Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(01):-
ObjectiveTo investigate the management of myonephropathic-metabolic syndrome (MNMS) after acute arterial occlusion. Methods17 cases of MNMS caused by acute arterial occlusion were restrospectively reviewed. Results5 cases were cured, 6 cases died of sudden cardiac arrest induced by hyperkalemia, and another 6 cases died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) complicated by acute renal failure. The total mortality rate was 71% and the amputation rate was 41%.ConclusionEarly revascularization should be performed in acute arterial occlusion. In patients with compartment syndrome, fasciotomy should be performed as soon as possible. Early amputation of gangrene limb is very important to prevent MNMS. Early and effective fluid resuscitation and alkalinization is the key point to prevent ARF, early hemodialysis for ARF is very important in treating MNMS.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(14):689-694
Objective:To investigate the correlation of FAT10 expression with the malignant characteristics of hepatocellular car-cinoma (HCC), and to explore the effect of FAT10 on RhoA and cytoskeleton of HCC. Methods: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used to detect the FAT10 expression level of 108 HCC patients, and the correlation between the expression of FAT10 and the malignant characteristics of HCC patients was analyzed. We transiently transfected plasmids with overexpressed FAT10 using 7721 and HepG2 cells or interfered with FAT10 expression using siRNA in Huh7 and LM3 cells. Active-RhoA, total-RhoA, and ROCK protein expres-sion levels were detected by Western blot analysis after overexpression or interference. We also used immunofluorescence to detect changes in the cytoskeleton protein F-actin after FAT10 overexpression in 7721 cells. Results:Correlation analysis showed that both ac-tive-RhoA and FAT10 expression levels were significantly correlated with clinical malignant characteristics by using IHC (RhoA:me-tastasis, P=0.036 and recurrence, P=0.026;FAT10:metastasis, P=0.031 and recurrence P=0.004). In addition, active-RhoA expression level was correlated with FAT10 (P=0.000). Survival analysis showed that the prognoses of low-expression active RhoA (P=0.019) or FAT10 (P=0.026) groups were significantly better than those of the high-expression groups. Western blot analysis showed that FAT10 increased the expression of active-RhoA and ROCK. However, the expression of active-RhoA and ROCK decreased after FAT10 inter-ference. F-actin expression increased in the 7721 cells with overexpressed FAT10 (all P<0.01). Moreover, FAT10 facilitated F-actin ag-gregation on cell membrane and changes in F-actin. Conclusion:FAT10 is correlated with the malignant characteristics of HCC and may promote changes in HCC cytoskeleton induced by active-RhoA.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the epidemic situation of vertical dissemination of the Escherichia coli(ECO) and Klebsiella pneumoniae(KPN) isolates producing extended-spectrum beta-lactamases in the hospital.METHODS The fingerprints of the isolates were obtained by pulsed-field-gel-electrophoresis(PFGE),and were analyzed with software Quantity One.RESULTS The similarity of 10 isolates and 7 isolates among the 21 ECO(isolates) from ICU was more than 90%,and 100%,respectively;the similarity of 3 KPN isolates was 100%.The similarity of 9 isolates among the 20 ECO(isolates) was more than 90% and the similarity of 4 isolates among the 6 KPN isolates was more than 90% in the neurosurgery ward. The similar coefficients of 3 isolates and 2(isolates)(among) the 10 ECO isolates from the ward for cadre were more than 90% and 100%,(respectively.) The similar(coefficients) of 2 isolates among the 7 ECO isolates from the gastroenterology ward and 2(isolates)(among) the 18 ECO isolates from the respiratory ward were more than 90%.The isolates whose similarity was more than 90% were also found in other wards.CONCLUSIONS There are vertical disseminations of single clone of ESBL-producing organisms in several wards, especially in the ICU.It is necessary to strengthen the management of(infection)-control.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2000;0(12):-
Objective To summarize our experience in treating abdominal aorta saddle embolism(ASE).Methods The clinical data of 21 cases of abdominal ASE were treated with Fogarty catheter and other(methods) during January 2000 to July 2006 were retrospectively assessed. Results After the blood flow was restored by operation,4 died in the postoperative early stage because of sudden cardiac asystole due to(hyperkalemia);in the late stage,6 died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome socondary from acute renal(failure)(ARF).Eleven patients were cured.Of them, bilateral lower extremites were salvaged in 5 patients;and 6 patients received amputation.Ten patients were followed up,and the blood supply of the salvaged legs was good. Conclusions Early diagnosis and embotism removal are the key points to decrease the mortality and amputation rate of ASE.The intra-operative and post-operative prevention and management of(hyperkalemia) and ARF are important for reduction of mortality.
