration and prolongation of time, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONTRAM-34 can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of HL-60 cells, and can induce cell apoptosis and G/Garrest. The time and concentration of TRAM-34 have effect on the malignant behavior of HL-60 cells.

Objective To develop"guideline for risk assessment and prevention of noninvasive ventilation related facial pressure injuries in adults"and to provide a reference for clinical medical staff to evaluate and prevent noninvasive ventilation related facial pressure injuries. Methods Referring to the"WHO Guideline Development Manual",clinical problems were formed through 3 rounds of Delphi expert consultation. The relevant recommendation opinions and evidence were screened, extracted, integrated and evaluated to form a draft consensus.Through a round of Delphi expert consultation and a round of expert consensus meeting, expert opinions were combined to modify and improve the content of each item to form a final draft of the expert consensus. Results Recommendations for the constructed guideline included 7 aspects of risk factors,high-risk sites, assessment tools, assessment timing and content, selection of non-invasive ventilation equipment, selection of dressings, and preventive measures, including 7 clinical questions and 15 recommendations. Conclusion The"guideline for risk assessment and prevention of noninvasive ventilation related facial pressure injuries in adults"was an evidence-based guideline based on the best evidence,Chinese clinical reality, and professional judgment, and it can provide practice bases for scientific clinical decisions making by clinical medical staff and managers.

PURPOSE:
Evidence suggests that the oxytocin receptor (OXTR) gene may be involved in the psychopathology of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This study aimed to investigate the effects of OXTR rs53576 genotype on PTSD symptoms introduced in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, Fifth Edition (DSM-5).
METHODS:
This study was a cross-sectional study conducted among 1140 adults who had personally experienced the Wenchuan earthquake. PTSD symptoms were measured with the PTSD checklist for DSM-5. A custom-by-design 2 × 48-Plex SNPscan
RESULTS:
The results revealed that the rs53576 genotype could significantly predict PTSD symptoms (β = 0.055, p = 0.045). Further analysis showed that the rs53576 genotype was only significantly associated with dysphoric arousal symptoms of PTSD (β = 0.080, p = 0.005). The rs53576 genotype × earthquake exposure interaction had no significant effect on different symptom clusters (p > 0.05).
CONCLUSION
This study showed that the rs53576 genotype was only associated with the dysphoric arousal symptoms but not with other symptom clusters of PTSD. These findings support the role of the OXTR on the psychopathology of PTSD and help us to understand the genetic basis of PTSD.
