Chinese Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2011;8(11):592-595
Objective: To investigate the feasibility and operative effect of the one-stage microsurgery for clipping of bilateral posterior communicating artery aneurysms (BpcoAA). Methods: The clinical data of 28 patients with BpcoAA were analyzed retrospectively. All patients underwent craniotomy and microsurgical clipping of BPcoAA via unilateral pterional approach. The patients were followed up for 6 months to 3 years after microsurgery. The head 3 D-CTA of the patients and their general conditions were reexamined. The Glasgow outcome scale (COS) scores were used to assess the prognosis. Results: Circled digit oneGood preoperative 3D-CTA showed 28 cases with 56 aneurysms, the aneurysms were clipped completely in 24 cases, the contralateral aneurysms were not clipped completely in 3 cases, the aneurysm was not clipped completely on the approach side in 1 case, and none of the patients died. The aneurysms ruptured in 8 cases on the approach sides during the microsurgery. Circled digit twoAfter microsurgery, 7 cases had hydrocephalus, and 5 had vasospasm on the approach sides and 3 on the contralateral sides, 3 suffered pulmonary infection, and 2 had oculomotor nerve injury on the contralateral sides. Circled digit threeThe mean follow-up time of the patients was 1.7 years. The GOS scores: 5 points in 10 cases, 4 points in 7 cases, 3 points in 9 cases, and 2 points in 2 cases. There were no aneurysm recurrence and new aneurysm formation. The patients whose aneurysms were not clipped completely had no recurrence of bleeding. Conclusion: According to 3D-CTA examination, using unilateral pterional approach, aiming at the location of the optic chiasm and the contralateral aneurysm pointing, the one-stage microsurgery for clipping of BpcoAA is safe and feasible.

Objective To discuss the relationship between the diameter of portal vein and esophagogastric variceal bleeding and the severity of liver cirrhosis by CT portal venography ( CTPV). To analyze the occurence about esophagogastric variceal bleeding under in different liver cirrhosis degree. Methods 60 patients of portal hyperten-sion with liver cirrhosis and 15 healthy volunteers (controls). According to Child-Pugh classification, 60 patients were divided into Child-Pugh A,B and C groups,According to the patients whether the esophagogastric variceal bleeding or not, it was divided into two groups that esophagogastric variceal bleeding (EVB) and no EVB. All of patients underwent with 64-slice spiral CT. Image post-processing techniques such as MIP, VR, MPR and SSD were applied to measuring the diameters of portal venous system vessels and depict the portosystemic collaterals of portal venous system. Results The diameters of the right branch of portal vein and super mesenteric vein were no statisti-cal significance between bleeding group and no bleeding group. The rest parameters of portal system in EVB group are all larger than those of no EVB group(P<0.05). Age and gender in two groups had no statistic significance. All diameters of portal system in cirrhotic group were all larger than those of control group(P<0.05). In different liver function, there are differences in each groups of diameter. The bleeding rate of different groups according to he-patic function showed statistical significance(P <0.05), higher the degree of liver cirrhosis, higher the bleeding rate. Conclusion The diameters of portal system in EVB group are larger than no EVB. All diameters of portal sys-tem in cirrhotic group are all larger than those of control group. There is difference the diameter of vascular in differ-ent hepatic function. Different degree of liver cirrhosis can predict the esophagogastric variceal bleeding.

Microbiology 2008;0(08):-
In the experiment, the production of plagues by Bdellovibrio bacteria in solid medium cultivation, the reproduction of Bdellovibrio bacteria in liquid medium cultivation and the attachment of Bdellovibrio bacteria to carrier were observed, which aimed to study the effects of enrofloxacin on the growth and at-tachment ability of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16. Results indicated that in solid medium cultivation, the production of plagues by Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 was inhibited by different concentrations (2 ?g/mL, 5 ?g/mL, 10 ?g/mL, 20 ?g/mL, 50 ?g/mL) of enrofloxacin and the inhibitory effects of enrofloxacin became stronger with the increase of the concentration of enrofloxacin. Similarly, in liquid medium cultivation, the reproduction of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 was also obviously inhibited by different concentrations ofenrofloxacin and higher concentrations of enrofloxacin such as 10 ?g/mL, 20 ?g/mL, 50 ?g/mL had stronger inhibitory effects on the reproduction of BDF-H16. However, the growth tendency of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 was not inhibited in 10 ?g/mL enrofloxacin. Additionally, when zeolite was added, enrofloxacin had also inhibitory effects on the numbers of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 attached to zeolite. With the increase of the concentrations of enrofloxacin, the numbers of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 attached to zeolite became smaller and smaller. However, the attachment rate of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 to zeo-lite became higher under 2 ?g/mL-20 ?g/mL enrofloxacin. The results above showed that enrofloxacin had inhibitory effects on the plague production and reproduction of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16, but the at-tachment ability of Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16 was strengthened in liquid medium cultivation with 2 ?g/mL-20 ?g/mL enrofloxacin and zeolite, and adding zeolite helped to reduce the adverse effects of en-rofloxacin on Bdellovibrio bacteria BDF-H16.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
Objective: The effects of purple-fleshed sweet potato anthocyanin (PSA) on anti-oxidation and anti-aging were investigated. Methods: The effects of different doses of PSA(100、 500、1000 mg/kg bw)on the serum T-AOC were investigated in aged mice after administration for 3 d, 10 d and 18 d. The content of MDA, the activity of serum SOD and blood GSH-Px were measured, and compared with those in Vit E and control group after 30 d. Result: PSA significantly increased the serum T-AOC in aged mice, and this increment was higher when given longer. PSA significantly decreased MDA and enhanced SOD and GSH-Px activities. The efficiency on antioxidative capacity of aged mice at PSA 100 mg/kg bw was equivalent to that of vitamin E at the same amount (100 mg/kg bw). The antioxidation state of 13 mo mice given PSA at 1000 mg/kg bw was near to that of 4 mo mice. Conclusion: PSA has marked effect of antioxidation and can delay aging.
