Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2003;0(07):-
Objective To make an investigation for autoantibodies detection in China. Method Forty-eight hospitals were included by mail or Email. The items of QC include ANA, anti-ENA antibody, anti-dsDNA antibody, anti-mitochondria antibody and anti-smooth muscle antibody. The distribution of samples and analysis of the testing results was double-blinded. Result The correct rate of ANA, anti-ENA antibody, anti-dsDNA antibody, anti-mitochondria antibody and anti-smooth muscle antibody were 47%, 70%, 46%, 95%and 40% respectively. Conclusion The overall results are not optimistic. The quality of detecting kits is not all good, neither level of technicians. This condition should be changed by selecting better methods and improving understanding.

Objective To analyze the outcome of patients with acute obstruction of left colorectal cancer treated by modified antegrade colonic lavage with primary tumor resection and anastomosis. Methods From April 2002 to April 2007,112 patients with acute obstruction of left colorectal cancer underwent surgery.During the operation the left colon was exteriorized and placed into a sterilized plastic bag to protect the surgical field from contamination, then a catheter was inserted via the appendix, and after antegrade colonic lavage, primary resection and anastomosis was performed. Results Tumor resection and primary anastomosis was successfully done in the 112 cases.Postoperatively,1 case had anastomotic leak which healed after reoperation with proximal colostomy, and one patient died. Conclusions Modified antegrade colonic lavage is a simple procedure, the bowel can be rapidly decompressed with essentially no contamination, and has a high level of bowel cleansing. It is possible to safely perform primary resection and anastomosis for left colon cancer after the modified antegrade lavage.

Objective To establish HPLC assaying methods for the determination of albiflorin in the Jinsha-Paishi infusion, and to determine the content of albiflorin of different batches ofJinsha-Paishiinfusion. Methods The chromatographic conditions were with the column of C18 (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5μm), mobile phase of methyl alcohol-aqua (25:75,V/V), flow rate of 1.0 ml/min, and determined at wave length of 230 nm in room temperature. A total of 3 different batches of albiflorin were determined. Results In the range of 2.5-200μg, the distribution of paeoniflorin was linear (r=0.999 8), and theRSD of precision, stability and repeatability were less than 2%. The average recovery was 98.05%, andRSD was 1.65%. The contents of albiflorin in each batch were 0.080, 0.083, 0.077 mg/g.Conclusion The assaying method of HPLC is convenient, accurate and reliable to determinate the content of albiflrin in theJinsha-Paishi infusion. And the results showed that there was no difference of content of albiflorin among the different batches ofJinsha-Paishi infusion.

Objective To investigate the CD44v6 and heparanase in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC ) and adjacent normal lung tissues ,and to study the correlation of these two molecular in non-small cell lung cancer invasion and metastasis .Methods The expressing of CD44v6 and heparanase in 117 patients with non-small cell lung cancer tissues and 62 adjacent normal lung tissue was detected by immunohistochemical staining .Results The expression of CD44v6 in NSCLC was 54 .7% (64/117) ,which was sig-nificantly higher than in adjacent tissues of 4 .8% (3/62)(P<0 .05);the expression of heparanase in NSCLC was 86 .3% (101/117) ,which was significantly higher than the normal adjacent tissues 17 .7% (11/62)(P<0 .01);CD44v6 expression in NSCLC ex-pression was positive correlated with heparanase .Conclusion CD44v6 and heparanase are associated with the invasion and metasta-sis of NSCLC ,combined detection of the expression of the two molecular maybe has a certain reference value in determine the prog-nosis of NSCLC .

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2003;0(10):-
Objective To establish the optimal section planes for observing ventricular septal defect(VSD) by real-time three dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE).Methods In 6 pig hearts with different types of VSD, after high pressural perfusion with coupling reagent, two dimensional, dual plane and RT-3DE were performed with different section planes, estimating with half quantificational visional grade:4 marks, very clear;3 marks,clear;2 marks, not clear enough; 1 marks, not clear. Results Observation by RT-3DE, en-face view of atrial-ventricular(S2a) and en-face view of left ventricular septum(L1a) provided relatively ideal section planes in sub-arterial ventricular septal defect, S2a and en-face view of right ventricular septum(L2a) provided relatively ideal section planes in perimembranous and muscular VSD. Conclusions S2a reflects relatively ideal section plane in sub-arterial, perimembranous and muscular VSD.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of IFN-γ, IL-2 and TNF-αand pathological damage of lung tissue, and to provide reference values for protection and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods BALB/c mice models of pulmonary tuberculosis were established by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv through the caudal vein. At 0 (not infected),2,4,6W and 8W after infection, the bacterial loads in the lung were performed and the pathological damage of the lung was evaluated, respectively. At the same time, the expression of IFN-γ,IL-2 and TNF-α-positive cells in the lung tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Two weeks after infection, the expression of IFN-γ, IL-2 and TNF-αpositive cells was obviously increased compared with those at 0 week. The proportion of IFN-γ-positive cells were obviously decreased at 6 weeks (9.25%) to 8 weeks (5.67%) after infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv. At the same stage, there is a limited decrease tendency of TNF-α and IL-2 expression compared with those at 4 weeks after infection, and there was no significant difference compared with those at 2W or 4W after infection. At 8 weeks after infection, the bacterial loads (8.43) in the lung and the scores(17) of pathological damage were significantly increased compared with those at 6 weeks after infection. Conclusion The high expression of IFN-γ, IL-2 and TNF-αprotect lung tissues against MTB infection at the early stage. The decrease of IFN-γexpression is responsible for serious damage of the lung tissues in the persistent infection.
