The bioavailability of zinc in normal and zinc deficient LACA mice was investigated using isotope zinc-65. The intestinal absorption of Zn in the zinc-deficient mice (71.913.6%) was significantly higher than that in the normal mice (38.8?6.8%). No difference on Zn distribution in the body was observed. Specific activity of zinc-65 in liver, spleen, kindey and muscle in the zinc-deficient mice was significantly higher than that in the normal mice. The retention curve of zinc-65 in mice was properly fitted into two exponential functions. The biological half-times of zinc in blood, spleen, lung, femur and muscle attached to femur in the zinc-deficient mice was slower and ration ratio in the slower clearance component in the zinc-deficient mice, was larger than that in the normal mice.

Prone position ventilation has become an important part of lung protective ventilation in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) patients. Timely and appropriate implementation can improve the mortality of such patients. The same is true for patients with critical coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, but safety assessment, control of implementation details and prevention of complications still need to be further standardized during the practical procedure of prone position ventilation. The purpose of this paper is to explain the specific requirements and key points of prone position ventilation in critical COVID-19 patients, in order to promote the application of prone position ventilation in the treatment of patients with critical COVID-19 and reduce the occurrence of related complications.

Objective To enhance the cognition about the adult contagious atypical pneumonia for an expectation of earlier diagnosis, prevention and treatment. Methods We analyzed and summarized X-ray lung and clinical characteristics of 34 patients with contagious atypical pneumonias who were admitted to our hospital from Feb to April. 2003.Results X-ray findings of lung were characterized by mostly involving unilateral and presenting ill defined cloud or patches-form opacities. These lesions progressed and varied rapidly. The clinical manifestations were characterized by the onset of fever (34/34), mostly associated with systemic and joint aching pains (29/34) and dry coughs (29/34). Leucocyte counts showed normal or lower than normal. Patient with a continuing high fever might tend to develop ARDS (2/34). All the 34 patients recovered after combined therapies (anti-inflammation, anti-virus and promoting immunity ) and were discharged from hospital. The average in-hospital days were (10.6?4.2) days. Conclusion X-ray examination is the main method for the early diagnosis and observing state-variation. The predominant clinical features of this disease are fever, dry cough, aching pain in extremities, unconspicuous pulmonary signs as well as hemogram not rising, a continuing high fever may lead to the tendency of ARDS.

Objective To explore the correlation of procalcitonin (PCT) level and postoperative complications of col-orectal cancer. Methods Applied double antibodies sandwich immune chemical fluorescence to study spectrometry ret rospectively for 80 patients with colorectal cancer after operation 1,2,3,5 and 7 days, and detected the original value of the serum calcitonin changes, then analyzed the related to the postoperative possible complications principle of col-orectal cancer. Results Study of 80 patients postoperative complications with colorectal cancer showedSerum calcitonin original variation can predict postoperative complications of colorectal cancer and positively correlate with cytokines, intestinal bacteria endotoxin, D-lactulose and diamine oxidase, the difference had statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion Serum calcitonin original variations can analyze postoperative possible complications of colorectal cancer, such assystemic inflammatory response, inflammatory intestinal obstruction, anastomotic leakage, and so on.

Objective To analyze the possible causes for medical disputes in order to provide a theoretical basis for further prevention of medical disputes through field investigations of disputes between medical staff and patients at all levels of modern hospitals. Methods All 100 cases of medical disputes which occurred in different levels of hospital in Hu'nan province from January 2000 to January 2014, were randomly selected and collected in field. According to the designed survey factors, statistical meta-analysis was conducted, and the probability P was calculated, so that the probability of occurrence of various factors could be analyzed. It was statistically significant (0≤P≤1). Thus, the rel-evance of a variety of causes for medical disputes could be inferred. Results Traditional statistical methods were used to analyze the survey data, and the domestic medical disputes occurred for many reasons, mainly including the insuffi-cient understanding between medical staff and patients, high medical costs, imperfect laws and regulations and other issues. We could take appropriate measures based on the causes so that we could reduce medical disputes and avoid the occurrence and development of medical disputes. Conclusion For the growing number of current medical disputes,we should always be vigilant and find relevant issues. We shall take effective measures to prevent the occurrence of medical disputes, severely deal with criminals who caused the doctor-patient violence, and safeguard fair, reasonable and orderly, harmonious and friendly medical order and medical environment. It is of great practical and social signifi-cance. Characteristics of foreign medical disputes are compared and the reference methods of prevention and treatment measures abroad should be learned. The analysis of foreign examples and measures shows relatively less medical dis-putes.

Critical ultrasonography(CUS) is different from the traditional diagnostic ultrasound, the examiner and interpreter of the image are critical care medicine physicians. The core content of CUS is to evaluate the pathophysiological changes of organs and systems and etiology changes. With the idea of critical care medicine as the soul,it can integrate the above information and clinical information, bedside real-time diagnosis and titration treatment, and evaluate the therapeutic effect so as to improve the outcome.CUS is a traditional technique which is applied as a new application method. The consensus of experts on critical ultrasonography in China released in 2016 put forward consensus suggestions on the concept, implementation and application of CUS.It should be further emphasized that the accurate and objective assessment and implementation of CUS requires the standardization of ultrasound image acquisition and the need to establish a CUS procedure. At the same time, the standardized training for CUS accepted by critical care medicine physicians requires the application of technical specifications, and the establishment of technical specifications is the basis for the quality control and continuous improvement of CUS.Chinese Critical Ultrasound Study Group and Critical Hemodynamic Therapy Collabration Group, based on the rich experience of clinical practice in critical care and research, combined with the essence of CUS,to learn the traditional ultrasonic essence, established the clinical application technical specifications of CUS,including in five parts:basic view and relevant indicators to obtain in CUS;basic norms for viscera organ assessment and special assessment;standardized processes and systematic inspection programs;examples of CUS applications;CUS training and the application of qualification certification. The establishment of applied technology standard is helpful for standardized training and clinical correct implementation. It is helpful for clinical evaluation and correct guidance treatment, and is also helpful for quality control and continuous improvement of CUS application.
