1.Micron traditional Chinese medicine functional lining material:activating blood circulation and promoting fracture healing

BACKGROUND:As a new self-synthetized medical orthopedic fixation material, micron traditional Chinese medicine functional lining material can promote the secretion of alkaline phosphatase and cal us formation, decrease serum calcium level, as wel as increase serum phosphorus level and calcium-phosphorus product. OBJECTIVE:To further verify the therapeutic effect of micron traditional Chinese medicine functional lining material on fracture healing. METHODS:Twenty-four New Zealand rabbits were selected to prepare models of right radial fracture, and then were randomly al ocated into four groups:rabbits in micron group were treated with micron traditional Chinese medicine functional lining material (micron Panax notoginseng powder mixed with active ingredients of Daval ia divaricata and Carthamus tinctoriousplus) plus plaster external fixation;those in traditional Chinese medicine control group treated with ordinary Chinese medicine functional material plus plaster external fixation;those in lining material control group treated with ordinary lining material (sterile degreasing cotton) plus plaster external fixation;those in model control group received no treatment. The whole blood viscosity at high/middle/low shear rates and plasma viscosity were detected at 2, 4 and 6 weeks before and after modeling. Additional y, rabbits in each group were kil ed at 6 weeks after modeling, and radial samples were removed for histological observation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The whole blood viscosity at high/middle/low shear rates and plasma viscosity in the micron group were al lower than those in the other three groups in the same period, and had significant differences from those in the model control group at 4 and 6 weeks after modeling (P<0.05 or 0.01). A large number of osteoblasts could be found, woven bone began to form and the bone marrow cavity was recanalized in the micron group;in the traditional Chinese medicine group, woven bone, chondrocytes and endochondral ossification coexisted and there was a connection between cal uses inside and outside of the broken end, but the bone marrow cavity was not recanalized. In contrast, neither connection between cal uses inside and outside of the broken end, nor recanalized bone marrow cavity appeared in the lining material and model control groups. In conclusion, micron traditional Chinese medicine functional lining material can promote fracture healing by improving microcirculation and accelerating osteoblast proliferation.

As an active oxygen, ozone can induce oxidative stress, however, small doses of ozone pretreatment of the body may devel-op to oxidation toleration, even anti-oxidative damage, thereby protecting organ from ischemia-reperfusion injury. This paper reviewed the status of ozone pretreatment in organ ischemia-reperfusion, such as heart, kidney, liver, skeletal muscle, gonads and brain. Ozone therapy may have potential application values in organ transplants and cardiovascular diseases. Meanwhile, whether clinical application of ozone big autohemotherapy in ischemic cerebrovascular disease is reasonable or not in nearly 10 years was put forward.

Objective To explore the methods for training the abitity of critical thinking of ICU nurses.Methods ICU nurses were trained in terms of knowledge training, case study, care rounds, self-reflection, case discussion, simulation training and seminars. The Chinese version of the critical thinking disposition inventory(CTDI-CV)was used before and one year after the training.Result The scores on CTDI-CV as well as the items after training were all significantly higher than that before training(P<0.05).Conclusion The knowledge and ability in critical thinking can be improved by knowledge and skills training.
5.The effect of EBV latent membrane protein 1 on proliferation and cell cycle of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells

AIM:To investigate the effect of Epstain-Barr virus latent membrane protein 1 (EBV-LMP1) on proliferation and cell cycle of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells. METHODS:The expression of EBV-LMP1 was detected by immunohistochemical method (LSAB). Proliferation of NPC cells was identified by MTT method. Cell cycle percentage was detected by flow cytometry analysis. RESULTS: OD value of EBV-LMP1 expressive NPC cells L-CEN1 was much higher than that of both EBV-LMP1 negative NPC cells V-CEN1 and CNE1 ( P 0.05).CONCLUSION:The expression of EBV-LMP1 on NPC cell might cause some change of cell cycle and enhance cell proliferation.

AIM: To explore the effect of EBV infection on growth and apoptosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) cell line.METHODS: NPC cell line CNE1 was directly infected by Epstein Barr virus (EBV). The expression of EBV-latent membrane protein 1 (EBV-LMP1) and bcl-2 were detected by immunohistochemistry method (LSAB). The growth of NPC cells was identified by MTT method. Objective To compare the immunoregulatory effects of Radix Millettia Speciosa (RM Speciosa) and Radix Millettia Championi (RM Championi)on immunosuppressed mice.Methods Kunming mice were randomly divided into normal control group,CTX model group,LMS positive group,RM Speciosa groups and RM Championi groups (20,10 and 5 g/kg).The mice were treated respectively with drug or NS once a day for consecutive 20 days.Mice in the other groups were injected intraperitoneally with CTX at days 8,10 and 12 to establish immunosuppressed mice model except the normal group.The changes of body weight,immune organ weight,white blood cell (WBC)number,carbon particle clearance capability of macrophages and delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH)of mice in all groups were determined and compared.Results Compared with that in CTX group,the WBC number was significantly increased (P<0.01 or P<0.05)and the degree of DTH (P<0.01) was enhanced at different doses in RM Speciosa groups and RM Championi groups.The activity of macrophages and the index of thymus and spleen were also improved in the treatment groups (P<0 .0 5 or P<0 .0 1 ).The index of thymus and the degree of DTH in RM Speciosa groups (20 and 10 g/kg)were slightly higher than those in the corresponding RM Championi groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05).For other indicators,RM Speciosa groups did not significantly differ from RM Championi groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Both RM Speciosa and RM Championi can improve the immune function of CTX-induced immunosuppressed mice,and RM Speciosa is slightly superior to RM Championi in improving specific cellular immunity.
8.The determination and analysis of CRP and PLT for patients with acute myocardium infarction

Objective Testing the CRP and PLT for patients with acute myocardium infarction(AMI) .Analysising the relation‐ship between AMI and CPR or PLT .Methods We chose 60 patients with AMI who treat in our hospital during 2012/11 and 2014/10 as an observation group .As the same time ,we also chose 60 healthy person as a comparison group .Testing the CRP and PLT of the two groups with the same method ,and then we compare and analysis the results .Results The observation group's concentration of CRP is (22 .13 ± 4 .71)mg/L ,level of PLT is (241 ± 33)× 109/L .The comparison group's concentration of CRP is(2 .74 ± 0 .49) mg/L ,level of PLT is(162 ± 26) × 109/L .The result of the observation group is obvious higher than the comparison group ,and the difference is significance(P<0 .05) .The observation group's positive rate of CRP is 73 .33% ,increase of PLT is 38 .33% .The comparison group's positive rate of CRP is 3 .33% ,increase of PLT is 5 .00% .The result of the observation group is obvious higher than the comparison group ,and the difference is significance(P<0 .05) .Conclusion To the clinical diagnosis of AMI ,testing the CRP concentration and the PLT level is useful to understand the patient's host defenses and inflammation condition .It has clinical value to AM I's prevent ,diagnosis and prognosis .
9.Brain Characteristics of Open Spina Biifda on Ultrasound at 11-13+6 Weeks of Gestation

Purpose To explore the clinical value of ultrasound in charactering brain anomalies in open spina bifida at 11-13+6 weeks of gestation.Materials and Methods Abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound was performed in 125 cases of normal fetus and 4 cases of confirmed open spina bifida at 11-13+6 weeks of gestation to compare the morphology of intracranial translucency (IT), diencephalon and midbrain.Results Fetal IT was readily recognized in all 125 normal cases, with diencephalons and midbrain showing number 8 shape. In 4 cases of open spina bifida, fetal IT cannot be identified, and the expected 8 shape of diencephalon and midbrain was distorted.Conclusion Fetal brain characteristics including intracranial translucency and the shape of diencephalon and midbrain in 11-13+6 weeks gestation are valuable ultrasound screening indicators for open spina bifida.
10.Multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction for simultaneous screening of 29 chromosomal translocation in hematologic malignancies.

Multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (M-RT-PCR) has been proved to possess great clinical potential for simultaneous screening of 29 chromosomal translocations in acute leukemia. To evaluate the clinical value of M-RT-PCR in hematologic malignancies, bone marrow samples from 90 patients with various hematologic malignancies, including 25 acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), 22 acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), 27 chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), 4 myeloproliferative diseases (MPD), 3 chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL), 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), 3 myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), 2 multiple myeloma (MM) and 1 malignant histocytosis (MH) were subjected to both M-RT-PCR and chromosome karyotypic analysis. Some of cases were subjected to follow-up examination of M-RT-PCR during the period of clinical complete remission (CR) for detection of minimal residual leukemia. In our hand, 12 of 29 chromosomal translocation transcripts including TEL/PDGFR, DEK/CAN, MLL/AF6, AML1/ETO, MLL/AF9, BCR/ABL, MLL/MLL, PML/RARu, TLS/ERG, E2A/HLF, EVI1 and HOXI1 were detected in 57 cases (63.3 %) of the 90 samples, which were in consistence with the results of karyotypic analysis. Furthermore, M-RT-PCR had also shown good clinical relevance when used as an approach to detect minimal residual leukemia. We concluded that M-RT-PCR could be used as an efficient and fast diagnostic tool not only in the initial diagnosis of hematologic malignancies but also in subsequent monitor of minimal residual leukemia.
